Is it though? 2 extra mana on spells once per turn and not even on the turn you play it seems less abusable than Radiant Elemental who enables OTK combos by himself right when you play or even resurrect him.
Fans kill each other over who loves him more, and he still gets both of them in the end. I’m not overly familiar with fangirls but this sounds about right.
I don’t know if this has happened with another card before. But as far as I can think of, Lightshow is the point where we’ve finally reached where “random” is implied rather than stated in card text because we’re so used to it. Saves space for other text on the card at least.
I’ve seen people complain about balance changes, but what is this even? Is the problem that not only do the patch notes contain words, those words convey information?
Between this and Pozzik, Audio Engineer, I‘m a fan of how they’re producing disruption this set. Rather than “your opponent doesn’t get to use their card”, (Tickatus, Mutanus the Devourer, Theotar, the Mad Duke, etc,) we get more unique effects for it. Pozzik presents your opponent with the choice of spending their mana on worse Ironfur Grizzlys, or letting the opponent have their full 4-mana 11/10 worth of value. And Rin discards your opponent’s cards, but doesn’t take away their total amount of card advantage, and you can’t (or more accurately shouldn’t) run this in a combo Warlock deck due to it possibly burning your necessary cards. It’ll be annoying when used against you for sure, but I like it more than a direct deprivation of resources.
“Zerek's Cloning technology is out of control!!!” I just love the coincidence of this being the description of this week’s brawl the day after Test Subject was deemed out of control!!!
When the only reason most people played the game mode was to deal 100 Nature damage or something for daily quests, I’m kinda surprised it lasted as long as it did. I still had enough fun with it though. Fun little Single Player Challenge and easiest Hearthstone game mode to play when bored at work :)

The next year in standard, you’ll get slandered, bring it on
I ain’t no spell slinger, or a tempo swinger
But I break the mic, feel the godlike strike of Astalor, the Flamebringer!”

What I’d give to one day see paleontologists discover the existence of a real Banjosaur.

I guess they found a way to use the cost and stats of Mukla's Big Brother.

I love how the effect text doesn’t need to over-explain how it works. It’s nice when the Hearthstone team trusts the players will understand.

I wish Dreadprison Glaive was sticking around. Imagine the style points!

As much fun as this sounds, I think this may have the same problem as Deck of Chaos.
