posted a message on Need Help - Current Meta

Hi guys, Playing with deathrattle hunter variant. I am getting a lot of matchups in casual queue against Mech Mage and losing 95% of the matches. I am also seeing Mech - druid or Mech - rogue, which also gives me big problems. Other anti aggro decks are there to some extent so my wins are really low in the last few hours.

What are you guys running? Any tips on how to beat the current decks that are prevalent?

    thanks again

posted a message on Blizzard need to fix the Match Making system

I wont complain about the individual matches as I do pretty well these days but I really think that the Match Making system is broken and needs fixing.

I have started on a new server and have passed the basics etc.

Now that I have started to play in casual (over 100 games now to test) and I can say FOR CERTAIN that I have a win / loss of 1:1 or worse .

But the Match Making System is matching me with anything but "Worthy Opponents"

Today I played against a golden hero, there is no way someone can win 500 games in Ranked and be 1:1 or worse in win / loss.

Today I played a full Tier 1 Control Warrior Gromash win con etc. How is someone able to acquire all the Rares, Epics, and Legendary's for a deck and not have played a casual game OR be so bad that they are matched in 1:1 bracket.

I am 100% Blizz know about this and they are not doing anything about it.

EDIT: More than half my opponents have very old card backs. Season 2 and season 5 is most common, Your telling me these players from that long ago are still bad enough to be 1:1 BUT good enough to read signals play around key cards and know strengths and weaknesses of all the deck types and sometimes hose me with perfect play?

Anyway thats all I wanted to say.

Well here is my deck, it seems the consensus here is that I can go further using my basic cards and some expert cards. I just feel the orange gem cards are so good as they have very relevant battlecry effects and also have effects that occur at end of turn, these prevent the opponent from stopping you getting at least 1 use from the card.

I don't agree with the matching system (for casual) 100%. It means if I test a new deck or practice with a class, I am automatically matched with a hyper competitive list and high win/loss% player prevent me from getting any real practice. This happens to my class quests as I own no hunter cards it is very hard to get even 3 wins with it in the casual room to complete a daily. It doesn't seem well thought out.

Thanks for all the responses, I feel this is just the way it is and the majority of players are happy playing this way. I am Surprised no one complains about casual being just as hardcore as ranked.

    see you in the forums!

How are you still at rank 11-12 if you are finding it so hard to get fair games?

If your rank isn't sinking down towards 20, then you are getting fair games, and winning roughly half of them.

While you are correct that I win half of them, they are not "fair".

The ones I win are usually through the opponents bad plays or bad luck, missing vital plays or similar actions. I would not consider that fair in any way. Also is it really fair to matched against someone with a golden portrait when I have only a hundred or two hundred wins total? And thirdly why does the game not take into account that I have very few cards unlocked, while it pairs me with players who (I guess) have played for a longer time, have more cards, more wins. I don't consider it fair as Its basically me not having a chance against the decks with the card pool I have. I can't get all the expert cards Instantly, So there is a forced time penalty on me advancing through ranked.

Does anyone have experience progressing through ranked with an incomplete set of cards? Is the game really only about making decks with purple gem and orange gem cards rather than having synergy in your lists?

I had a quick read through the class discussions and I may read further there.

posted a message on Having problems finding fair games

    Hi all.

I'm new to this forum. I have just started playing and I have some real concerns. Here is a run down:

Completed all the basic card quests.

    Completed Some of Nax quests

Own some other Expert cards (not many, most as 1 of's)

Played ranked this week and last week and am around the Level 11 - 12 range

I *used* to win something like 60-70% of my games.

The problem is that Almost every opponent I play in ranked now has a deck that consists of the hardest cards to acquire. Realistically there is no way I can acquire orange gem cards this season or this week or any time in the near future. It is unlikely that I can beat say the warrior deck with what looks like 6 or more orange gem cards that completely take over the game and turn a likely win (for me) to a easy loss. The second part of this is the "casual" games. Sure the ranked games should be difficult but when you play casual against the same decks that are in ranked, it seems like a serious negative. If anything there is more variety in casual, but whether they are playing rogue, druid, mage, all the opponents in the casual game are playing decks stacked with purple gem and orange gem cards. It is a serious issue that I keep losing to the same orange cards over and over as they are not even class specific. They just get jammed by almost everyone it seems.

Now, that is the problem and I can not see any real solution. In the Basic/Expert cards I own I can't find the answers to the strong cards. Does this mean I need to buy packs until I open 2 of every  card? Is this how everyone else gets the cards needed to play?

Is there any way to find opponents that are not playing these high quality professional decks? It seems very rigged that these opponents are the only ones I have to play against.

    Thanks
