Blizzard is going to spread the priest tool kit too thin so they will end up with 4 tier 3-4 decks (C'thun, Deathrattle, Control and Dragon) but no tier 1 or 2 decks. Other classes will either do it better or the monster holes left in decks from standard format won't be filled adequately.
Somebody at StrifeCro's stream asked if he thought they were going make any major changes and he laughed and said he was under NDA and couldn't really comment.
Man Im getting all hyped up again, I wonder what are they going to do. Looks too soon for an expansion/adventure. Maybe a "small" update like UI/deck slots?
At 1:36:00 he mentions strifeco when they are talking about new content releases and he says its a tournament thing. So its either 1) Tournament mode or 2) A tournament someone is holding.
Guess I will just have to be less impatient and wait till tomorrow to find out.
During Value town with Chanman and Noxious, Reynad kept alluding to an announcement coming tomorrow. Does anyone know what the topic of the announcement will be?
I personally hope its a full blown expansion dedicated to back filling the themes/deck types that didn't work out (Inspire, Pirates, Beast Druid, Control Hunter, ETC)
Blizzard has increased the duration of pre expansion "hype" building with every expansion. We saw almost 2 months of teasers, card reveals, and exhibition games for the release tgt. 2 months of hype building for a Product with a 4 month release cycle feels excessive. At this rate you might as well start adding teasers for the next expansion into a new expansions release notes. Are there any plans to reduce or condense the amount of pre release marketing for new expansions? For instance, spoil cards more cards a week for fewer weeks.
lol not original its the same deck kolento has been using since tgt came out apart from inner fires have replaced velens chosen , other than that no difference , why pple post decks n say they created them is beyond me , the main staples of most decks are built by the realy good players thats why they are where they are !!
That's probably just a by product of it being a dragon deck. It's a standard dragon priest deck with 2 Velen's chosen swapped for inner fires and 1 light bomb and 1 big dragon switched for 2x divine spirit. I wouldn't be too hard on the guy when he said he made the deck just because blizzard made a super obvious dragon deck core.
In all honesty, hand lock is a terrible match up for this deck. The best way to beat them is to try to curve out well in the early game and keep pressure on them. Only play around moltens to the extent that you will prevent a molten + shadow flame play. The match up is so bad though that you have to take risks in order to win and wombo plays like molten shadow flame will beat you regardless of what you do. Some games you will just win because you draw all the right answers but over the long run the match up favors the hand lock
I am developing a love hate relationship with Confessor Paletress. She has the potential to just win you the game some times and if you are far ahead and your opponent can't kill her or you, you just win the game. But some times she just causes you to lose. Its beyond frustrating when you are even on board or even ahead and she dumps something like Acid Maw, Baron Geddon, Dread Scale or lore walker cho on the board and you fall really far behind instantly.
As far as replacements go, I would use Ysera, if you don't have Ysera go with Dr Boom. Rag, Geddon or Justicar would also be fine for replacements depending on what meta you are seeing.
The garrison commanders are Fine in my opinion. They are basically side grades to the Giblin Stalkers they replaced in traditional Lightbomb Priest. If you are playing them for some kind of wombo combo value then you are doing it wrong. They are just early game 2 drops and later game can enable some pretty cool combos. If they come together (Commander + Holy Champion, Deathlord, paletress or Northshire) then cool, but the focus of the deck is not trying to get those combos together.
The exact answer to this question is very match up specific. As a general rule of thumb you want to keep any 1 drop, 2 drop, shadow word pain and death lord. Vs warrior you will also want to keep power word shield. Vs priest you'll want to keep Velen's chosen. You can also keep pws if you already have a 1 drop (regardless of match up). I would also recommend keeping Velen's if you are going second and have a 1 drop already. You can keep Velen's if you are going first and have a 1 drop and a turn 2 play.
You you could do that but I don't feel it would be much of an upgrade. You typically want to use your spells when you need them and not save them for dark bane. In some cases you would get more value from dark bane and in others it would just be worse. I would have to play test the card to see if it's better with enough frequency to be worth playing, but my initial reaction is probably not.

Why has there been such a long delay between the release of the first three hero skins and the next set of skins?
