"Lok-tar ogar, brother! Although i'd prefer more Lok-tar and less ogar..."
My thanks go to Toxibrah who was the first one to come up with the name for this card.

Let's split the light and shadow!
*If you are Priest, it will cast in the order of Warrior, Druid, Paladin, Hunter, Mage, Shaman, Warlock; if you are Rogue, then cast them in the reverse order.

I wanted to make a card that discovers a card with a united theme between classes - originally I had the idea of discovering 'Shadow' cards between Priest and Warlock, but then Rogue also has Shadow cards like Shadowstep so that wasn't great. Then I had the idea of Choose One - Discover a Shaman card or; Discover a Druid card, but that was a little too similar to Raven Idol, so it wouldn't be good either.
I settled on this, mostly because it has a precedent in I Know a Guy and Journey Below, and most poisonous minions are either Rogue or beasts, this combination of classes (Hunter and Rogue) made sense. I guess you could also get Envenom Weapon too, if you wanted.
EDIT: Fixed wording to be consistent with other examples (Discover blank with keyword to Discover a keyword blank)

All of the other classes already hit higher ranks. I've been playing Ranks 1-3 over the last week and see the widest variety of classes and deck archetypes at high ranks ever.

Things usually go live around midday PST, +/- an hour. Not typically right on rollover.

I agree that these cards were probably for the most part done a few months ago, but it's not like anyone expected Priest to be really good in Old Gods before it came out anyway. So even back then they could have known it would be one of the worst classes.
I'm not sure they completely finalise cards until they release them either, I remember seeing the Old Gods stream when they played Yogg Saron and he cast Ancestral Knowledge and whoever the caster (idr who it was) asked if that would Overload him next turn and the developer said currently not, but they were considering changing that. This was less than 2 weeks before release, so they obviously can change things fairly last minute.

You can't just take existing meta decks from Standard and put them into Wild and expect them to compete. They aren't designed to counter those threats. You'd need to build decks specifically for the Wild meta but only use Standard cards to get a more accurate feel.
As a general rule though, Wild decks are a lot more powerful potentially. You may run into more gimmicks etc though, dragging down the power level in practice. Until you reach the better ranks anyway.

Because 2/2 is 1.5 Mana worth of stats. 1/3 minions only get away with it because 1 Attack is so poor. 2 Attack actually kills a lot of 2 drops.

Most Tempo Warrior decks use both.

Can't say I'm sorry to see less Tempo Mage. I never enjoyed losing because Flamewaker just happened to ping the exact targets. Same deal for Knife Juggler.
Rng of that value so early in a match can decide things purely on a coin flip. Some rng is great, but not when it's so impactful
