     The mods leave cards there with a warning because they give you a chance to modify them to fit the rules. At least they do in some cases.
     Right.
    And this guy didn't change it but acts like a pariah and calls out the mods. But w/e.

    He's meant as a basic card (fIlling the missing 3/4 spot there)
    As for whether he'll make finals... I cannot comment on that, except that I have strong faith in the democratic voting process of this competition :)
     Well, it doesn't really tick all the boxes for the competition: "Your card must, under some condition, explicitly lose you the game."
    This card itself can't lose you the game (which is what the contest rules require), it just states a pre-existing rule that loses you the game.

    I would have really preferred this as, "Secret: When an opposing Hero Power is used, deal 5 damage randomly split among all enemies." for control Hunter. Also, "randomly split" fits the image more than a chunk of damage at just one target.

    This is a very powerful card that can probably draw a few cards before it is killed. But if your opponent decides to leave it on the battlefield, it may force you to make missplays to dump cards in a hand or if they can overdraw you, the game ends quickly.

    Mysterious Challenger Tech Card:

    While Discover generally only works with neutral minions and class cards, this effect specifically targets 3 random enemy Secrets in play. This is a specialized use of Discover, just like Sir Finley Mrrgglton and his basic Hero Powers. This tech card is really only viable in a Secret-heavy meta thus the slightly more favorable stat distribution compared to Kezan Mystic and Big Game Hunter.
