posted a message on Pack Simulator - Low Score

I know everyone is more interested in getting  the best pack of cards (in terms of points) but who can get the worst? I got a 75pt pack, and now I have a 65pt pack as my low. Let's see how low you can go!

posted a message on worst opening hand ?

An arena run where I drew all my copies of Fen Creeper. It was noteworthy so I took a screenie, but needless to say, I dumped that hand posthaste.

you are missing some key spells in this deck. Mages have some of the strongest removal out there. You have 2 spell breakers, so you dont really need the owls anymore, the argent squires and the leper gnomes can go (you have a ton of small drops and no high drops). For the neutral spells, you should run 2x frostbolt (2 mana removal is amazing), 2x polymorph (hard removal is very very important) and either 2x fireballs (6 damage for removal or to your opponent's face) or maybe flamestrikes

I'd gladly spend all my gold on Arena if it gives me more cards/dust for my Gold than buying packs straight up.

Without putting too much though into it, I would venture to say arena is more effective. My main reason: at 7+wins you get ALL the gold you spent back (and maybe some extra) so that in theory you could take the free arena run you get and never have to spend a dime to fill out your collection

Too bad I couldn't get the golden Mekkatorque card though :C

you should still be able to get him by spending real money all the way through open beta. Once HS launches, then the golden Mekkatorque is no longer obtainable

    A message appears.

We've already crushed the second milestone, but we're going to wait a bit before I announce when it's time to private message out for the next 100 so we can give others on a different schedule a pass at it.

After 40 mins of wating and spaming F5 we get this message.

Next ten to private message us will score a key!

I am dissapointed and i feel trolled by Blizz. So much waiting and so much refreshing their stupid page to just share 10 keys when they promised 100.

The rules say there will be 10 keys a day for the next 30 days. That was what the 10 keys were for. An earlier post said they would do  the 35k likes milestone later tonight (after 5pm PDT).

The daily batch winners have been contacted, you can be sure that as we get closer to when the bigger 100 batches are announced (at least one coming today) - I will make sure you all have at least 30 minutes notice. Congrats to our key winners so far! Good luck to all of you who are still looking to get ahold of one!

Also, when I said 'friend us' I just meant to 'like' the page.

    first post just went up

Alright, let's get this party started here - Firstly, we have 1,000 keys to giveaway, and we'll be distributing those over the course of the month from today through Oct. 4th. Each day, we're going to announce when a small batch is made available, and the first group of folks who request the batch (through private message!!) will be given a key.

Now, we also have bigger batches that are going to be distributed when we hit our 'like' milestones, and the sweet news is we've already blown past the first one at 30K, so today we're going to knock out a big chunk.

Now, we understand that not everyone is on the same schedule and many of you who want the keys maybe can't view the page right now, so we'll be breaking up these announcements throughout different times throughout the coming days. For now though, we're going to get this started with a bang...

...so the first 100 ppl to privately message us right now, who have 'liked' the page will receive a key.

Good luck adventurers! Remember, this is just the first batch - we'll do another one later in the day

posted a message on Question for player's that have a beta key.

As someone that does not yet have a key but watches streams daily and played other tcg (wow tcg included), I also had the same thought go through my mind. I will try to address the question with a more casual player in mind; not someone who grinds 12hrs a day and finishes everything in 2 weeks

First, the leveling system will keep people busy for a long time. There is just something addictive about leveling up heroes and unlocking new cards.

Second, with the daily quests, they are going to encourage people to try new classes and tinker with those decks. I can see this causing people to get new ideas, want to do new strategies and renewing the experience.

Third, the arena. This is the scenario I am most excited for. Even though there will be some gold costs involved, this should be the most exciting and refreshing way to play. The draft is, more or less, and even field of play and that encourages newer players (or those with less cards) to try to be competitive with other players. There is alot of excitement to see what cards you get to pick from and what kind of strategies to come up with on the fly. There is also this flavor of some cards being very good in arena that don't see play in constructed decks. As for the gold cost, even if you don't put in any real money, I have read that you can earn enough gold to buy 2-3 packs a week from just casual play/daily quests. In that sense, you could buy into an arena once or twice a week. It is akin to me as a real tcg where you play with friends casually during the week and every saturday enter a tournament at your local card shop (except this time you don't have to leave home).

Fourth, player supported events. We have already seen 2 tournaments pop up for the closed beta. As the community grows, we can expect to see more community hosted events and possibly blizzard hosted events. From constructed tournaments to draft tournaments to even pre-release tournaments for new expansions. I think that hearthstone has a very strong following and the community will shine here.

Finally, more cards/classes. There are already talks about adding in death knights and monks as future classes. Adding in more classes and more cards as the game starts to stagnate will keep things moving. With new cards, come new ideas and new strategies to play.

Sorry for the long post. TLDR: Hearthstone has a long life ahead of it
