Ive reached "Dad legend" aka rank 5 and it always feels great. Though 5-legend grind is burtal. Maybe one day. As a husband and father I have a lot on my plate thats more important.

This, exactly this. I have made it to rank 2 back before the change to ladder from rank 18 ish. But i just can't find enough time in a season to make the full push.

Yes and it's very strong.  No thrall deck should [be] play[ed] without murmering elemental.

     Fixed :-p

     LMFAO. Day complete. Thanks!

posted a message on [STANDARD] Headed for Legend! - S52 July 2018

Running my Shudder Shaman as I had really good results end of last season.

Going to try a wild Oil Mill Kingsbane rogue for fun.

Even Lock if I see a lot of aggro or tempo on my climb.

Also have a Big Elemental Mage if Shudder isn't doing so well.

sitting at rank 7 1 star so pretty optimistic about this season, just ran out of time with RL last season to finish the push.

realy like it. As mentioned two avenging wrath seem not good. I would replace one. Not shure about bloodmage too. I personally realy like hydrologist and i will synergize with pyromancer too. Speed and token clear :

-2 avenging wrath (arguable to leave one as nasty surprise)

    - bloodmage thanatos.  (I like him too but he is a bit weak if you want tempo)

    - lich king (it´s arguable, hes always good but 8 mana)

    + hydrologist

    + 2x wild pyromancer

    good options:

    + nat pagle

    + Defender of argus

    + fairy dragon

Wtf why would you run nat pagle? And lich king is a staple in any even deck, don't even think about it... Btw really cool looking deck, wild pyros are better tho

What am i missing here? Why would you run pyro except for the 4 mana board wipe? There aren't any other low cost spells that could help you control Odd Pally and a single turn board wipe doesn't mean much against them.

posted a message on I think we have a winner: Do you Even Windfury? I Sea Giant potential.

CUT THE ALCHEMIST, YOU ARE BETTER OFF WITH THE ELEMENTAL BUFF (FORGET THE NAME FOR 2 MANA) SINCE YOU CAN USE IT ON A TURN 1 TOTEM. THE ALCHEMIST REALLY ONLY WORKS WITH LIKE 3 OR 4 MINIONS IN YOUR DECK. THE OVERLOAD PACKAGE CAN WORK SINCE YOU COULD FILL IN THE GAPS WITH TOTEMS BUT I THINK YOU ARE BETTER OFF WITH THE SEA GIANTS INSTEAD. OTHER THAN THAT IT IS A PRETTY STANDARD EVEN SHAMAN WITH A COUPLE OF DIFFERENT CARDS BUT I DON'T THINK THEY ADD ANYTHING TO THE POWER LEVEL OF THE DECK OVER THE META VERSION.

UMM you might want to reconsider using Geist in a spell hunter deck.

posted a message on Shudderwock - broken joke!

Don't whine over a deck that has a horrible win rate and requires playing so many combo pieces before he can play Shudderwock that as an even shaman you should have already killed him. Just go on to the next match and get over it, you are sharing nothing Earth shattering with this post.

posted a message on Why are fast decks always the best?
    Quote from DiamondDM13 >>

Exclusing the obvious reasoning associated with the amount of proper technical play required to play those decks and have them be effective (Midrange decks require the least, followed by Aggro, and then Control with Combo at the end as the most intensive ones), there are two aspects you have to keep in mind:

1 - This is Casual game, designed to be casual, designed so players can hop in while taking a dump, do a 5/10 minute session, and leave. There is a massive mobile audience in this game, and unfortunately the game needs to account for that. If people were to be forced into 30 minute games every time, that wouldn't work well for mobile players. Also, remember that the Ranked system is just a boring, tedious process which doesn't actually emphasize quality play, it emphasizes quantity play. All that matters for Ranked mode is that you can play as many games as fast as you can, since that makes the process of climbing much faster. Since there is literally no difference between a 2 minute Pirate Warrior win that you get for your opponent not drawing a card under 4 mana, and a 50 minute extremely intensive control mirror that goes to fatigue and requires a lot of resource management, why would players bother doing the 50 minute one?

Because it's more fun, yes, personally for me yes, which is why I do it, but most players don't intend on doing that, they just want to win win win.

2 - This brings us to the second point, instant gratification. The more casual your player base is, the more you need to appeal to the lowest common demoninator. Reality is, most people DO NOT like to be told they are not good and they need to improve. Most players who play don't give a crap about improving, they just want to win because that is where they get instant gratification, no matter what it takes to get it.

If everyone wanted to become better and perfect their technical play, they would all be using the most complicated decks available just to ensure their games were decided by how well they played, not by how well they draw a curve and the opponent cannot answer. And so Blizzard catters to this, they add as much randomness as possible, which ensures that ANY player in the world can still have a chance to win any game. You can be the worst player in the world, be matched up against, for example, one of the World Champions, and still win the game. That is completely illogical for me, the better player should win the game, and this is assuming we have a roughly neutral matchup and draw order, but reality is it is still possible for the better player to lose the game.

Either way, we know this is how the game works, we know Blizzard designes the game with this in mind, it is only our fault if we don't enjoy that and still play it. (I don't enjoy that aspect but since I don't care about competing anymore, I can enjoy the game for it's Casual appeal, many fun things you can do)

posted a message on How are you Priest players doing?
    Quote from Marega >>
    Quote from Spinx >>

Mind blast priest and thief priest are really fun, and quest priest is probably the funniest :-)

Only fun about thief priest is tilting ur opponent as he will often emotes wow and threaten. U gotta have low fairplay to run deck which its win condition is turning opponent deck against him. Unlike azalina toggwaggle combo which considering how hard it is to pull off i wouldnt consider it low fairplay

How is it not a fair play to use our opponents cards against them? Burgle and pickpocket rogues are a valid archetype and i see nothing wrong with a good 'ol fashioned Milkshake Priest. Next you're going to say that Death Grip isn't fair if I pull your wincon from it. At least with Milkshake or Pickpocket you still have your copy too.

posted a message on Should I dust these legendaries?

Or you should consider looking at strong classic legends, especially for a class that you like the most. Second bit of advise is maybe you don't go for legends but instead focus on crafting some key epics in a more budget friendly deck. Spend time laddering and expand your collection/dust with monthly rewards and gold.

posted a message on Really hearthstone :(

Just switch out a couple of cards and go more midrangy with the deck. I think it is still very viable. I climbed to rank 5 with my version of the deck and it was more midrange late game than aggro. I had CTA but that didn't win me nearly as many games as you would think. I played 120ish games climbing and had like 57-58% winrate.

posted a message on RUN THE LADDER CONTROL PRIEST

So now we put a single card from rotation in to a copied Standard deck and call it Wild? I guess since so many people took Cubelock and Controllock and added in Lord Godfrey and called it the new meta breaking WW Warlock deck then I guess this can be called wild. But as someone else already posted why not just remove the Greater Healing Potion and play it in standard?

posted a message on Advice for Ladder

I continued to push and stuck with my main deck, made sure to only push through a losing streak if i lost due to the opponent outplaying me (having all his answers) and when I lost due to some miraculous top deck shit I took a break. Just hit rank 5 this morning on a win streak so already 2 stars in ;) overall sitting on 59% winrate with about 120 games logged. On to Legend now hopefully, thanks for the input and feedback everyone.
