Thank you! I knew there was a formula for that sort of thing, but I was coming up blank on it. If I counted the rows in the database right, it's 1 in 67,600. 25 rows of 4 on 2 pages, then 15 rows of 4 on the third, right? I'll recalculate if I'm wrong. (EDIT: I want to say that I only used the calculator to square 260.)

I was playing my Reno Renouncelock at Rank 10, and against a Handbuff Paladin with over 30 damage on board, I had a green Reno Jackson after using Renounce Darkness, not that it would save me even if it was yellow. Now, I was at 9 mana, topdecked Fireworks Tech, used it on my Weaponized Pinata, and got Cenarius, which, of course, I needed another mana to use, and again, it wouldn't save me. Then I traded in the Pinata and Cenarius comes out again. I know someone will say I had more of a chance of getting the same legendary twice than actually winning that match, because I know both are nearly zero, but can someone please give me some serious odds of this happening in Wild?

Playing Reno Renouncelock  at Rank 10 again. Need 1 more win to get to 150 gold for an Arena fun run. I Renounce Darkness on Turn 3 against a Reno Mage. Only minion in hand is Walking Fountain. I think to myself, "I'm screwed, aren't I." Then the Mage plays a certain minion on Turn 3 that helps me win on Turn 9 after a Reno Jackson on the Mage's side. Yep, it's our good friend Dirty Rat. I also had a Lotus Illusionist turn into Spark Drill, then used Big Bad Voodoo on it and it became Swamp King Dred, and when Swamp King Dred can't be removed by your opponent, it's awesome.

posted a message on What card do you want to make work?

When I first started, that card was Mekgineer Thermaplugg, my first legendary. Then I learned about Dr. Boom a couple of months later, and bid a bitter farewell to him as I was impatient in getting Dr. Boom, and apparently for good reason, as Standard rotation ended up coming only six months later, so the sooner the better. Nowadays it's quite a few cards, most of which I don't own.

Had this happen in Reno Renouncelock this morning. (I recently made a Zoo Renounce deck as well, so I'll be distinguishing between the two for any future moments here or in the salt thread.) Hero power on my own Lich King to make it go off, War Golem was from the Shaman using Devolve on my Ragnaros.

If you, by any chance, have read my "I have become a monster..." post, skip down to the bottom, as this is a continuation with a silver lining.

I was inspired to mess with Big Priests about a week ago by a player who summoned lots of low-value minions with cards such as Flight Master. I didn't have very many of those cards, so I went with an aggressive lineup featuring Mindgames and Potion of Madness, for use against the 1/1 that Barnes summons. Then, I made a Thief/Big Priest hybrid that also ran Mindgames, but also resurrection cards and Talanji. Yesterday morning, I faced a mostly Big Priest that ran Mindgames. Thinking I might have gotten into a gateway drug, I treated myself to some Old Gods packs with the hopes of getting Yogg-Saron back. Then Y'shaarj came out, and against my better judgement, I invested some dust, and my hybrid deck became a full-on Big Priest, and I will admit to playing some matches with it.

But this morning, I was playing my Zoo version of Renouncelock, and I ended up giving the win to the same Priest player that started it all, out of generosity. Now I'm going to make a deck just like his, with all the summon cards.

Sorry to post twice in a row, had another salty moment with Standard Token Druid.

Thief Rogue: *uses Turn 1 Pilfer*

    Me: "Okay, then."

    *a couple of turns pass*
Thief Rogue: *plays Spectral Cutlass, along with Witchwood Apple, which is four durability in one card for his cutlass.*

Me: *Can I please see any of my buff cards?"

    Top of my deck: "Nope."

I was also going to say something about Faceless Lackey dropping Mana Wraith in a mirror, which is salt for both me and my opponent. Then I remembered that I won that match.

I was playing my aggressive Priest deck with Mindgames to mess with Big Priest, and anyone else who thinks I'm Big Priest. Well, I was up against a Quest Mage with Casino elements, and he got an insane randomly generated Astral Rift off. Medivh, the Guardian plus Arcane Dynamo into Firelands Portal. I think that is the most insane Astral Rift I have ever seen. I lost when he used Time Warp without exodia because he had enough damage thanks to those two.

Again, I deserve this, but here goes.

Lost four matches in a row with Bomb Warrior, and only one of them was Token Druid. The other three? Summoner Mage in which I did not draw either Brawl in about 20 cards, Little Spell Mage (I have countered Bomb Warrior with this deck myself, but this one had Azerite Elemental and generated the right spells at the right time.) The most infuriating one was Resurrect Priest. I drew Blastmaster Boom on 7, but I failed to draw any of my bomb cards before that. I nearly had him, then I got hit with a 24/24 Damaged Stegotron and a couple of other things.

I mean, you're apparently running Kel'Thuzad in big priest so that would fit the theme of players being absolutely clueless on how the deck works and what (not) to run. Good for you. Keep it going so I can continue farming stars even more easily.

Thank you. Kel'Thuzad's also going into a couple of my other decks, so it's not a dead craft.

I typically play fun decks in Wild, and got to Rank 10 before RoS with Secret Paladin. Now here's my story.

I played an aggressive Priest deck running Mindgames and Potion of Madness to mess with Big Priests. Then I played a Thief/Big Priest hybrid with some filler to mess with Big Priests harder. Then, this morning, I treated myself to 7 Old Gods packs with the hopes of finally getting Yogg-Saron back. I opened the second pack and guess which Old God came? It wasn't Yogg, I crafted N'Zoth for use in other decks, and of course I already have C'Thun. I hate to admit it, but I invested some dust to recraft Barnes and Kel'Thuzad, and my hybrid deck became a full-on Big Priest. Chastise me all you want, I deserve it.

I have a Hybrid (Big/Thief) Priest deck that seems to counter true Big Priests. I made it with the cards I had, and though this may seem like pepper so far, I had a salty match with it just now.

Rank 10 in Wild. Queue up with the hopes of defeating another full Big Priest with his own stuff that I'm missing. Garrosh appears. Pirates? No. Odd Quest and a crap ton of Taunt minions? No. Fully standard Bomb Warrior? Yes. To my credit, I made it to my last two cards with 9 health. I'm thinking, "I think at least one of these is a Bomb, but not both." I was wrong, and not in a good way. They say Priest is not in a good spot in Standard, and I think I just saw why.

I made a Wild Priest deck that is a hybrid between Thief and Big Priest with the cards I had. It seems to be a near-hard counter to the regular Big Priests due to me stealing the minions I'm missing and then resurrecting them with either my own rez cards or ones from Thoughtsteal, plus having some filler minions such as Big Bad Archmage sometimes gives me the edge as well. I also Entombed an early Mal'Ganis from a Mecha'Thun Warlock, and the ending board of that match is shown below. EDIT: I played Mindgames into Mecha'Thun as I killed him.

I've been playing Quest Paladin in Wild lately, Had a crazy match versus a Handbuff Paladin at Rank 10. I have a couple of handbuff cards as well, and he dropped Lorewalker Cho on Turn 2. Then, not knowing what I was up against, I gave him a Smuggler's Run. That ended in my loss before I got the quest done, but I was laughing so hard that I had to post it here.

posted a message on Plays That Make Us Heartsick

Since this is neither salt nor pepper if you ask me, I thought I'd make a new thread.

I was recently playing my Renounce Darkness Warlock deck on the Wild ladder at Rank 10, which I had done from 20 with Secret Paladin. (before RoS, mind you) I was up against a Quest Paladin, and my Weaponized Pinata gave me Hemet Nesingwary. After having no choice but to blow Galvadon to smithereens with a trash legendary, I nearly vomited all over my slightly expensive setup during my next match. I then realized that I had the Paladin quest, and took it upon myself to play it on ladder, too. Has anyone else ever felt this way?
