Instead of getting new mechanics I would like to see older mechanics to be expanded on such as Inpire and Joust.

posted a message on A revision of Warlock Legendaries so far

TGT came out with Wilfred Fizzlebang then Old Gods came out with Cho'gall and now we have Krul the Unshackled and Warlock seems to be a class that unsatisfying in term of legendary minions.

But a closer look to these cards reveal that this are cards that are either bad or with a small buff or tweak complety broken.

First less take a look to what all this cards have in common; they all let warlock get around the manacost of their cards by either reducing it to 0, paying in health or by playing the cards inmediatly. And what deck archetype benefits the most from this kind of effects? Combo decks!

However there is something that stops each one of these legendaries from enabling these decks.

    1)  Wilfred Fizzlebang Only works on cards from Life Tap making it incredibly difficult to get the discount on more than one card. The problem with this card is not his stats since it was never intended to be played to generate board presence. The problem with this card is that you can't get his effect multiple times.

    - If the effect was triggered with any draws then you could get this effect triggered 2 to 3 times on average. Imagine a 0 mana 10 damage board clear with Abyssal Enforcer + Shadowflame or to guarantee that your C'Thun triggers his effect twice with Bran.

    - A similar effect would be possible if the card costed 2 less (A 4 mana 2/2). It would require discounts from  Emperor Thaurissan on this card and Justicar Trueheart or play it with Garrison Commander to get the effect twice.

    2) Cho'gall has a similar problem (Not being able to get the effect multiple times). If Cho'gall allowed to cast as many spells at the cost of your health as you wanted during the turn is played, people would use him like a Combo enabler in Wild format on OTK decks.

    - Since the card has the potential to become really powerful witch each set is more reasonable to think in a world where Cho'gall limits you to 1 spell but has another upside like + 1 Spell Damage or he is a 8/7. In those scenarios he would be used more often in combination with Shadowflame to reach targets like Ragnaros the Firelord or any other 8/8 legendary minion. The control matchups with Renolock would change a lot with such an small change.

    3) Finally Krul the Unshackled is somewhat limited by his "Reno flavor" restriction but runing a few duplicates is not a problem after all, some people might remember Frezee mage list that run Reno by playing around few duplicates and heavy card draw. In that sense Krul could be used in a deck with 2 Doomguard and 2 Power Overwhelming but we know that 18 damage is far from impressive when Renolock has Leeroy + PO + Faceless combo for 20 damage and 2 less cards. The problem with Krul is that he cannot trigger Battlecries or that he doesn't let you choose what you put in to the board.

    - Since the card is mean for a control deck anyway imagine if the effect of this card was (with the "Reno flavor" restriction ofc) to"reduce the cost of your demons to 0 this turn"? Imagine how strong is to play Abyssal Enforcer in to Jaraxxus.

Blizzard knew that small differences in the effects of these cards could turn the class around and make it really strong, we know that they won't never buff cards so this thread is just humble theorycraft but is kinda sad that they weren't bold enough on the release of these legendaries.

I don't mind when they repeat some brawls many times but this one... oh boy this one is so bad, they need to understand that to much rng is not a good experience, to much rng makes the player feel like they are in front of a slot machine waiting to have a random streak of luck, knowing that your victory is probably going to mean that your opponent feels like shit.

After Shielded Minibot left standar format Paladin lacked good 2 drops and the Skychaser Templar not only smooths the curve is also a card oriented towards midrange and control Paladin rather than aggro, which is something that Paladin has been craving since G&G.

This card can be used like a win condition in the Yogg and Load decks, by reducing the cost of this card and Unleash the Hounds

with Emperor Thaurissan you can deal a lot of damage by playing several cheap spells to boost the damage of your hounds.

The 1/1 Sapling card is the same as the one from Living Roots.

posted a message on Group therapy! Need to blow off steam? Mega salty? Here is the place!

I'll run you through this step by step:

1: Me Control Warrior, Enemy is Aggro Zoolock

2: During the first 3 turns he beings to swarm the board with Lepper Gnome, Flame Imp, Abusive Sargeant and Voidwalker (I kill the Imp with Bash)

3: At turn 4 I kill the Voidwalker with Death's Bite and hopefully kill the others minions with WW next turn

4: So the Zoolock does the sensible thing and play 2 more minions with 1 health (Another Lepper Gnome and another Abusive Sargeant) and soulfires my face.

5: On turn 5 I clear the board and get 2 armor with armorsmith and Acolyte of pain (I have Shieldmaidenin my hand for turn 6 and Justicar for turn 7 or 8)

Now you are telling yourself that I secure board control, the enemy Warlock has 1 card on his hand and that I hold card advantage, it would feel extra better beating a Warlock that BMs you each fucking turn with "Greetings" like and asshole.

But no, on his turn he topdecks Leeroy Jenkins and plays second Soulfire on my face for lethal, It feels really bad when HS RNG rewards the player who plays poorly and acts like an asshole.

I wanted to snap my own neck, because every turn I had to sit down and think carefully how to survive until I could clear the board and how I see myself winning that game and he took like 5 seconds in each turn, also I remember playing against that guy before and he played Brann and Flame Imp in that order.
