No, it doesn't sound as harsh as 'paywalled'.  But you don't get to find the most brutal word you can find and fling it out just to make the situation sound worse.  You're turning what could've been a discussion on how they didn't really need to delay Anomaly mode for gold spenders, which could be a valid point, into a war over words an a question over whether this really is the WORST! POSSIBLE! THING! that has ever happened in your life.

Saddest thing is that the OP started it off right and you can see how it really seems kind of sucky that it's set up that way.  Then we get into 'paywall' and the rest is forgotten.  

 

In any case, no it's not a paywall.  No, being made to wait longer is not a paywall.  Yes it's sucks that it's like that. That it sucks still doesn't make it a paywall.

I have carefully read all articles and threads prior to the release and seen all the pros and cons of buying it via gold or cash before deciding. There was no mention what so ever about anomaly mode being time gated for cash only. If I had known that I could have chosen the cash option to not miss out on anything as I could easily afford it as a grown working man.

Blizzard has failed in informing all players about this issue which is actually bad advertising ( to the person who said it was good ). They could have earned 20$ off of me.

And another fact that kind of bothers me is that some people here say " so what, just wait a few weeks". That's not really true. They said each week the anomaly changes and who knowns when they anomaly feature for the missed weeks will come back. Im not sure how many versions they made but theoretically I could be waiting months for whichever anomaly was featured this week.

With all that said. I only started this thread to figure out if I was right. wasn't looking to change the world or blizzard's way of releasing content. They've disappointed me plenty more in the past 15 years. I still love and enjoy most games and owe blizzard some of the best memories I have growing up.

Anyways I got my answer, kind of unfair that cash buyers get the access to anomaly/Zayle an gold buyers don't. I don't see any reason why gold should be treated differently as there was no mention anywhere about this thing. ( not that I saw anyway ).

ingame gold has value to us and to blizzard just as much as Real cash does. sort of....I guess. I'm no specialist.

So I see people around saying you can buy the entire adventure with gold ahead of time, ofc meaning the following chapters will only be playable once their respective week arrives.

but unlike buying with real money I cant find an option to buy separate wings using my gold.

im only asking this because I want to play the anomaly mode which requires you to own the entire adventure ( not complete it ).

does this mean only people who bought the full adventure using cash gets to enjoy this mode for the next 4 weeks? or am I missing something?

I keep seeing people doing calculations if buying the adventure is worth it. 15x packs + golden zayle + 1 golden aint worth I blah blah blah...but you guys are completely ignoring the fact that you're not supposed to buy it for packs. if u want packs just buy 28x packs. 

you cant completely ignore the fact that with those rewards comes a, what seems to be an entertaining and unique adventure. I've watched the showdown and it looked really fun to me. so ill buy it, in hopes of enjoying the adventure and the rewards that come with it. To me it seems like a fair price and at the end of the day no one is pointing a gun at your head. buying it or not buying it should not effect your overall collection or other game modes.

And for the record- Golden legendary that can be disenchanted for 1.6k dust is amazing/ or if you like playing whizbang mode. you'll be playing a full golden deck. and I myself enjoy having fun sometimes letting whizbang chose for me.

deck is really great and for one reason I like more then most, im 5-0 vs warrior thanks to nomi. the rest of the win rate hasn't changed much vs the other classes and might even be harder vs zoo/token to win but they don't show up as much. but the fact that I don't have to auto concede vs a warrior is worth it all. thanks a lot :)

I wanted to give your deck a try. went for 0-5 on the 1st couple hours at legend between ranks 1000-2000. didn't mind it much cause I actually had fun playing.

then.... decided to play it a bit more and now in total im on 16-7 with it. :)

however I never actually pulled off the vareesa combo you mention in your guide. still nevertheless I win.

my mvp for this deck is defently unleash the beast.

I also have not had any real decent combo with vargoth so replaced him for a rat trap. with all those combo decks rat has actually won me some games.

I hit legend with this deck 1st time. Thank a lot !!

You're not really paying 2800g for the solo content, tho. 

Each chapter gives you 3 RoS packs, which normally costs you 300g. 

So, you're really paying 400g for each chapter of solo content. Or 1600g total.

And if you buy all the chapters you get a bonus golden classic pack, which is worth a lot more than 100g by itself.

Still may not be worth it to you, depending on how much you value more RoS packs and/or dust. But It's not a bad deal.
