posted a message on Shaman will still be #1 next month

Yup, pretty much.  Its a Tunnel Trogg, Totem Golem, and Jade world and we're just living in it until the sets rotate.

Personally I'm just hoping that we don't have another ONiK meta where one deck was clearly superior to every other deck in the meta.  At least right now you can play something other than Shaman and still do well.  But as has been brought up, the Reno decks already struggle against Mid-Jade Shaman and are hard countered by Jade Druid, so assuming Shaman has a more aggressive opening than druids can deal with I see a clear path to part 2 of Midrange Shaminance.

God, I'm so ready to be done with Tunnel Trogg and Totem Golem...

Hearthstone has 3 competitive decks right now?  Sweet!  Already 3x better than Shamanstone.

posted a message on Kripp is going to have a krinniption..

Okay I think we're all missing the majesty of a portmanteau that is "Krinniption."  That said, if Kripp decides to leave because he doesn't enjoy HS, then good for him.  No reason to keep playing a game you don't like.

posted a message on New Priest Card - Greater Healing Potion

Only heals friendly characters? Awwww.  I want to live in a world where you can Embrace the Shadows and burst someone down from 24 with two healing potions.  Well okay, I don't want to live in that world, but I want everyone else to live there so I can laugh at them.

Otherwise, dang, 12pts of healing for 4 mana is not an insignificant card.  Priest resurgence might be real.

Listen, unless we get four playable beast cards depicting some sort of, I don't know, mutated turtle martial artists in late adolescence to actually make this card's buff worth a damn then you guys can count me the fuck out of beast druid.

posted a message on New Warlock Card - Unlicensed Apothecary

Hm... yeah I could see this as having a nice slot in Renolock.  Although the problem here is that Renolock already has a bunch of tools as it is, so no guarantee that this actually makes the cut.  I could also see a world in where you'd put this card in if you could have 31 cards in your deck instead of 30.  Also, is this card a demon or what?  It's clearly an imp, so why no Demon label?  A little consistency is all I ask blizzard.

posted a message on New Warlock Legendary Card - Krul the Unshackled

I like this.  It won't ever see play in current Renolock deck but it isn't supposed to.  Renolock has a TON of tools to choose from, and it has a very specific idea of what it wants to do.  This card seems to be thinking ahead for when the set rotation happens, and Reno is banished to the depths of Wild.  My advice is not to craft it, but don't dust it until the next expansion hits.

posted a message on The problem with Heroic Brawl (rewards too top-heavy)
    Quote from TuphTuph>>

As much as it's gambling, it teaches children (and many other older players) to take risks sometimes for some added value. It is gambling after all, but nobody forces you to play it. That's how it works.

Same is with Rank 6 and Rank 5 rewards. Just one star below and you won't get a golden epic.

This is a person who does not understand how gambling works.  The house is not out to teach lessons, and the house is not your friend.  Blizzard wants your money.  Remember the auction house from Diablo?  Yeah that whole hot mess that required people to play online even in single player and then eventually got canned when it stopped being profitable?  Remember?  Blizzard wants your money people, yes it makes some really good games, but at the end of the day it wants your money.

posted a message on Will you play the Heroic Brawl? If yes, buy in with gold or $$$?

Ooooof, those lower tier rewards.  Yeah no, 1000 gold, or as I see it 10 packs of the next set, is not worth getting the average result on that reward table.  This mode is designed for people who a) don't understand the math behind gambling, b) have enough money or a large enough collection to not care about the cost, or c) are streamers.  I'll certainly watch other people roll through this mode, probably will be a lot of fun and pretty insightful for strategy, and I'm very interested to see what kind of metagame it produces.  Aside from that there isn't much here for me since I've got an entire set to save up for in December/January.

posted a message on Worth crafting Vancleef?

There is no real way to predict what decks will or won't be good in the future so I can't speak to Miracle Rogue's viability.  I can tell you that Vancleef is a worthwhile craft if you are Rogue fan.  It is consistently used in a number of different decks, and it is from the classic set so it will always be usable in standard.

posted a message on Cards That Will Be Missed in Next Year Standard

Oh lordy I'm going to be sad when BRM and TGT rotate out.  They had all of the good dragon synergy cards, so I guess next year I'll be trying to make a dragon deck work in Wild.  Outside of that I'm going to miss Flamewaker, but I have the sneaking suspicion that Mages aren't being given anything good in constructed so maybe that'll free up some design space.   Most of the cards that make Zoolock work are also going out which makes me a sad warlock player, and the loss of reno jackson will also hurt.  Really not going to miss King's Elek, that card causes me more goddamn frustration to the point that it feels like games can hinge on a coinflip.  Can't wait for Tunnel Trogg and Totem Golem to be gone.  Christ those cards are oppressive.  The main thing that I worry about is that Warrior will pretty much remain king when things cycle out, I'd like to see other classes get a chance to shine, but if Warrior doesn't budge from the meta then Blizzard might get the idea that they need to nerf Warrior's removal into the ground.  Maybe if they don't give them ways to stack armor to replace Justicar or Ancient Shieldbearer then it'll give other classes some breathing room?

posted a message on Is Twin Emperor Vek'lor really a must have in C'Thun centered decks?

We are going to see the reemergence of aggro decks fairly soon I expect, so having something that can generate 2 huge taunts (3 with our ol' pal Brann) is incredibly powerful.  The Twin Emperors can win games where you might not even have time to play C'thun.  So yeah, if you are going to play a C'thun, the Twins are almost a must.

posted a message on Priests? Priests!

Yeah I have to say priest is my least favorite class to queue into.  The games are so long and frustrating that even when I win I'm annoyed.  I feels pretty great when you're the one playing and you have all the answers to your opponent, but I find that those situations are few and far between.  I don't play priest that often so I can't offer an opinion of what it feels like to play at high skill levels though.
