I swear there are only three other people playing Wild Casual right now. I keep getting the same people. Not the same issue when I switch to Standard. It is so frustrating.

you are probably right. Wild casual player pool is so small that I meet the same ppl too. And for some reason, most of them are pirate warriors

Been playing HS for about 2 months now. Spent most of my time just collecting as many cards as I could, playing with the basic decks and trying to learn the game. I decide it's time to make a deck with my excess dust so I make a budget mid-range hunter. Play a bunch of games with that and have obviously pushed my MMR up in doing so. This evening I have a quest to get 5 wins with priest/paladin. So, I throw together a Paladin deck and jump into casual. Half an hour of getting whooped by actual decks later I think maybe the deck I have made is just bad. Find some example decks and create something similar from my collection and that fares even worse. Another half an hour getting flogged with 2 random insta-concedes thrown in. Decide to try the level 10 deck since I know I used to be able to get at least some wins with that. It seems to fare slightly better and actually beats an evolve shaman (I think he just got bad draws), then a random concede, then I seem to run into a squad of aggro druids and take loss after loss for another solid half an hour. At this point i have lost what must be at least 20-30 games in less than 2 hours and the game is still matching me with people who have Golden Hero emotes. I understand why MMR doesn't drop as fast as it climbs but this is ridiculous. Changed decks again and tried a couple of games in ranked but at this time of the month level 20 ranked is a lions den. So back to casual and another 15 minutes of getting repeatedly bodied by the same 2-3 meta decks and after I get a reasonably good start to a game my opponent concedes. So that was 2 hours of frustration in a game I have otherwise really enjoyed so far. For the record I know one way to get around this would be to let my objectives build up and roll them every day until I have only hunter quests and I will be doing that in future. But I feel this is something that would be very easily fixed by Blizzard and them saying MMR works the way it does to avoid smurfing would be a lot easier to accept if the game wasn't filled to the rafters with smurfs regardless. For the record I'm still loving HS but for someone who is thinking about making their first major investment into the game things like this are really off-putting. Anyway, rant over. Proceed to tell me to git gud etc etc...

Nope, no criticism or insults, just kinda sorry. Hearthstone is far from new player friendly, which isnt helped by the fact that many use casual mode to complete quests with net decks for quickest and most efficient result or that net decks can be seen as low as rank 20. I'm not sure how to change this either. When I first started out, experienced the same thing and it was horrible facing experienced players with net decks when you are playing some cobbled-together hunter bcos its cheap. Would've gave up on it if I didnt have friends that play the game longer who showed me the fun you could have with a larger card collection. So, keep at it I guess, it gets better as your card collection grow but if you give up in frustration, I can't blame you.

unpopoular opinion: i would rather you give your 80g to somoene else than play against a netdeck in an 80g challenge.

You might have to state beforehand though, bcos honestly I wouldn't know. I think it's the same for most.

If you "prefer" to play a game like that .... you are playing the wrong game. Hearthstone requires neither building decks, nor making decisions.

"Integrity" ... you actually think it shows integrity to send a "FRIEND" request, for the sole purpose of BM'ing someone? You say English isn't your native language ... perhaps you should Google the English definition of the words "friend" and "integrity" .... I am not sure you understand what they mean.

And calling an asshole an asshole, does not make someone an asshole. I am, however, pretty sure that flaming someone for not wanting to just vomit together some random cards and call it being "creative" is being an asshole.

And I do not think that pointing out a spelling error on an internet forum is "public shaming" ... , so sorry snowflake, you are gonna have to look elsewhere for a "safe space" if your skin is that thin, because you may not be able to handle the internet. Wouldn't wan't you to get triggered or anything.
Yeah i don't think you were pointing it out as a simple spelling error it was obviously a lowkey insult. But nevermind that let's get past that and say that you are not an asshole. I can't deal with a 12 year old drama. I'm wrong you are right. There, happy?
Anyways back to the topic at hand, i do believe indeed that making your own deck and not copying everything like a mindless puppet shows a certain level of integrity. Level high enough for me to be able to take moral highground against those who just copy easiest deck and don't put a single though in the game that is happening in front of them. Heck i prehaps could even get past netdecking but the fact that they are not making any decisions makes my skin crawl. If you are one of those netdeckers you probably can't understand how i feel.

      "I can't deal with a 12 year old drama."
lol ...speaking of low key insults ...

"i do believe indeed that making your own deck and not copying everything like a mindless puppet shows a certain level of integrity."

Again, you toss an insult "mindless puppet", but then follow that up with "integrity" ... must be the language barrier again. The "issue at hand" here, is that you, by your own admission, will add someone after a game, and flame them for "netdecking", because you somehow feel superior because you cobble some cards together and feel like that makes you better. I am going to step out on a limb here and guess you prefer to play this way because it gives you an excuse to lose. If your shitty "creative" deck loses 75% of the time, you can always blame "netdecking" for you loss. Whatever makes ya feel better, I guess.

Heck i prehaps could even get past netdecking

It's perhaps .... just thought I should point that out.

If you are one of those netdeckers you probably can't understand how i feel.

Don't have a single deck that I play that is identical to a "front page" deck, but all but a couple fun meme decks all started from someone's idea. I might change a couple cards, or I might change a handful ... depends on what works for me. This has been discussed ad nauseam in another thread here regarding netdecking. You will find in that thread that I believe people just use the term to be derogatory towards other players ... and you have solidified my position on that in this thread as well.

You know whats funny is, is that it doesn't play out the same way in reverse. I may come across someone playing a HORRIBLE deck, and just stomp the daylights out of them. But I don't feel compelled to add them, and tell them how shitty their deck was. In fact, on a few occasions, I have added them to ask questions about it ... how it plays, why they chose this card over that card, ect.

I guess I just never have felt the need to belittle someone over the way they play a game .... which, by the way, is what integrity really is.

Wow, nicely said. I kinda wanna see how he responds now.

No one has any right or say in what deck you play, be it a homebrew or a netdeck. They can be bitter and salty however much they want, as long as it isnt cheating or against blizzard rules in some way, it's fine. Anyone who says otherwise is merely imposing standards they created themselves on others. Standards that were created for an ego trip, standards that dont matter to anyone except the fella who tells himself he's more intelligent than the net decker or the aggro player to console himself after an 'unfair' loss , standards for the sole purpose of masturbation. I don't give a crap about what deck you are playing, if you aren't cheating, you are fine. Those who belittle others for the decks they play, get off your high horse. No one regards you in the same light you do.

That said, if you are bitter after a match and add ppl to flame, I'm personally okay with it. Blizzard system allows it. It isn't pleasant or sportsman-like but I understand that feeling of frustration when you lose to luck or feel like there was nothing you could do to change the outcome. But I'm pretty sure you are aware of the cowardice in venting yet running away when ppl are about to retaliate by unfriending. If you are aware and yet still do it, it kinda says alot about your character.

    Hi,

I just did a 3v3 but I didn't get the hero, did I do something wrong?

Maybe it wasnt a tavern but a fireside gathering. See the sign, it should put an emblem and a name, not the words 'fireaide gathering'.

Guys, u do not need 6 ppl to 3v3 for Nemsy. It can be done 1v1, just that you will be playing 3 heroes in one game.

posted a message on My Story of How I didn't obtain Nemsy Necrofizzle

The only scenario I can think of, provided it's not a glitch, is that it wasnt a tavern but a gathering. In my first attempt, I saw a shield logo, assumed it was a tavern and participated in a 3v3 brawl with another fella only to get nothing. Then noticed the words 'fireside gathering' on the shield logo and cursed my carelessness.
