Versus agro both cards are useless
Versus midrange : you get 30% chance to get a good minion with Mindgames and you get instant board presence plus you get to play it next turn if it lives.
With Embrace Darkness you get 30% max to get the minion you've selected (if you're lucky), your opponent will likely silence it, kill it, evolve it or just kill you since you wasted 6 mana on previous turn, then if you still get the monster it will be on your next turn and this monster won't be able to attack until the next turn again.
Versus Control Mindgames gives even better results than Embrace Darkness
Mindgames is better than this card and nobody plays it. So I don't see any sense using Embrace Darkness
Well usually you want to stick to your mana curve and play minions on their time (for most of them), but in the case of this card it would be dumb to do so and the issue is that I don't see any good turn to play it except near fatigue just to avoid few turns of damages.
Kind of like Prince Malchezaar level of unplayability to me. You basically ruin your deck. To me it would best see play in a control match up near fatigue but not on turn 7
This brawl is bugged it makes the game crash on iphones everytime you touch screen during your opponent turn ! Tried with all the characters and its the same
Probably future Shaman I would say. It's a bit early to tell. Also after turn 10 it will be harder and harder versus control decks. Frost mage will be a pain also I assume.
