Aren't 2 Silver Vanguards too much as they only have one minion target to recruit? It feels like they are more likely just to dilute your rez pool with weak 3/3s. Maybe trade one of them for a primordial drake?

posted a message on Big favor, can anyone give me a quick meta summery of what happend since K&C expansion?
    Quote from Zion7 >>

Super thanks for the great replies. Honestly it sounds like I haven't missed much. So just to clarify, am I understanding that Odd and Even cards were so powerful that Blizzard decided to HoF them a year early? Since I didn't play during that time, what was it like? I mean was it busted or were the odd/even decks just annoying because too many people were playing it? At eyes glance, just reading what the odd/even cards do I couldn't tell how strong those decks were and sense I never played against one (and now never will) maybe someone can explain what it felt like.

Also in general, what classes do people feel were too strong or too weak during that meta leading up until now. The last time I was into this game during K&C, Preist, Druid and Warlock were for sure the strong classes and Shaman, Paladin and Warrior were looking pretty weak overall. Did that change after K&C?

     That changed a lot.

Currently Paladin is dominating with arguably three decks at tier 1 (Odd/Even/Secret Paladin).

Shaman also has a very strong Even Shaman deck.

Warrior also has Odd Warrior, some builds using the quest, but probably the most effective one being the one that uses dragon mechanics.

Priest has one strong deck called Wall Priest, which is an OTK deck. Zoolock is fairly powerful again. Druid got nerfed to hell and is fairly weak now.

You can see a pretty good overview of the Meta at disguisedtoast.com

Feel free to add me via my battle tag. I'm happy to play a couple of games with you to help you catch up. It's also possible to deckshare now, so you can use my decks to play to see what fits with you. I am in Japan though so the time difference could be an issue.

So many people whining about Priest domination when Priest consistently graces top tier the least. How about you just learn how to play the game?

I kinda expected the base to be a little older. I’m early thirties. Am I getting old?

Meh, I’m of the Kripp and Trump generation of players I guess. And still younger than Kibler.

Pretty good on Immortal Prelate. Get taunt on it too with Sunfury Protector and you can have a lifesteal taunt that keeps on coming back.

.... The mods didnt even update the expansion menu since its reveal or added the countdown timer. Seems nobody is interested.

*Disclaimer: this is not flame thread, this is the best website still for HS news and updates, however the hype around this expansion has been minimal at best and we are about 2 weeks into release!

Yeah, cool. Let’s judge the expansion based on the less than 10% of cards that have been shown. Seems reasonable.

Im getting tired of op priest cards every expansion...

I know right. Look at all the legendaries Priest has gotten over the last few expansions that see play ALL the time. I am so tired of seeing Lady in White or Zerek being played every single game.

When will Priest stop dominating Tier 1!!??

Agree with all of this. Sometimes opening a legendary mid expansion makes you suddenly start experimenting with new decks and reignites your interest.

They are EVIL. And as Voidlord says "Darkness Rises".

Maybe the next chapter will be called "Fade of Hope."

OP, your topic reminds on WoW and how you'd have to grind for the various raid/conquest gear. Many players took a break when they hit that 'gear bench-mark' and couldn't progress further until a new patch. I think of HS expansion grinding somewhat similarly. People say that if they had all of the cards right away that they would be more inclined to play more. I'd have to disagree though. People would play more often at the start of an expansion, but then they would surely help increase the crowd of players later on that would bemoan how they are suddenly bored of the metas and felt that they were playing the same game over and over until a HS 'patch' came out.

Long story short I think it is better when players have a goal to work for instead of having everything all at once. Having everything does nothing but increase the likelihood more players quit due to burn-out and/or boredom.

I think this is something for Devs to take note of.  I think a lot of people’s interest in playing the game daily is based on can they work towards something. For example, a lot of people say they just do the daily quest.

What would be amazing is if every month you could ‘wishlist’ a legendary, so that you have a higher (or guaranteed?) chance of opening that card when you open golden goodness.

it would certainly make you more eager to grind for packs.

Variety is what makes HS fun. Playing the same deck over and over again is just dull, particularly considering that the rewards for playing are so weak.

You can still get a lot of variety in play by still being relatively budget (buy a bundle each expansion).

I guess my point is it's kind of similar to the Rastakahn Rumble single player content. It wasn't that fun because everything was offered up from the get go. There was very little rewards or progression.

The game is more fun when you work towards things. Of course, climbing ladder is one part of that, but I think for many people there is a lot of fun in working towards that next big craft. I just noticed it's not a part of the fun of the game that gets talked about positively.

I've never really grinded with Arena (mainly because I'm not that good at it).

How beneficial is it to use Arena as your main way of collecting resources?

Just an opinion here that came up in a recent discussion.

Many of us have seen streamers opening hundreds, if not thousands of packs. I've always felt though that just buying the full collection outright kind of takes away a large part of the fun.

I've always enjoyed the experience of trying to balance my collection, thinking about what I want to dust and what I need to craft. I find this part of the game of resource management, and working towards that point where I can craft that legendary I've been grinding for to be one of the most rewarding parts of the game.

What does everyone think? I've added a poll to see where everyone is on this topic. Also, I used to be free to play, and I've payed out for whole collections. For me, buying  a single bundle and working to fill in the gaps of my collection has been the most enjoyable experience.
