There's so much luck involved and 3 losses is such a small number - don't feel too bad if you hit 3 losses sooner than you'd expect with a great deck. I remember how intense arena was before i'd had 12 wins, now I must have had 30+ - just remember what's in your deck, to accept when you're loosing and start pushing for the win to give yourself a chance, and If you loose for 11-3 rather than 12 don't worry about it - you can't control the decks you face - sometimes you'll face unbeatable decks at 0 - 0. Just go again, don't put too much on one run.

It's better not worse - arena was becoming like constructed, you could just draft a yolo -nothing over 3 mana- face deck and do really well with it. Screw that - arena was the one place where serious strategy came into play in HS and i want it to stay that way,

Brand new accounts should have card packs thrown at them to get people rolling - if they disenchant everything they get to build a cancer hunter, well so be it. That is up to the player.
Something like 15 original packs 10 gvg, and 5 tgt. Nax is old now too, I'd say they can have that for free. Plus no mad scientitst, no noob wins ;p
F2P games die without a constant source of many new players every single day. It would also give me anothhr reason to talk about it to people who don't yet play - this I used to do but can no longer out of embarassment, thanks to either the huge time or cash sink just to devlop a semi-viable collection.

The meta is pretty crazy right now..if there even is a meta, I've played all my games today between rank 7 and rank 3 and it's been a new deck with all sorts of random shit in it in every match just about, really unpredicatble.

I don't know why, but there's a certain kind of person drawn to 'asshole decks' in this game. Patron warrior, freeze mage, miracle rogue - the type of deck where you don't give a shit what your opponent does or plays, it's all about your own draaws and their order. You are not playing your opponent, you are playing your own luck.
When people say these deck are hard to play, what they mean is 'how good are you at not taking the bait' - your ability to just effing ignore anything your opponent does, ignore your impulse to start playing a game.
Thank god for cards like kezan mystic, that force these people to, just occasionally, react and play.

I tried this kind of deck a while back - it's never gonna be much use for more than fun in casual - but it's worth consdiering master of disguise....i used them and the likes of nat pagle with ancient mage and headcrack, when it worked it was a lot of fun.

I don't use it, but I can certianly see it's use in arena - in constructed if you're playing a deck you don't know inside out, you're not going to reach legend anyway so it seems irrelevant there.

Trust Ben Brode? You know he is head of hearthstone? He doesn't exactly have the players' best interest in mind, it's all about the benjamins to him.
Also many great reasons have been given, the other side has stupid 'progress...yes level up magma rager to ice rager, so satisfying'....or 'it doesn't matter'. Very convincing.
It not mattering is a pretty convincing argument to me because nobody has yet to give a reason why it DOES matter. A new card (from a new pack-type) is better than a card in the BASIC set provided to players. I still don't see why the community is up in arms here.
I think the primary reason is the 'slippery slope argument' based on people's previous experince with CCGs. Once card obsoletion begins it can spiral out of control very quickly, especially when there's money to be made, but at the expense of people's enjoyment and hard earned collections. It irritates people that in HS there's just no need for this kind of power creep when the original minion can be buffed. It also takes up a slots on the new expansion where you might have had some nice spicey new card.
I think it's the obsoletion of booty bay bodyguard which is really winding people up as they are replacing it with a semi-playable card. If they would just patch 'pirate' on to booty bay everyone would calm down.

Yup, as power creep is making the combo/stall decks almost as bad as the raw aggro, in some cases its already worse (see patron warrior) and freeze mage always sucked. It would be nice to see some of the fat legendaries see play too.

If you're lower rank (20 to 5) Then you think patron's are ok...you play less of them and the people you do meet playing them suck. If you're higher rank (5 to legend) then you understand why Patron gets so much hate. The punish you for playing minions, especially anything sub 3 atk, and hit you with a from the hand combo that does over 30dmg. It's total BS - the teck is in a tier all of it's very own - above ramp druid, mid hunter, freeze mage, eboladin etc....yes even face hunter.
The stats speak for themselves, just go google patron winrate, there have been a couple of group-pro stats tests. Patron with a good pilot is damn near 70% winrate against just about every deck. It's OP, and needs nerfing.

the title and OP.. wtf? why proud?! the question is: "why being stupid to pay?"
it's just a f2p game, so I just don't pay. what's the problem? I have every good card in the game without money.
instead of wasting 500 € in one game, you could have bought ten real games. or even better: it's half of a new gamer pc that will be needed for Star Citizen release (= HS dead).
it got nothing to do with pride.. it's just about being intelligent.
So basically you're just a leach and are playing this game while thinking it isn't worth paying for at all. You're the worst kind of person who plays this game. Let me guess, you also collect welfare?
He is not the only one who thinks that.
Personally i also feel that this game is not worth the money that they are charging. The developers are doing a poor job at game balancing and customer service. It's an awesome game to play for free, but when the thought of spending money on a low rate game like this crosses my mind, i shudder.
Stopped reading here. If the game isn't worth your money, stop playing. You're a leach off of people who actually spend money to play this game, and you're entitled and shitty about it at the same time. When I read comments like this I just picture the same type of people who are able bodied, standing in line at the unemployment office collecting money from tax payers because they're too entitled to get off their asses and find a job.
If you can't afford to even spend $10 a year on this game, you shouldn't be playing. If you can afford it and don't think it's worth it, you shouldn't be playing.
Found the unemployed person
There's that attitude again man...
Seriously thoughm i'm curious what your opinion on mine is, i said this earlier :
"More than half the fun is building the collection - like I used to with football cards as a kid. Once the collection was actually complete the whole thing stopped being any fun at all. I truly regret the packs i bought - arena all the way from now on."
