It's such garbage, but so much fun when it works out!

Opened it on the Asian server (along with the epic that revives a destroyed weapon) and gave it a shot.

So very shaman.  Elemental chaos at its best. 18 damage and six random spells is no joke.

You need to play control, though.

Anyone else having a good experience with The Runespear

posted a message on Summon Alakir

Having a Stormcaller in your deck is a sign of boundless optimism to the point of insanity. Bloodlust's existence means that no reasonable player is likely to leave your totems up. The card is dust, and anybody who crafts it is a slavering madman.

As for the grammar dispute, if a word means one thing and also its opposite, then it isn't a very useful word anymore. Most corrupted uses of "literally" have easy substitutes. People who use it incorrectly either find hyperbole unaccountably funny, are ignorant,  or are trolling grammar nazis. (Note for grammar nazis: Super not worth it. It is literally impossible to make everyone on the internet use "literally" the right way. Just beat your children if THEY use it incorrectly.)

posted a message on Elemental shaman

I stuffed mine full of jade cards instead of control bs, and that seems to work alright. Murmuring's got what jades crave! (It's got 'lectrolytes!)

The Jade Spirits really help out with the "previous turn" elemental triggers, Aya is sticky, and Jade Lightning is sometimes enough to put you over the top.

I guess if you're sick of jade, or if you are some kind of elemental purist, this wouldn't appeal to you.

Grumble is the fucking man. It might be my favourite K&C card since this deck is so much fun. (Great art, too.)

    THE ELEMENTALS WILL DESTROY YOU!

posted a message on My free weapon was runespear, how can i put it to use?

Opened it on the Asian server. Fun when you draw it. It's like playing the lotto, though. Don't expect to win. I attacked with it five times in one game and got a "Well played". (I got that guy who revives a destroyed weapon to your hand in the same pack. It was meant to be.)

This one is just there for trolling. Super unreliable. Very high mana cost.

Hey, weapon rogues! Doesn't mage still have freeze stuff?

    What's your plan for that?

Elemental mages should be really happy to see you.

This would need to start in your hand to be useful in standard. Are you really going to load your deck with a bunch of shitty weapon buff spells just in case you draw this? (And then hope to draw it again to get some value!?!)

Fuck. That. I think it's hot garbage unless rogue gets a weapon tutor like warrior's. Then it's just cold garbage, I guess.

Might be somewhat useable in wild since you already have Oil in there.

Not crafting this and praying to Yogg that I don't get it as one of my legendaries.

Edit: We got our weapon tutor, so I changed my vote to "Playable". Still not very exciting, but if it brings in another archetype, then I'm all for it.

... my opponent roped me every single turn, he would play his turn within the first 5 to 10 seconds and then just wait the his timer to run out. who does that?

Me. I will do that...under certain circumstances. Play Razakus in casual and I will rope the shit out of you for at least a few turns. There need to be consequences for blatant assholery.
Get fucked. (And not in the good way. By, like, a horse...with AIDS...and alcohol abuse issues.)

Let's have a Razakus Priest mode. These little fuckers need somewhere to enjoy their circle-jerk without bothering neurotypical people. The opponents will be either other Razakus priests, or a mid-level AI (using meta decks) that emotes and ropes at random, just like a real boy.

This would be a secret mode that you automatically queue into when you play casual and Raza is in your deck. (This could work for Jade Idol, too!)

With this small change the game experience would improve beyond comprehension.

Hey, Razakus players! STAY THE FUCK OUT OF CASUAL! We know your deck is stupid and inconsistent, with a win rate below 50%, but fuck you!

While cancer is unarguably 'a' c-word, I believe that it is generally accepted that 'the' c-word is 'cunt'.

As in: Holy shit! Look at all of these rancid fucking CUNTS playing Keleseth tempo decks and Razakus. Have they no sense of human decency?

As for not being fun for anyone, that is arguable. It looks to be fun for sociopathic players who don't care about the opponent's experience. This is a result of the random anonymous matchmaking system. This shit wouldn't fly in a traditional tabletop card game. Your play group could simply refuse to play with you unless you pick a different deck.

posted a message on What is the Rogues class designed to do?

Rogue is designed to either win or lose spectacularly.

Valeera is also best-equipped to commit suicide and deny your opponent the pleasure of finishing her off. She died because that's what SHE wanted.

posted a message on So, I have some dust to spare. Any crafting opinions?

Hmm... That all looks like stuff that you can get along just fine without.

I stopped impulsively crafting a couple of sets ago, and the dust really starts to pile up.

Looks like you're mostly into it for shits and giggles, though, so just do whatever.

Elise seems fun. The Jaina deck is slow as balls. Hadronox has no deck and is worse than N'zoth. Gooze is just another ooze. Spirit Echo is an interesting option. I might play control shaman someday and finally earn my Thrall Card. As you say, Echo could be a good one-of in elemental. Hydra is fine if you like face shenanigans. Seems boring, though, unless you somehow use it to commit a really stylish suicide. Geist? Yawn. Shellshifter has a low opportunity cost. I'd probably just play in wild with that 5/2 cat / 2/5 bird fire druid thing. Edit: Druid of the Flame

posted a message on What are Hearthstone's highest skill decks?

Over in the Shaman Zone, it looks like you're not a proper shaman main unless you are into Control Shaman, which is quite rare in matchmaking, and notoriously difficult to play properly.

Miracle Rogue often forces you to ride the line and squeak out a win at the last moment. Lots of turn planning and a wide variety of endgame results.

Freeze and quest mage look like they're probably hard to use, but there is only ever one thing that happens in the end. (Two things if you count getting smoked by aggro.)

What are your personally-rewarding, skill-intensive decks?

I play this on wild ladder, but I'm just screwing around, so I don't know how good it is if you really push.

It's a lot of fun. Sometimes people concede after Emperor comes down, but those people are spoilsport assholes. Alexstraza is a good backup plan, if you have her.

    I say go for it.

posted a message on What do you like to lose to?

Perhaps six or seven months after I started playing (Naxx/GVG), I was matched against a golden priest with a full deck of golden cards. Every card was from the basic set, and the guy completely mopped the floor with me. It was amazing.

That was when I realized that it's not all about what cards you have, but how you play them. It remains an inspiration. Git gud, noob.
