Hearthpwn

Lots and lots of Mages. 

Although I don't really enjoy playing against Aggro much  I don't mind them as much as the Hunter meta we all had to endure. Give it a week though and maybe my saltiness while prevail though XD

I'm really glad everyone is finding Bolvar to be a good card :D   

I've gotten more out of this card than I expected really. Of course this is arena, but I still think this guy could be a useful one of in Demon Locks

No, it is not a permanent +2/+2, like Stormwind Champion, they will lose the buff when Mal is removed. 

By permanent I meant its not just applied upon playing it and is a static effect. So I should have said aura :P. It can be applied to new Demons that are played after Mal

A Demonfire. Its decent but not good enough for two. Even if Demonlock is viable once GvG drops (which I'm really hoping it is) I doubt Demonfire will see much play let alone two.

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWW YEAH. 9/7 isn't great but it isn't too vulnerable either. If this was just giving your demons +2/+2 I wouldnt like it but the ability to tap and not lose any health is great too. 

Fantastic card for Pallys! It is almost exactly what it needed along with the new 2/2 Diving shield. Even if Bolvar turns out to be bad I think I will overall be very happy with Paladins come GvG

Okay, that's fair. The situation does exist, it's just very rare. For instance, mage, rogue and druid aren't going to let you have 4 1/1 dudes on the field. Warlock would draw 8 cards by the time you were able to do that and would find gas. In the mirror you're DEFINITELY either racing or trading recruits already. This situation is most common against warrior, hunter and priest, but even in that situation you have to assume that one of the two players has drawn SOMETHING in 4 turns. I'm not saying that situation doesn't exist, but it's super super rare. Anyway, I don't think it will but I hope it turns out to be awesome and you can shove it in all our stupid faces. :)

Sure sure. You're very right. I am not saying this card is fantastic against everything. I just want to highlight that it was potential if the meta works out in its favor. 

And I won't shove it in any faces :P. I will just play it and be happy its viable because it is a fun concept and a card representing a great character.

I love this card already. So much. I want to make a straight up non-Handlock Demon Control lock once GvG comes and this could be useful. It would probably be better in a midrange-y deck though. Either way, I like it.

This looks really cool for a Demon-based control deck. 2-4 damage for 4 mana isn't great but the Imps may help balance that out.

I think you're confused about what topdeck mode is in Hearthstone. While in Magic, many games can come down to a locked board state where everyone has a ton of stuff in play that almost never happens in Hearthstone. Topdeck doesn't just mean your hand is empty, it means you need something to break a stall. In Hearthstone, the most common occurrence is that both players have an empty board (or mostly useless stuff like totems), one or no cards in their hand and are looking for a big creature to throw on the board to turn the tides. This is why everyone is saying this card sucks. You even went as far as to say that in your "topdeck" situation you have 4 dudes on board you can sacrafice to give your 1/7 +4 attack, but that is so incredibly situational and rare. If you have 4 dudes on the board and no cards in hand, you either overextended or are racing, and in neither of those situations does this card help. Fact. 

Okay. I was under the perception of this simply mean your hand is empty so I see your point. I still do not totally agree with your last statement because of the Paladin Hero Power having some utility with this card although, once again, I see your point. Regardless I think only time will tell with this card. It is hard to judge because there are so very many variables that come along with it. Especially with the meta getting shaken up soon and the fact that we don't even know all of the new cards yet.

Even for those of us who like the card I think we can all agree that this will not be automatically a Paladin staple. I simply think it has more potential than people are giving it credit for. It very well could end up another Illidan.
