posted a message on For the Horror fans out there

I am just wondering what everyone's favorite horror game is right now. I am personally playing a lot of Friday the 13th since the release, but I am also having fun with the new Dead By Daylight DLC and Prey. Unfortunately, the FT13th servers have been super buggy for me the last couple of days,

So what is your favorite horror game that is out right now? I'm just curious.

posted a message on Just an observation about some Pirate Warriors

I haven't been playing Hearthstone long, but I saw something today playing against Pirate Warriors that was a little amusing, but mostly kind of troubling. I know Pirate Warriors have been top tier for a while, even after being nerfed. That's good, it's a powerful deck that works. But, I played 7 games today against Pirate Warriors, I won 5 of those and 3 rage quit by the third round! What the hell? Y'all have been beating up on decks for a long time, take your asswhippings like we had to do. lol

1st rage quit: He went first, N'Zoth's First Mate for Patches the Pirate and the Rusty Hook. I coined into Golakka Crawler and ate his N'Zoth's First Mate. Instant rage quite before I could even hit the end turn button. Salty!

2nd rage quit: I went first, Timber Wolf. He countered with Southsea Deckhand and, of course, Patches the Pirate, who killed my Timber Wolf . 2nd round, I ate his Southsea Deckhand with the Golakka Crawler. He put up a Fiery War Axe and Upgrade!. 3rd round, I cast Gluttonous Ooze and ate his little axe. Instant rage quit, with a friend request after. I accepted, he said "Fuck you", and then left. Hahaha!

3rd rage quit: Neither of us drew very well on this one. I passed the first round, he cast the Fiery War Axe and hit face. 2nd round I threw out Acidic Swamp Ooze and ate his axe. He pulled a Bloodsail Raider, no Patches the Pirate this time, so he either didn't have him, or had already drawn him. 3rd round, I top-decked a Golakka Crawler and munched on his Bloodsail Raider. Another instant rage quit. I think this one would have been a fun match.

Like I said, I lost to 2 of the decks. And the other 2 that I beat played until the end. And they were pretty damn good matches. I'm just wondering, if you have such faith in a deck, why would you let the first couple of rounds make you quit? Spoiled little brats? People that just netdeck and can't adapt when things don't go their way? Or, are there people out there who have been winning so long with this deck, they just can't handle any type of counter to it?

I have nothing against people who play Pirate Warrior, and I'm sure the majority of players that do, do not act like this. I just teched this deck against them, because I was tired of losing to them over and over. Especially in Casual, where I was just trying to test out the new Un'Goro cards. Anyway, enough of my rambling. Below is a deck list for this. I've posted it before, but it has gone through minor tweaks.

    Quote from Maukiepaukie >>

The only deck we can say for certain needs another nerf (2nd one) is pirate warrior. That autistic deck has stood through the test of time and is still dominant.

Just like Quest Rogue, Pirate Warrior has weaknesses as well. Just because a deck has a high win ratio does not mean it needs to be nerfed. It means people need to find a way to counter it. On launch day, I built a deck to specifically beat Pirate Warrior because I was tired of running into them while testing out new cards in casual play. The deck works pretty well overall, and it absolutely crushes pirate warrior if I draw the right cards. That is the risk we all take with any deck. If you draw shit, you're gonna lose. If you're deck isn't set up to counter your opponent, you're gonna lose. That's how it works.
There is an answer to every deck type. People just need to find a way to do it. That is kind of the whole point behind CCG's. The same thing happened in M:TG, everyone was crying about powerful decks. It's a shame that so many people are calling for a nerf after only a few days. Pirate Warrior can be beaten, Quest Rogue can be beaten, Jade Golem can be beaten...people need to stop looking to Blizzard to fix their problems, and just tech some decks out to crush the meta-decks everyone is playing.

I agree with The_Bird. The expansion has been out for 4 days. There are ways to beat the Quest Rogue deck without resorting to Pirate Warrior or Jade Golem decks. Give it time, because the win ratio, especially at higher ranks, is steadily falling. I understand about getting salty over a certain deck beating you time and time again. But, what most people need to do is tech a deck against it.

I have zero investment in Quest Rogue, or any of the quests for that matter, because, I didn't get any of the cards. I do F2P, and just have fun with the game. Sorry so many people are losing to this deck, but the only thing I can say is figure out a way to beat it.

@matinsa Yeah, it loses to Quest Rogue pretty often, as well as Jade Druid. Like I said, I teched it specifically for Pirate Warrior. I made it solely because I was tired of running into Pirate Warriors on casual while trying out the new Un'Goro cards. So it is basically a rage deck, lol.

I did run into 2 different players that were trying a Rogue Quest/Pirate Rogue hybrid. Sounds like it could be a powerful deck, but, both of these decks seemed like they were trying to do too much and I beat them both rather easily. But with a little tweaking, I think it's a good idea. And, I applaud them for trying something new and not just netdecking and playing what everyone else was.

Anyway, thanks for the reply man. I think I am going to go try to tweak out my Tempo Mage with the new cards, and see how that works.

I was playtesting a new Warlock build earlier tonight in casual, and this draw popped up. I had to nope it. lol Still working on the deck. It's not meta, and I don't see it becoming any kind of Tier deck. It's just fun to play. Once I get it tweaked, I'll post the deck list.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

posted a message on Is it worth to craft the new rogue deck ?

I'm pretty sure the Rogue Quest is going to get nerfed, at least to a degree. It is beatable. But the sad part about that is, it will be the Jade Golem, Pirate Warrior, and other super-aggro decks that beat it, and I don't find those decks fun to play at all. I personally think the quest is entirely too easy, especially with all of the "Return a minion" cards at the Rogue's disposal. But, Blizzard doesn't pay me to design cards. lol

Ok, I took your "advice?" lmao. I was hoping for more constructive criticism, but, I understand. I got rid of the Core Hound and added Call of the Wild. It still works pretty well, but this deck obviously can't deal with Quest Rogues or Jade Golems. I've done fairly well against Taunt Warrior and Time Warp mage, as long as I can establish board early. And, I'm still having fun pissing off Pirate Warriors.

Any more suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Like I said in the original post, I've only been playing a couple of months, and it is a F2P account.

OK, thanks for the reply. I wasn't sure of the age ranges here. It's all good, I'm a big Michael fan anyway.

posted a message on Having fun hunting down those pesky Pirates

Well, I was trying to play around on Casual with some new deck builds and I kept running into the same old Pirate Warrior decks! After a couple of hours of getting saltier and saltier, I finally decided to do something about it. Before everyone sees the deck and tells me how crappy it is, I know. I built it pretty quickly, tweaked it on Casual for an hour or so, and then ran it on ranked. Lo and behold, it did pretty well (for ranks 23-18).

I've only been playing Hearthstone for a couple of months, and I only do F2P. So, I don't have the extensive epics and legendaries that a lot of players have. But, this deck has held it's own. Jade Golems and completed Rogue Legendary Quest decks absolutely crush this. And, I went against a C'Thun/Warrior Quest deck that was pretty impressive, and he annihilated me fairly quickly.

But, I'm just having fun with the new cards. And, it's good to be playing a Hunter again as that was my first choice in February when I started playing. I just couldn't seem to win any games because of all the meta decks out there. Feel free to offer any suggestions on the build, but keep in mind that other that the $4.95 welcome bundle, I haven't spent a dime on these cards.

I also made a copy of this deck in the deck builder and shared it. But, I am new to the site and I'm not sure if it was posted properly. I am attaching a screenshot of the build.

posted a message on Avatar question.

First off, I want to say I am new here, and this seems like a great place. I don't want to offend anyone, and that leads me to this question. What is considered an offensive avatar under the guidelines? My normal avatar, on YouTube, Facebook, etc... is a drawing of Mario holding up his middle finger. I think it's funny, but I do not want to get banned on my first day here. So, would that avatar be acceptable? Or should I just keep the Michael Myers one to be safe?

    Thanks for any feedback.

    Rex
