It's not too hard to set up a Cube with Doomguards in it and open it next turn + this card.
Edit: For clarification all you need is 2 Doomguards - not 3.
I also never stated the card to be a key card. We are speaking of a one-of card which probably doesn't work 100% of the time. Keep in mind you can do the setup up to 3 times in a match or even more if you do it with Doomsayer.
Legendaries are more often bad than they are good in arena because they typically have a very specific effect which needs the deck to be build around it. If you are very lucky it's good of course.
1. Draw your entire deck. 2. Generate spells not in your deck. 3. Reduce their cost with Leyline Manipulator. 4. Play Stargazer Luna. 5. Play your cards from right to left. 6. Take massive fatique damage. 7. ??? 8 Profit.
I am pretty confident about a deck I put together but I am sure there is something to improve about it. I really want to hear your thoughts and how you think it can become a better deck.

It has its biggest potential in Cubelock atm.

Is the card itself counting towards its own Battlecry?

Taunt Druid? Witching Hour + Naturalize + Innervate + THIS

Setting up a 10-card-hand with mage is one of the most easiest things ever. The card is strong af.

His wacky decks are everywhere and I can't take it any longer

He was talking about the cards only once in the deck.

I'd say with the mentioned effect it hadn't had a 1/1 body.
5 Mana with a 2/4 body, just like Ixlid maybe?

Wow, thanks for the information!

Here is the decklist:

clockwork automation isnt worth it.
1. you have to wait with playing him until you change your hero power
2. its very likely that your opponent has minions on his board - so hitting him face with the hero power isnt garanteed.
blackwald pixie is over all much better than clockwork automation and even then 1 copy of it is enough because of my 1st point.

I have cut Hydra out because it does poorly against for example paladin and shaman.
I have also cut the slow cards evolving around your hero power and added more early damage.
To compensate Leeroy you can keep 1 Clockwork Automaton.
