Problem is if you remove silence Aggro decks become trash tier, as much as I don't like facing them, they need something to push through your big boy taunts. It would also make Mage and Shaman a lot more powerful since they are the only classes with transform effects. I'm not really concerned about Cube shenanigans, the only thing that makes Cubelock difficult is all the charge damage from Doomguard.
I don't see how it's broken, it's basically a worse Voodoo Hexxer most of the time since it has no taunt. Especially since there is so much silence about it seems very weak atm.
Veteran Chemist is a slightly awkward mana cheat, but it could bring up some amusing combo deck, certainly gets my vote. The Hunter one is a legit card and should exist :)
Spiteful Summoner or Prince Keleseth they are both broken in different ways but Summoner offers way too much tempo for 1 card (specifically in Priest or Hunter). I believe Priest is the biggest problem atm, but Raza and Anduin DK are fine by themselves, it's the combination that pushes them too far.
It's hard to say, the decks in the current meta rely so much more on drawing specific cards early on, so games can be decided in the first few card draws (it's way worse than it has been in the past). As a viewing experience it is quite poor due to the lack of variety, the meta has been worse (Gadgetzan was the worst this year as far as I'm concerned) and I look forward to balance changes in Feb. and the huge shift that will occur in April.
It seems Tom was worthy of the win, from seeing not just his victories here but in APAC tournaments and other majors he does play very well on the whole. Although I will say he didn't have to make many hard decisions in this one and was carried somewhat by good draws, such is the nature of card games.
You can beat this kind of Control deck with Mage or Shaman - the key is transforming the Doomguard/Cubed Doomguard, all the other threats you can deal with using your minions/normal removal. It takes the burst from their Death Knight and allows you to win through attrition. If they get early Mountain Giants it makes things a bit harder but otherwise it's very much winnable.
The problem with Control/Slower Shaman builds is so many decks have very high tempo plays and while Shaman does have some great removal it just doesn't have ways to push back very hard unless you play board flood or Evolve decks.
Out of all the deck tags this one makes good sense. I mean the Big decks basically decks that avoid almost all small to mid costed minions and just run high cost ones as a win condition, what else would you call them?
Since we do get a pretty strong heal in the form of the new Spellstone it makes this card all the more appealing. The opponent has to keep you above 17 health to prevent the bonus (you can just tap to get it) although some decks do have high burst only Razakus or Aggro Druid will get that much fairly consistently.
It is as many others mentioned our old Molten Giant back - but we don't even have to put taunt activators in our deck which makes it stronger than Molten Giant was in a lot of cases.
You would play this as well as Shield Slam and Execute? I highly doubt it - this is dust since it's weak vs Aggro (they will ruin your armour) and not necessary vs slower decks since other single target removals are more reliable.
Just play it with Tar Creepers and the new 4 mana Druid taunt - you basically want to pull defensive stuff with this (even Doomsayer might be good depending on the deck). I would say the card is playable - good.

What if you have been in all the categories - depending on your mood and how long you've been playing?

Insane card, it's always nice to be surprised by stuff like this on the card dump.

Hunter removal is terrible - therefore an all spell deck is terrible for Hunter... this card is almost as bad as Poison Blade and Tentacles for Arms
