That should be how it works. The way it's worded, it should be that even if you do have a minion out, there's still a chance it will target one of your opponent's minions, or your opponent himself.
In the live Fireside duels they did, it looked like there was only one deck per class. But, that's obviously just speculation until we see more in depth what the interface is like.
If you buy cards during the beta (when that hits), those cards will be lost when the game goes live, but you will get unopened packs of cards in the final version rated at the exact amount you spent during beta. You effectively lose nothing.
This is awesome news! I wasn't planning on buying packs during beta because I didn't want to waste money. But this way, I can buy some packs to be able to test out more possibilities, and still get the packs on live! I'm fine with not getting the exact same cards, although it'd suck to get a couple legendaries in beta and not get any live lol.
It would be nice in a Paladin deck where you have a couple methods to give it Divine Shield. If the board is tilted in your opponents favor late in the game, toss it out there with a Hand of Protection. Or, in a Warrior deck where you can toss a couple taunt minions on either side of it to shield it.
This deck has a bunch of ways to give it taunt. Then, with an Armorsmith out, it helps increase your hero's armor which can then be transferred to damage with Death Wish. Also Battle Rage for once he's damaged along with some other minions. Hmmm, now that I think about it, I may actually replace the Sen'jin Shieldmasta with this!
Beta needs to come out soonnn. I'm reaching the skill level on DoC where pretty much every player I face just straight up has a better deck than me due to better quality cards. And the gold/seals to buy packs are fairly expensive in that game and I don't feel like investing money in it since I'll likely stop playing it when HS releases.
Yeah this deck was made with how cards work now. Presumably Knife Juggler will get a nerf, but it isn't necessary to make this deck work, but it's a natural fit currently. If I didn't use Knife Juggler, what should go in it's place?
Questing Adventurer
Raid Leader
Another Windfury
Mana Tide Totem
Murloc Tidehunter
Another Silverhand Knight.
So many possibilities. Makes building a deck so hard lol
Flesheating Ghoul would actually work really well this this deck. You have the totems, the 1/1 Imps summoned by Imp Master, the 2/2 Gnolls summoned by Hogger, the 1/1 Boars summoned by Razorfen Hunter, the 2/1 Mechanical Dragonlings from Dragonling Mechanic, and the 2/2 Squires from Silver Hand Knight all of which are fairly weak and will die easily in order to buff your ghoul.
I love the idea, this could be a really aggressive deck. I noticed you included Knife Juggler. Is it your intent that the Knife Juggler trigger on each minion that is summoned as a result of a card effect? If so, I wouldn't count on that being the case. We are expecting some clarification from Blizzard on Knife Juggler here really soon.
Solid attempt though, looks good.
Yeah, I imagine they're going to change Knife Juggler to "when you play a minion." Otherwise it would be too powerful in Shaman/Paladin decks since they can use their hero power to summon a minion. That is, assuming that they don't consider the Hero Power to be "playing a minion". Definitely looking forward to that clarification lol.
I'll probably just pick whichever Hero I feel most comfortable with. That way, I'll give myself the best chance to get the extra boosters on top of the cards from crafting the forge deck.
What does Charge, Battlecry and Taunt do? I guess I can guess that Taunt causes the taunting card to take the damage on next turn, but does it mean that all attacks from the opponent attack that card? How many turns does it last?
Other than not understand those things, I can understand this deck pretty well and I love it.
Nvm.. I see now that mousing over those things shows me what they do ^-^ derp.
Except for Battlecry, it doesn't really say what it does.
Battlecry just means that that effect takes place when the minion enters play. so for Shattered Sun Cleric when it enters play, you give a friendly minion +1/+1.
Ah, right, my bad, misread it. Btw single cards might not be that bad, While it gives randomness, since all of them fit the Decks theme they don't weaken it.
That was my thought basically. All of those cards work well in the deck, and I like some semblance of variety in a deck. It's not really like I'm giving much up to have a few different cards for added flavor.
So, I was never really interested in the Warrior deck until I started playing around with this. The basic premise of this deck is to build up armor and absorb damage so as to turn it around and unleash devastating counterattacks. You have a lot of taunt minions, plus Defender of Argus and Sunfury Protector providing more minions with taunt. This allows you to build up armor on your hero with Armorsmith, Shield Block, and your Hero Ability.
Meanwhile, with the damaged minions who keep taunting you can use Battle Rage to make sure you get the cards you need, and Rampage to go on the offensive. Plus there are some minions with enrage who get stronger just from absorbing some damage, and other minions that will interact to buff each other up. Flesheating Ghoul should work really well in this deck.
I used to play Magic back probably about 10 or so years ago now. I typically ran an Elf deck, and would actually usually finish in the top 3 at my local hobby shop. I was fairly young back then, so I never really pursued it further than local games, and didn't have the money to really put together a super competitive deck.

It would actually work very well in a deck I had designed a couple weeks ago.
