I wouldnt say if this is playable or not, but i would just say Evolve is an annoying mechanic to deal with. Also can you make up your mind Blizzard? last set you made "freeze shaman" for some reason and now for this Set you gave us 3 totem Cards and now you gave us this Random Card. If youre gonna make a sense, have it so you can make it clear for everyone what class archetypes are going towards.

Maybe they just want to make us think and create our own "archetypes".
Back in the good old days, there was no "archetype" but deck builders everywhere. Netdecking has deeply hurt this game.
Now people complain when they have no pre-made deck with a particular card they want to try to copy from...

Except you have to play the quest at turn 1 and not the Swashburglar and then wait until turn 5 to play the reward card. So, concede and enjoy your 400 dust.

This dude reminds me of Warhammer Lizardmen. I think it was the only race Blizzard had not rippoffed yet (at least in Hearthstone, I suppose it appeared in WoW before)

Lizardmen is almost as common in fantasy environments as orcs, elves, ogres or dragons... Would you say warhammer is a rip off from Dungeons & Dragons or The Lord of the Rings? Warcraft is only yet another fantasy world with its own lore, not a rip-off of any other. And obviously, some of the writers may have got inspiration from existing fantasy worlds, including warhammer.

In my opinion, it is basically a win-more card: If you have board control and your opponent doesn't AoE next turn, most of the times you do not need this card. If you have played evolve, you also do not need this card except for very occasional situation (i.e. playing vs a paladin who will eq+consacrate next turn) If you do not have board control, you will most of the times play this card with little value for its cost (3 mana) - e.g. deathrattling a totem and a Thing from Below

Did anyone realize the current lack of decent 3-mana priest drops at the moment? -before GoG- The good thing is, priest can keep this guy alive long enough for some favourable trades just using hero power.

BTW, I cannot wait to include it in my self-silencing priest deck, which only lacked some good 3-drops to keep the curve. (turn 2-> The Coin+Fel Orc Soulfiend+Silence, or turn 3 silence+heal+Power Word: Shield, turn 4 heal + purify, turn 4 Purify+Divine Spirit, turn 4 purify + divine spirit, etc.)

    Quote from hebbe84 >>

Well the vast majority of, including the best, freeze mage players disagree with you, which is why you never see Antonidas in freeze mage anymore. I can't think of a single deck except different versions of warrior where the Antonidas version is stronger. What other decks are you suggesting it's stronger against?

I don't think you understand what "bombastic statements" mean, because the only one that made bombastic statements is RavenSunHP. What I did was refute ridiculous claims.

     "Bombastic statements":
Number 1: 'Everything in this statement is just straight up wrong.'
Number 2: 'You are obviously clueless about freeze mage'
Number 3: 'why exactly do you feel the need to spread misinformation?'
Number 4: 'If you had a single clue what you were talking about'
You have some point in your affirmations, but that doesn't entitle you to answer in such an aggressive and respec-less way.
Now back to the main topic:
As Hebbe said, Antonidas may be better vs warrior, particularly control warrior, as if played in a good way it gives you an additional pool of direct-damage spells (Fireball which are unvaluable to break through the huge amount of armor. Yet, it is more predictible (they know how many additional cards you got, and which cards are these). Basically, he gives you extra steam.
On the other hand, Malygos is less predictible (you usually drop him the turn you wanna one-shot your enemy, after the mana-reduced cards from Emperor Thaurissan). Basically, he allows to one-shot your opponent more easily.
    Now to my experiences:
I am myself trying a midrange - not freeze - mage deck, which includes Rhonin, Emperor Thaurissan and Archmage Antonidas.
I tried this deck with Malygos instead of Antonidas but I did not like the result so much, because:
    1. Malygos not always allowed me to one-shot my opponents after getting the arcane missiles from Rhonin.
    2. Again, vs Control Warriors it usually did not give me any advantages.
    3. I definitely needed emperor Thaurissan to make it work.

On the other hand, after testing with Antonidas I realized:

    1. It gave me steam when necessary for long matches, particularly vs. priests and control warriors.
    2. I could easily one-shot my opponent even without Thaurissan, thanks to the combo Sorcerer's Apprentice + Flamewaker + Arcane Missiles + any other spells. Both sorcerer's apprentice and flamewaker are optional and using only one of them is still nice, but when you have both in hand it's an overkill - Emperor only makes this better, but if you don't have him in hand you can always use him to reduce the cost of your fireballs.

So, my humble opinion is that Malygos is more convenient to finish-off your foe, but you need a better combo to make it work, while Antonidas is better for matches in the long run. Contrary to what you mentioned, I think the comment "arguably he doesn't make any new deck possible" applies to both of them.

For better or worse, this guy can only put cards into your deck following the usual deckbuilding rules. This means more synergy with Reno decks and less potential in classes that have bad legendaries.

But take into account that it can add a duplicate card to your deck, making Reno less effective. The odds are low, though, but it can happen.

Hi Donny. Yes, it was. I included N'Zoth, the Corruptor instead. I tried with both for some time, but the deck became too slow vs. aggro. Maybe you can give it a try instead of Mana Tide Totem or Ancestral Knowledge, but card draw is so important in this deck that I wouldn't risk.

There are many options, Bolvar Fordragon, Cult Master, Cataclysm drake and of course Defender of Argus. You may try many variants (I am actually quite surprised no one thought about a deck  like this before)  but so far this is the current version and it works well. I had not yet played in wild mode this season and got a win streak from 17 to 12:

As meta goes on, I realized I needed an alternative source of heal. A Healing Wave and Reno Jackson are  usually enough, but I could not rely on my Jewelled Scarab giving me yet another healing wave, even more I wanted more him to draw a second Elemental Destruction or Lightning Storm.

So I included Hallazeal the Ascended. And this is the result:
