posted a message on Blizzard Rethinking Wild Pack Purchases

You guys are funny, really. Competitive wild format is mostly for people who spend more money that usual, even if it can also be played by casual players. This is absolutely impossible that the wild packs will be same or less expensive than standard. Blizzard want people to play standard and to buy standard packs, not wild. So, no matter how we will be able to buy wild packs, buying cheaper packs that way will not happen. Don't expect something else.

Even if, myself included, we want theses packs less expensive.

posted a message on Is priest already reshaping the meta?

Yesterday, I faced warriors, rogues, mages, hunters, druids... A lot of druids strangely. Didn't see any Quest Rogue so yea, the meta is moving so fast. I don't remember facing any priest though (played around 15-20 games). I am mainly playing my own secret mage myself.

I really love this expansion atm, a lot more than the kraken year. It's enjoyable because you face a lot of deck variations and with people playing discover/discover from opponent or cards like Elise, you never know what can happen. It look like people are customising their decks, so yea it's really good.

Unfortunately, I don't think it will stay like that for long. Some lists will be claimed top tier and we will start facing the same decks soon.

This deck is very strong and so much fun. I love playing Priest from the beginning of HS but now, Priest is not only fun, it also becomes really solid.
A lot of cards in this deck do funny things like Shrinkmeister + Cabal. But, at my rank (8-10), I almost never use Ysera and I don't like Dark Cultist so replaced with SW:Pain.

Congratulations on this list ! It's a very fun deck. One of the funniest deck I ever played with mill rogue maybe. Every game look like a challenge but almost every game look like a game you can win. The only drawback (but I don't mind) is that games are longer than usual.

Anyway, did you think about Alexstraza ? There are a lot of games where your life become low or your opponent's life staying at 30 in the late game.

posted a message on What's the point with Twilight Drake ?

    Hi,

Today, I was looking at some streams on twitch and seen a mysterious card played in some decks like Mirey's Warrior OTK or Mage ITB... Decks where you often have a lot of cards in hand.

    This card is Twilight Drake.

Ok so... What's the point with this card ? I admit it can be a 4/8 or 4/9 at it best but this card do nothing else. It's only a 4 attack card for 4 mana with nothing more. And if you dont have more than 5 cards in hand when you play it, it's just nothing more than a Chillwind Yeti or worse.

I think there are a lot of better cards to play. So, is there something I didn't see about this card ?

(click on it for detailed description)

This is, by far, the funniest deck I never played. I always keep it for some casual play and the mill/fatigue system always flawlessly work.

You will loose but you will have fun ;)

posted a message on This must end.

In MTG, and in CURRENT meta, there are combo who can raise your life total to 1 million with 3 cards (Reckoner+Boros Charm+Azorius Charm) and no one are complaining about it. Is it unbalanced ? No. You just have to know it. So when you see a Reckoner on board and your opponent is playing red/blue, there are chances  that the combo can be done.

In Hearthstone, that's the same. You know it, so you play right to try to not be OTK. End of story.

posted a message on The most fun deck I played so far (The Counterfeit)

    What's that deck ?
From the original idea of Kripparrian on youtube, this deck try to counterfeit the rules of the game to your advantage.

    The Counterfeit
Export to BBCode Export to Cockatrice Export to MarkDown Export to Html Clone this deck
    Minion (16) Ability (14)
    Loading Collection

The only changes done to Kripparian's one :
    -2 Big Game Hunter
    +1 King Mukla
    +1 Faceless Manipulator

    How it works ?
You can look at the video to see what it is possible to do with this deck but here is a description :

Everyone knows the "mill" mecanic of many TCG games, especially in Magic. In am not here to speak about Magic but just to resume, the objective of this kind of decks are to force your opponent to discard his library in his graveyard to kill him (because, in MTG, when you can't draw, you lose the game).

In Hearthstone, this is a bit different. First, because there is no "mill" card available atm and second, because the rules are not the same :
    - You can't have more than 10 cards in hand at any moment. So if you draw a card when you have 10, it will burn in hell (in magic, this condition is verified only at the end of the turn, so you can have 20 cards in you hand and play 13 and still not loose any cards. Also, your discarded cards are not burned. They go in graveyard and sometimes can be played)
    - If your deck is empty and you can't draw, you don't loose the game. Instead, you draw a hell card who deal you 1 damage. The next one deal 2 damage, and then 3, etc.

This deck is more oriented on the first rule and push it to his climax.
What happend if you play Coldlight Oracle when your opponent have 10 cards in hand ? You will both draw but the 2 cards of your opponent will burn instead. So, some cards who look not very good in constructed can become the most powerful ones. Look at Vanish. This card is a "tempo" card but if your opponent have 10 cards in hand, it becomes a mass destruction card !
Even better, burning a card do not trigger deathrattle ! Your opponent get back the card in hand and then, it is burned. Sylvanas Windrunner or Tirion Fordring are not big threat anymore.

    So, how to win ?
This is a fun deck. Well, an expensive fun deck but I have never seen a deck as fun as this one ! Seeing a card burning is so good for your health ! Oh my god, it's a drug ! You will love it !
This deck is my "first game after a long hard day of work". This is not a competitive deck. This is a deck to enjoy playing Hearthstone like Aishi_'s "The Druid's Force of Murloc" should be.
I admit, winning is a bit of a challenge at every game. And this will be hard as hell against weenie decks because your opponent can play all his hand very fast (but not impossible).
But this deck is far from beeing broken. You can win a lot of games. You will have plenty of cards in your hand and there are 19 cards who cost 2 or less crystals. If your hand is full, you will be able to do a lot of things to control the board and kill your opponent.
To the question "how to win", I answer "enjoy your game before thinking of winning !". Look at Kripparrian's video to see what I mean =)

    Deck's Fondamentals
Coldlight Oracle is a key for the game to become fun. Try to not waste it. So, keep Shadowstep or Youthful Brewmaster for him before he die.
You want your opponent to keep his hand. It's easy to say and hard to do but if you can keep your minions "unblastable" (like with Master of Disguise), this is better. In a normal game, you try to put a threat on the board and hope for your opponent to trade it with the more cards possible. Here not.
Try to clear the board every turn (don't waste to much cards !). If you let your opponent keep his minions, he will have trust in himself and start to play his whole hand.
Don't forget to deal damage to your opponent or your opponent will do it on you :) Remember, he will have 10 cards in hand very often so will probably be able to answer to a lot of threats.

Why did you change Kripparrian's deck ?
Because it's my deck now ;)
So, why not ? I copied Kripparrian's idea, tryed it and changed what I didn't see very usefull. I recommend you to do the same with your own ideas :)
I removed Big Game Hunter because I don't like this card (just my opinion though). If your opponent put a minion with an attack of 6, this card become a dead card (Boulderfist Ogre for example).
King Mukla can help you to burn cards from your opponent deck. For 3, it's also easy to play it two times with Shadowstep. I think that Kripparrian didn't played this card because he didn't own it when he published his video or because bananas can be very strong on some minions ? Maybe, but trust me, if you have it, play it ! It's so usefull to complete your opponent hand with cards who are not from his deck =) I already did a game where my opponent used his bananas on my minions just to get more cards from deck !
I added another Faceless Manipulator because it's very cool to have one in hand and it can do a lot of very fun things. I am so happy when I draw it. A little less when I draw two in a row ;) But you know, you can kill Ragnaros the Firelord with Big Game Hunter or you can kill Ragnaros the Firelord with Faceless Manipulator and laugh :)

Oh noes ! 3 legendaries ! I don't have them and don't want to craft them for a fun deck ! Can I enjoy it without theses cards ?
I do not promise but let see what we can do !
    King Mukla and Lorewalker Cho are so strong in this deck. They help you to fill your opponent hand and combo so well with Coldlight Oracle. But if you can only craft one of them, go for Lorewalker Cho. It can be usefull in a lot of minions decks and particulary in this one because you can fill your opponent hand for more turns. Also, it's very fun to get opponent spells as well :) Until it got silenced or hex or sheeped... ;_;
If you really can't craft any of the two, you can add a Kidnapper (but well, it's also an epic card, sorry !) and an Ancient Brewmaster. This last one is a good 4 drop but you are maybe starting to have too much "return to hand" cards in deck. Try it and give feedback here :)
Leeroy Jenkins is a lot easier to change. Kripparrian had a very good idea to play it because this deck lacks of strong direct damage cards and have plenty of ways to deal with Whelp (Novice Engineer, Defias Ringleader, your hero's weapon). So, you are looking for a good card to deal damage or trade against a strong minion... and cheap if possible because your deck don't like expensive cards. If you have Edwin VanCleef, go for it ! Assassinate can do the trick too but you can't attack your opponent with it (and you need to). Questing Adventurer can become a nice remplacement here or Twilight Drake (it can be a 4/6+ easily and good against priests because of 4 attacks) or Stranglethorn Tiger, why not.

Don't forget to look at Kripparrian's video to see what this deck can do at it best day and enjoy Hearthstone the more you can ;)

Murloc deck look easy to build because you don't have to craft the legendary. I am going to test this out and give feedback.
I never played any Murloc deck and I don't know why but my first idea would to go for a rogue deck.

    With cards like theses :

    For something like that :

    Rogue Murloc
Export to BBCode Export to Cockatrice Export to MarkDown Export to Html Clone this deck
    Minion (20) Ability (10)
