The new effect of Queen Azshara (mage legendary) is ambiguous. Is it supposed to be an aura effect ? If so that means that if Azshara dies all minions return to their original state ?
Also why were some cards changed completely ? Polymorph: Naga and Sanctuary Guardian are completely new...
1. It's an aura effect that modifies the stats and tribe of minions, so as soon as she leaves play every minion reverts back. Keep in mind that this is not a transformation, meaning all of the minions will retain their text, cost, etc.
2. There are a couple of possible reasons why a card changed completely.
a. The card didn't fit the set, either mechanically or flavorfully
b. We tried making balance changes but weren't able to without changing the card
c. We felt that the class was missing something and the replacement was necessary
Sorry if some of your cards have been changed, we tried to stick to the originals as much as possible.
Hunter cards aside I have to say that Mad Murlocs is my favorite card of the bunchboth mechanically and visually. Just look at how cute these murlocs are!
Welcome back once again to the development of Throne of the Tides the (not yet official) expansion of Hearthpwn. We've got a huge thread coming up so I'm going to keep this introduction short and straight to the point. This thread will be broken down into three sections:
Section 1: The legendary vote. As you all know, every team got to design three legendaries and now the time has come to pick the best designs. The three polls above correspond to each legendary. Vote up!
Section 2: The neutrals are here! You all did amazing job designing them.
Section 3: Unlike the neutrals, the class cards are done done (like, DONE done). No more changes, no more excuses.
Now all that's left to do is pick out three legendaries and refine the neutrals and we've got ourselves a professional looking expansion. The amount of effort put into this is unbelievable, every single person who has contributed will be credited once the set is complete. I'm both excited and sad that this project is coming to a close, let us work on another collaborative project in the future!
Bloodsail Grouper seems very strong. The fact that it can be a 2 mana 3/2 or a 3 mana 3/4 is perhaps a little bit much. Maybe if it gained +1/+1 instead so that way it would not have optimal stat distribution in both mana costs.
Southsea Swordsmith is also too powerful. Should cost 6. Wounded Murloc as well. It's downside is too slow to matter. It's functionally a 3 mana 4/4. If it lost health at the end of your turn it would be slightly more balanced because it would die a little faster.
It's a vanilla minion in both scenarios and it's available to all classes so I really don't see a problem with it.
I was going to wait for the other teams to post their neutrals but seeing as they need a bit more time I'll go ahead and post the neutral legendaries our group created. Enjoy!
We do have one more VERY special legendary that we're saving for next Saturday, so there's more to come.
3/4 mana draws 1 card, 5/6 mana draws 2 cards, 7/8 mana draws 3 cards and 9/10 mana draws 4 cards (these mana amounts include the cost of Forbidden Knowledge). It's below curve when compared to most card draw spells in the game but it's definitely the most flexible.
A large portion of these cards are not formatted correctly. If you want the WDC to be successful you shouldn't allow cards that wouldn't even pass through spellcheck into the finals.
What made you think that this wasn't absurd. +10 spell power? Fits at any point of the curve? You can get damage spells down to 0 mana, quite reliably. Not to mention that to top that all off this becomes incredibly difficult to kill with the health buff.

A servant of C'Thun is any card that interacts with C'Thun, such as: Twin Emperor Vek'lor, Beckoner of Evil, etc.
