Seems like a worst version of mid range hunter, which is already horrible in this meta. Highly doubt the egregious claims.

NP. He has been used before and is often referred to as "Hipster Priest" for being gimmicky in the past. I'm actually quite surprised to see a pro player like Zetalot play it now. He may be doing this to experiment with a Shrinkmeister replacement, since it will be gone in April. I always like seeing experimentation on the pro scene, and I hope this works out well because it seems like it has a lot more combos than shrinkmiester.

Probably to allow light bomb to take out hard-to reach targets. Maybe some situations arise with cabal being able to turn something with 2 HP left into a 2/* and then steal that (could be anything since all minions can take damage and be reduced to 1 or 2 HP). Finally it also allows Shadoword death to take out anything with over 5 HP, such as Ysera, a non-enraged Gromsh, etc.

I noticed it's better now. It used to be the case that if I left a tab open, my CPU would emit an insane amount of heat. Basically, if the fan got really loud, and my macbook pro was super hot to the touch, then I knew I left hearthpwn open in a tab.

However, this is not happening anymore. It's not as responsive as other websites, but hey... at least it's no so broken that I have to close a tab almost as soon as I open it. I'd say it's about as good as any other site, but could use improvements in javascript performance..

It seems really OP when combined with a "Pleasant Feast of Winterveil". For some reason it makes my opponent lose without even doing damage.

    Quote from Dreamer80 >>

Well i'm a priest player and let me say that this is actually a fun deck but as other says,it loses to a lot of deck out there. I appreciate what Blizzard is trying to do fpr the priest, but that things just not solve the problems of this class. Basically any COMBO deck will beat you, because you can do nothing to prevent damage that come directly from the hand of the opponent, and you need time to close a game,so they have all the time to gather their combo pieces and destroy you. And yes, like always, you lose to jaraxxus, because you cannot deal with the hero power and you don't have the burst to close the game.Yes,with this deck you can beat a warrior, because you can easily outvalue him,but the warrior still the king of control, because the armor mechanic negate all that one turn kill deck to work, counter the freeze mage, etc This deck is very good against zoo decks and other slower deck, but that's all. The winrate is not true.

This is the case for **any** control deck without overheal (basically anything other than control warrior). Varranis tried to take Control Shaman to Legend and just couldn't get past 2 issues:
    1. Mid-range variant of secret pally, it's impossible to hex if they play major threats on curve (Dr 6, to Dr 7 to Dr 8). I imagine this is even worst for Priest with a 6 mana entomb?
    2. Mid-range Druid has about a 80-90% winrate against control decks that do not have overheal. You simply cannot withstand them playing a minion each turn, while drawing, and their entire win condition is merely have a minion on the board and you're dead next turn due to how easy it is to double savage roar and do 30+ damage in a control matchup.

I suspect blizz intends for this, as they do not want fatigue control decks. Notice how CW has a pretty decent, but not OP, win-condition. As opposed to just making it to fatigue. In fact, back when Control Pally was considered to be the only viable deck, it's major complaint was that matches always went to fatigue and that it was boring. Basically Mid-range druid's Savage Roar win condition is Blizzard's way of preventing fatigue/value based control decks from appearing in tournaments and ladder and casual. They just don't want the game to be seen as boring basically. Makes sense. They just need to put better win conditions in Control Priest and Control Shaman like they did with Gromsh. Nothing OP or crazy, but something like a 10-12 damage in a single card. Or maybe 15 damage 2 card combo. Also something that can't be easily played in mid-range.

One intersting idea for a win condition for priest to speed up games:

Emperor Thaurissan with these cards in your hand:
    Prophet Velen, 2 Mind Blasts

Next turn = 24 damage with lesser heal, and 28 damage with heal. With just a single Mind Blast, it's 14 and 18 damage. Not bad actually.

Somewhat fair point about it lacking a win-condition, other than just out-value'ing someone down to fatigue. Control decks don't seem to last long without those, as mid-range/combo druid will draw into their 30+ OTK before fatigue.

Agreed on control decks needing 2 copies of mass removal.  This deck is more of a control variant of mid-range in that it runs 17 minions and 13 spells. Seems like a more proactive tempo deck than a purely reactive control deck. Not a complaint, just an observation. Also, pretty fitting since hearthstone and all its decks are tempo/minion based (since minions double as removal, since they can target anything).

It's also slow on my 2014 Macbook Pro 13". It might be that it runs slower on devices that aren't as powerful as dektop PC's, or that it only runs well on Windows OS.

I used NoScript to turn off all the tracking stuff, so that only the basic functionality is left (like searching decks and commenting). It's still just as slow, so the slow js appears to be from your CDN/side.

What is this deck's matchup against control warrior like? I am trying to make a similar deck that beats it and I found that if I can make it to fatigue, Elise is the win condition as she cycles the un-usable cards into legendaries. Basically it's like a counter to the Justicarr over-armor that CW has been beating other control decks with I find.

I did play one game against a CW and got the Golden Monkey out very early, maybe turn 7, and on an empty board so I was ahead of him tempo-wise. It was a bad idea that early in the game though, as even with great legendaries, I just couldn't out-tempo him. He played a lot of removals and his own stuff. He had Rafaam, then summoned 7 3/3 mummies and I just couldn't recover from that with high cost legendaries. So obviously Elise seems to a bad idea until fatigue.

Is this card considered trash tier in constructed or something? Or does nobody craft it so nobody knows that it is better than counter spell ?

This deck doesn't even get wins in casual. Almost every constructed deck against decently matched players will lose to this. Nobody creates decks that can't handle just playing minions on curve. What usually happens is you either lose tempo to better mana effecient minions and spells, or you're shit gets rekted by aoe.

I've been running a pretty similar deck to this. It has 2 Feral Spirit and 2 Earth Elemental in it to prevent charge minion OTKs. The earth elementals alone can be crushing.
