Planned nerfs are only part of the way to fixing the current problems. Keleseth untouched, Scalebane untouched, Cubelock has no changes, Ultimate Infestation untouched, Spiteful Summoner untouched, Call to Arms untouched, Naga Sea Witch still busted, Jade Idol untouched. I can't take this game seriously when you can still pull off wins by turn 5 or turn 6 Spiteful Summoner into a Deathwing Dragonlord or some shit.

posted a message on Patches! Patches! Patches!!!!!!!

Patches gets the blame for the most part because he's the earliest snowball card in the game. Look at the winrates of decks running Patches and compare games where they drew him in the opening hand vs. pulled from the deck. If you hate aggro decks like I do, and hear "I'm in charge now!" in the first minute of every match, it starts to get really old and fast. I hate cards like Scavenging Hyena, Mana Worm, Prince Keleseth, Vicious Fledgling, and Frothing Berserker for the same reason. Knowing that the game can be over because they pulled Patches, and/or got a powerful opener from low cost minions (which is ridiculous), while you have a hand full of cards that cost 4+ Mana and no answer is incredibly frustrating.

I feel like I'm unlikely to enjoy this expansion until the next rotation and/or round of nerfs. I opened maybe 40 odd packs and deleted all of my previous decks to try out some new cards and ideas. Most of the games so far are against slightly tweaked versions of the same decks from KFT. So boring to still be playing against Jade Druid, Razakus Priest, Secret Mage, Evolve Shaman, anyone with the pirate package, Keleseth, Scalebane, and Bonemare.

P.s. Duskbreaker is a bullshit card that Priest didn't need. The only good thing is it means there's slightly less chance of Netherspite Historian discovering 50 Drakonid Operatives.

posted a message on Why does Blizzard hate Hunter so much?

I think it's largely because even a slight power creep can quickly make Hunter OP due to the strength of the basic set and hero power. I'd really like them to push Hunter further away from Smorc, with more decent control tools. If you consider that it's not that difficult for a F2P midrange deck to reach Legend, Blizzard needs to be careful not to push too many cheap early game cards like Crackling Razormaw and Bearshark.

posted a message on Why King Krush is so bad ???

There are a few ways to buff your hand, so King Krush can be a hefty finisher. I opened Don Hancho awhile back and had some fun games where Krush would do massive damage. Stitched Tracker has also meant that you can discover multiples, not to mention from cards like Jeweled Macaw.

At this point they should just remove emotes. I've tried greeting many players, and most won't respond back. Perhaps they assume I'm BMing them because I have a good hand, and players have done that to me, so fair enough, but I feel like it's intrinsically linked to the state of the game at the moment. No positive player interaction, and I'm more likely to just concede a game, than think my opponent actually deserves a 'well played'.

I can't recall the last time I've played against someone with an interesting deck of their own creation, so I haven't added someone outside of Hearthpwn in ages. A friend request now will almost certainly be followed by abuse. I was playing a different region on my account where I don't have a lot of cards and was back at Rank 25. On my way to Rank 20, I faced three Keleseth decks, a Razakus Priest, a Big Priest, and a Jade Druid. I'm really struggling to enjoy this game lately. There's no break from the overpowered netdecks.

They should just make evolve cost 2 Mana like devolve. The DK would also be fine at 6 Mana.

posted a message on A suggestion for emotes.

If you're like me and typically end up squelching a lot of opponents that like to spam/abuse emotes, I thought of a simple fix that Blizzard could implement that would make the game more enjoyable.

I know that some have suggested an 'auto-squelch' option for years, but I don't think Blizzard would ever go for this, mainly because they largely see emotes as a 'fun' thing, and it's the only limited communication you can have during a game. It would also affect the players who simply want to say 'Greetings' and 'Well Played' at the start and end of games.

When I was playing the recent Tavern Brawl and trying to beat The Lich King with Priest, I tested the emotes, and was surprised to see that they get replaced with a ..., or in Anduin's case, a muffled response that you can't understand. A frustrating thing right now is that if someone is being annoying, you can squelch them, but you still see the hero portrait light up constantly, as they don't realise you can no longer hear or see what they're saying.

If we could change it so that once you have been squelched, all of the emotes get changed to ..., I think it would improve the overall experience of Hearthstone and reduce the anger that emotes can induce in certain people. The reason I think this would be an easy fix is that they don't need to change the hero portrait being highlighted, as it's necessary for the heroes that can attack, and targeting with spells or minions, but instead if a player who is abusing emotes goes to do it, they'll get a ... instead and presumably wouldn't bother trying anymore for the reminder of the game.

    Thoughts?

Hydra so interactive on turn 4 and 5 LUL. you must be so bad to have to play that garbage

Control Shaman hilariously wrecks Aggro Druid and Hunters that play Hydra. Volcano says hello for 24 face damage.
