It's great value so long as you can budget yourself accordingly. And it makes it a LOT easier to do so when you have a day job. =)
I mean, I can see were some players would balk at a 80.00 price tag, just realize what you DO get with it when you buy it. Not only do you in fact get 100 packs this time, which is a hugely amount in favor of the player this time, (I'm not sure of exact maths but its more than the "fair 1:1 gold-pack ratio) BUT in addition you're guaranteed the random Golden Legendary minion PLUS mother effing Deathwing as a hero skin for Warrior! It's sick value that's truly in favor of the player base this time around.
Even the mini bundle is great value. For 50 bucks, you get 60 packs (which again, is more than the 1:1 pack-gold ratio in favor of the player), PLUS yet another free random golden legendary, PLUS a cardback.
So when it comes to set launch for me not only am I guaranteed 160 packs on the spot, but plus im also guaranteed to have 2 golden legendaries on opening day. Sounds pretty good to me.
I love Blizzard gaming and Hearthstone's latest expansion is my favorite thus far because of Dragons! Finally!
Hi, I have a question to all. I wanted to buy the descent of dragons (DOD) expansion pack. I have been using Amazon app from my mobile phone to make past purchases. But ever since DOD came out, my cards have been buggy (missing cards when I have the full 30 cards before DOD is added to Hearthstone etc) And now I realise I CANNOT buy any expansion packs with the Amazon app.. It just kept stalling (and having no reaction for a good 15 mins or more) - it just basically says waiting for authentication or something. I read that DOD has a lot of bugs and there will be an update maybe next week. But I want to make sure there is enough time before the expansion pack time limit is over. If next week the DOD update is just as buggy and Blizzard takes a long time to clarify, I will not have enough time to buy the expansion packs before DOD becomes officially live. Anyone can provide some advice? Or is there any Blizzard staff there that can help me??
(Basically I cannot buy expansion packs with Amazon app on mobile phone now but before DOD update, I can.
Many people have feedback that buying Amazon coins is the most efficient way to buy card packs as you get up to 25% discount when buying in bulk.
But I have already had my hearthstone account installed both on my PC and laptop. (not through Amazon)
This is the difficulties I faced today when I tried to buy Amazon coins.
Whom else can buy hearthstone card pack offers through amazon?
It seems some can buy and some cannot.
Back to my golden card hunt. Actually I have been toying with the idea of buying amazon coins as suggested by some other players on the internet if you want to have the best value of cards to real money spent ration. (I think can save as much as 20-25% compared to the regular offers in the PC/HP apps.
But all along, I have only the PC Hearthstone app and Handphone Hearthstone app installed. If we uninstalled these 2 apps and reinstall a Amazon Hearthstone app (firstly seems like a lot of hassle though the savings are pretty significant, secondly I am not 100% sure or confident that whatever cards I have now will be ported over from the PC/HP apps to the Amazon app. Anyone has done this before? (as in initially play on PC/HP app, then install the Amazon version of Hearthstone "AND" bought some amazon coins to buy cards or dust)
My main aim is just to buy amazon coins to spend on hearthstone card packs. My main issue for Amazon is I keep getting stuck at the printscreen below after I try to download the hearthstone game app from Amazon on my pc. Why does it says "Visit https://www.amazon.com/androidapp on your device"
And when I tried downloading the hearthstone game app from my android handphone, it says "software currently unavailable".
On a separate note, I have even tried installing Nox, a 3rd party android emulator but also cannot find hearthstone game in Nox.
(I have a secondary concern, my hearthstone account is already installed on my PC and HP) I am not sure if the problem I have experiecing now (software download currently unavailable) is due to the fact I had this game already installed or what. If I reinstall, will this cause all the cards I have now to be resetted to a new player status (with no cards purchases)? Logically, it should not, but I just wish to hear some detailed advice. My region is set in Americas but I am based in Asia. Any difference when purchasing amazon coins? Anyone has bought any card packs with their region settings based in America but physically based in another region? Thanks.

Thanks for all the replies, especially nightcrawler, whom gave a pretty detailed explanation and helped me to understand how I can achieve my aim better. (i.e. to craft those golden legendaries I like)
For nightcrawler, I just have the following points to confirm before I start accelerating the card purchases. Based on what you mentioned in your post, the dust to USD ratio is assuming I dust EVERY single card I received from any adventures I bought right? And that I can only buy all these adventures just ONCE per player right?) And that the most efficient way to get the specific golden cards I wanted is to use money to purchase is buy the adventures and not the typical expansion packs (60pack/70 USD) offers right?
Yes, the numbers I posted above are assuming you dust each and every card you earn from buying adventures. Adventures can only be purchased once. If you are okay with dusting those cards, the order to buy is LOE, Karazhan, Naxx, BRM, then regular expansion packs (best dust/USD value to least)
How about if I just keep on buying the typical expansion packs until such time that I have enough duplicates that the more packs I buy, the more dust I can get from each pack (because I will already have the copies and can dust the cards from opening the newer packs). I hope u know what I mean. (e.g. I have a lot of cards from the classic packs so if I choose to buy classic packs, there is a greater chance to get more dust because I had the extra copies compared to if I choose to buy cards from other series)
Cards do not need to be duplicates in order to dust them. On PC, you can go to your collection, right click on any card and disenchant it for the same amount of dust you'd get for using "disenchant extra cards" button. A lot of people dust weak/boring cards in order to craft what they like. It's not good in the long term, but that's one popular style of collection management they use
For the above reason, if you want to buy expansion packs, you should buy ones that you have the least of. This way, you have a greater chance of opening new and useful cards, while you still have the choice of dusting anything you don't like. You can even try buying some MSG packs in case you get lucky and open golden Kazakus or Raza normally
One last thing ... I like fancy meme cards as much as the next guy (Golden Archbishop Benedictus is still in my collection from a craft in the Razakus days) but in my opinion, "boring" cards are necessary in order to facilitate (drawing, surviving, keeping up on tempo, etc) the playing of fun cards and interactions more consistently. Even some of the non-legendary cards from adventures can be useful
I like the function of Archbishop Benedictus too, especially when they come in a golden version. I like him because I like to think of his card function as "almost having twice the resistance to fatigue damage". And in a priest deck, typically the decks are played in a control style so...the longer the better.

Thanks to Nightcrawler once again for his detailed and also fervent interest in Hearthstone. Anyone else who knows the reply to what I asked above, please kindly explain (especially if you have tried it before). Thanks a lot.
Well, he is a man; he loves big tits; he is grouchy; he isn't getting some because he spent all his limited money on hearthstone. So he has to express his unhappiness. Forgive him.

Also, the recent limited time offer Toki's bundle was the offer that got me more interested in card purchases again. Before that, I just bought the cards very lackadasically.
I appreciate Fortydust's advice too, (i.e not to recraft those legendaries for dust; it appears to be a very inefficient way to dust and recraft in the future and nobody knows when we need them)
But my personal preference is firstly to try our interactions between cards, and secondly to collect those golden legendaries I like) It has to be a combination of both points. So I may dust a few cards if I am running short of dust and I just wanted a specific golden legendary card at a certain point in time) My current thinking is just to "endure" and not dust those legendaries I do not like for dust, in case I may need them in the future) This will slow down my rate to collect the golden legendaries but I will try to pace myself for this collection. I do not want to overspend so much like in my previous games.
For those whom are not into aesthetics, they will not be bothered about my point about the golden legendary cards (some cards just look more impressive in golden, that is just my personal opinion) while I will not bother with some other legendaries in golden. (e.g. Sir Finley ^^)
Really like Grom Hellscream, Amara, Reno, Raza the unchained, Kazakus in golden. Anyway, that is just my personal opinion and thanks everyone for your advice.
I have another question for those whom knows. I already have a Emperor Thaurissan (normal version) and if I decide to buy the adventure "Blackrock Mountain", according to the info stated in Hearthstone, there will be a Emperor Thaurissan which will be given to me. How will this duplicate card be resolved?
1. Additional normal Emperor Thaurissan legendary card will not be given.
2. Additional normal Emperor Thaurissan legendary card will be given but the A.I will know we have a duplicate already and refund us the dust value. If so, how much is the dust value.
I have been playing hearthstone for more than a year. Once in a long while, I will buy one or two offers from Blizzard. But never spending much money.
I played wild format, and mainly for the interactions and synergies between cards.
Recently, I got very interested in collecting golden cards, especially golden legendaries.
I wanted to ask the more experienced players which is more viable. Buying adventures to improve the chance of getting more dust or simply buying the best offer Blizzard has for their direct card pack purchases. (which is 60 USD for 70 packs)
I read that buying adventures generally give u much more value for dust instead of buying the direct card packs.
My dilemna or what I think is my dilemna is, is that if I buy an adventure for e.g. League of Explorers for 20 USD, but I already have a golden Brann Bronzebeard (I do not have most of the rest of the cards), will having the golden Brann Bronzebeard reduce the amount of value (dust) that I will eventually get from completing the adventure compared to IF ............ I do not have the golden Brann Bronzebeard in the first place.
I wanted to craft golden cards like Raza the unchained, Shadow Anduin, Reno Jackson, Baron Rivendare (deathrattle trigger twice) and some other golden legendaries etc
Originally, I am contemplating just simply buying 2 of the biggest value packs (60 USD x 2 = 140 card packs) from Blizzard to speed up the process of achieving my aim of collecting those specific golden legendaries that I wanted. But I realised there could be more value for money ways to do it.
Please advise if Venomizer card is still around in the deck. I tried to look for it under 2 mana, boomsday project to craft but I cannot find it. Thanks.
Normally, I do not buy the typical offers by Hearthstone. But because I mainly played in wild, and the value is more than the typical offers, 1 pack = 35 USD/56 packs = 0.625 USD. I bought this offer without much thinking. Some might say these are for wild but I mainly play the game for fun and to try out new interactions between cards so I felt this is a good offer. (and didn't contemplate much when I buy the packs)
The value is good enough that I am wondering if I can buy a second time and gift it to myself. Does anyone knows how this works?
And to clarify, we can only buy one such offer per one account right?
