Im way more disappointed there isn't some cooky animation to go along with the Vilespine effect. Like some chomping sound or something. Instead we get the same old Assassinate animation. MEH. MEH. MEH.

    Wasted opportunity. </3

posted a message on My own prediction regarding the Hunter class...

Hunter does one thing very well and giving it more versatility without giving them more tools to dominate aggro is a tough design problem to solve. They get strange cards for this very reason, much like Warlock.

Hunters always been my #2 and i've crafted every single legend in hopes of the control archetype becoming a thing. I am more optimistic this time around because of the availability of Life Steal and some great taunt value minions. Hand buffing is part of their kit as is deathrattle and im going to do my best to work within these class "strengths" to make control happen in the coming seasons.

posted a message on Death Knight Gul'Dan ft. Kazakus & Krul

I don't see it being viable. Its too muddled. There are reasons why Highlander priest did well and its because of the ability to sustain properly, and high value class minions. The deck won't be pulling major value Krul drops and you're getting no spell damage value out of Defile. You're missing the mark here on making it look like handlock. I think highlander isn't going to lift off for Warlock, even with the new cards, we just get out valued too hard early and mid-game.

Building a solid value oriented demon-lock with a lot of support from the new set will likely be the way to go. Consistency is whats going to get you ranks.

posted a message on How did i do on my Highlander Demonlock Theorycraft?

Hi, fellow demon enthusiast here, struggling time and time again with a terrible, terrible archetype.

When i look at this, i see a lot of wasted potential in the new cards this looks like its trying to be handlock. The bottom line is that we lack tempo in a world filled with mega-value cards and early game domination.

Your setup here needs draw and you should highly consider running a 2 of Defile or Despicable Dreadlord and take the risk on a delayed Kazakus or Krul drop. You'll want to keep the field clear and you can't afford to be taking needless damage. Grabbing a Bloodmage Thalnos and/or the new Tainted Zealot will net you Defile, Drain Soul, Hellfire, Mortal Coil, Shadow Bolt and Shadowflame value.

Think of each popular archetype and class and build answers for them. You have no good way of playing around secrets. You lose value on devolve, you can't draw the right answers at the right time due to inconsistency. You need to cut the fat here and really refine what you're aiming to do.

while playing zoo, +2 attack is a better choice to trade small minions for bigger ones.

While this is true, the perm +1 attack is good on mid-range minions. Its possible this card fits well into a Zoo with a curve further out. Excited to try this out.. Imagine Zoo coming back? Wow.

The new 4/5 demon in gold. Blood Reaver Gul'Dan in gold, Fallen Sun Cleric and Acherus Veteran annnnnd maaaybe Blackguard but epics are hard to justify gold since that expense..

Interesting choices. May I ask why those?

Love the new card arts for each of those, especially Acherus Veteran and Blackguard i can just imagine the glow they will have will be excellent. The commons in gold are easy enough to grab too and both Fallen Sun Cleric and Acherus Veteran can possibly fit into a new form of Zoo i will be tinkering with.

The only Leg will be Blood Reaver Gul'Dan in gold. However, im also going to grab the awesome cart arts in gold. Fallen Sun Cleric and Acherus Veteran annnnnd maaaybe Blackguard but epics are hard to justify gold since that expense..

Possible value play in Zoo lock. Unwilling Sacrifice value? Couple this with the new sexy Acherus Veteran and Fallen Sun Cleric + Zoo staples, its going to be a nasty couple of trades. ;3

Defile combo, two card, 4mana and at least 4dmg to everyone with posibility of 5/6/7/8/...

Yeah I was thinking the same. That divine shield is actually significant with ALL damage-based warlock board clears.
I can also see mage running it with their potion card.
It's actually automatically 5 damage (assuming you killed something with 2 health on the first activation. 2 health twice, second 2 health kililng tainted , giving you a 3rd activation for 5 damage. Could easily get you to 6, 7 or 8 damage.
This is the kind of stuff Warlock needs to push tempo. After you've defiled a huge board, you can then throw something down and start fresh. I think theres no need to run Fel Fire Potion now, and neutral lock is looking hella strong once again.

posted a message on New Legendary Card Reveal - Arfus

Arfus is way better than the Lich King imo. Its an auto include in all control decks though, so the design is kind of shit in this regard.

Nevermind. This is actually much less useful on a second look/thought. Mainly because of priest and shaman prevalence. However, fun as hell

posted a message on Warlock Hero Reveal - Bloodreaver Gul'dan

Been playing Demonlock for some years. Got all that shit in gold. Legend multiple times with the decks. Going to say this card is playable because the main problem i have is tempo. Warlock is outgunned and outclassed in every area and getting tempo relies almost solely on opponents misplays. Playing at high levels is extremely difficult to say the very least.

What we have gotten from the set is going to help a lot with the tempo problem. We are getting Defile and Drain Soul and finally Despicable Doomguard, all being tempo cards. Bringing back a couple 1/3 taunts, a 4/5 and a 6/6 is enough to legitimize the new Battlecry and if the Warlock survives turn 11, its going to be very clear who is going to win the game.

All in all, if the new tempo cards prove good enough to push warlock into the later turns, this WILL be very good. We will need to see, but things are looking good.
