user-24326665 posted a message on The Caverns BelowPosted in: The Caverns BelowThe Crystal Core that this quest gives you has no immediate effect on the board unlike the other quest rewards, so you are playing 5 mana to do nothing unless you already have minions, also it has anti-synergy with Edwin.
As of today, seems like the weakest quest card

emilsn91 posted a message on E. Malone's Expedition W3 - Shaman Legendary Quest & More!Posted in: NewsI am confused. They pushed for a jade shaman, then they release a lot of elementals for shaman and mage, but they end up doing a murloc shama for quest?
They are doing to much to shaman.. -

GetchX posted a message on New Shaman Quest - Unite the MurlocsPosted in: Card DiscussionTo play this quest you lose turn 1. You really can't miss on turn 1 with a murloc deck. It's a race to get your murlocs out and buffed before the opponent's can AoE/taunt which usually happens around turn 4. Also, by the time you finish the quest the game will likely be won or loss by then. It's not likely that a handful of random murlocs will beat a Control deck on turn 8.
It's a "fun" quest and all, but it's not going to work competitively. Which is fine, Shaman's have enough already. Unfortunately, this is the first legendary I will open in this expansion guaranteed now.

NightDrawn posted a message on S36 | Jade Rogue Comeback | R14 > R4 in 3 hours with GuidePosted in: S36 | Jade Rogue Comeback | R14 > R4 in 3 hours with GuideThis deck is extremely favored against Shaman, Druid, and Warlock, but I have been facing a ton of Pirate Warriors and they are pretty much impossible to beat with this deck. No weapon removal, health gain, or taunts make it essentially an autoconcede against Pirate Warrior.
As these stats show, this deck after 25 games has a 56% winrate simply because of its horrible matchup against Pirate Warrior. Those two wins against Warrior were literally one Pirate Warrior who had Patches in his opening hand and a Taunt Control Warrior. I may test out Defender of Argus in this deck, but otherwise I'll need to switch to something more favored against Pirate Warrior if I'm facing as many as I have been.

BouncingBlades posted a message on Mike Donais Explains the Quest Mechanic & Talks Journey to Un'Goro Card ExpectationsPosted in: News- They don't want to nerf things so fast that it punishes deck innovators but they'll keep an open mind about it.
so they punish the whole playerbase fand leave them suffering for months on end.

This deck doesn't even get wins in casual. Almost every constructed deck against decently matched players will lose to this. Nobody creates decks that can't handle just playing minions on curve. What usually happens is you either lose tempo to better mana effecient minions and spells, or you're shit gets rekted by aoe.

Outside of say rank 15, people know the other net decks wholly. Loatheb can sit in hand and wait.

I think it will be a staple in all control decks, enable new control decks previously not viable. It will allow control decks to put a LOT of anti-aggro cards in them, and still be able to beat other control decks by recycling their useless Acolyte of Pain/Shield/Lightning Storm/Shield Block into legendaries. It also is 2 cards to draw, 11/9 in stats, playable on turn 4 to get 3/5 of those stats, for the cost of 1 card slot in a deck. That's a lot of card-advantage.
It's not a "Timmy" card, where you try to win big with 20 legendaries that nobody can beat. That is how most people keep reading this card. It's a powerful pile of stats that recycles useless cards into more stats and possible haymakers like Malorne.

I'm wrong because of a single game you played where you were already winning well ahead of your opponent? Would you have made this same post had your opponent beaten you...?

I think this card will be important on ladder. Maybe not players who want to get to legend via the only way, netdecking. But, there will always players who play from ranks 20-3 that do not net deck, and do play various control decks. Currently, control warrior received too many goodies, such as Justicarr. The CW's, players who pay a lot mind you, want and needed better representation on ladder and in tournaments. Anyway, back to the point, CW is the dominant, alpha control deck. It's annoying to play against, and annoying to play as (not interactive, only competitive threats are mirror matches). This card will hopefully allow other non-CW decks to out-value CW.
Will this card be good? Yes absolutely, when it is played against another heavy control deck that you normally wouldn't be allowed to outlast (ie: even win against unless you took your control deck and hit them hard early on maybe, or just got lucky with tempo).

Ranks 10-5 are pretty much ranks 18-10 during the last 5-7 days of the season..

That's exactly the kind of dept cards in MTG have. But the brilliant MBA types at Hearthstone don't want the game to be too complicated, because that will ruin the market (casual players) they are chasing.

Having one of stuff isn't terrible. I just won a match with this deck. It sounds like face hunter is more your style, since you think this deck is too slow.
