OP is 100% correct, but Blizzard is a very very greedy company that is really behind a casino gambling system called Hearthstone that is merely disguised as a strategy card game. This game has been ridiculed for years now and it's now coming to a head.

So why is Hearthstone such a joke to the community? There are very basic card game rules that should not be broken for any game of this type to be taken seriously.

    1. Exposing one player's hand to his opponent should never occur in any true strategy card game. It just makes Hearthstone more of a joke than it is.

    2. Deck trackers should not exist. If players to so stupid that they can not figure out what has been played they should be playing something else.

    3. There is already enough RNG in the game on its own - in fact well beyond reasonable standards. The current implementation of discover, add a card, copy hero powers etc just make it all the more and more ******** by the day.

Its very easy to see why this is the case when they break the very rules they supposedly implemented to make it a real game in the first place.

    • Only 2 cards of any type can be placed in a deck? (Broken by HS)
    • Only 1 copy of a legendary allowed a deck? (Broken by HS)
    • 30 health max cap for both players (Broken by HS)
    • Fatigue system to keep the game to a reasonable length (Broken by HS)
    • Cards should not discover copies of itself? (Broken over and over by HS)
    • Mana system enforced by a turn based progression? (Broken by HS over and over again)

If they didn't want to make this game a joke they would allow discover mechanics that are strictly tied to both the cost, rarity and class of the deck. And no multiples would be allowed? Why because this is all common sense game breaking stuff. But they would rather break their own "game" fundamentals by allowing players to summon 7,8,9,10 mana legendarys for 2 mana cost. Durrr, durr...OOh isn't that exciting and fun guys? come and pay for these cards this expansion only for us to nerf them days before the following expansion!

So yes exposing the opponent's hand is just one of many bad concepts rife in Hearthstone today. That's why the competitive community and streamers have been dropping support for this steaming pile of dogsh*t posing as a strategy game for years now.

     I absolutely agree! Especially:

    1. Exposing one player's hand to his opponent should never occur in any true strategy card game. It just makes Hearthstone more of a joke than it is.

But I have read some comments from certain people, they say it is intended. As much that is true, my opinion is that it is wrongly intended by Blizzard, I agree with the main topic writer, no one should look at the other players hand. It is a card game.

Put a purifier in your deck, you will encounter less wrench warriors. I don't know or can explain why but the amount of warriors I get now with matchmaking is way less then without the purifier.

My best win streak was 8, and then I think I tilted 1 time and lost around 15 in a row, went from diamond to back to 5.

Let's say you could choose your type of deck deck instead of first drawn 3 or 4 cards.

So let's say you get your opponent and according to it's class you can choose your made deck, maybe you feel like going tempo or control.

    Would that be fun?

I think this is an interesting idea.

I personally have queue'd into a match and then immediately thought about switching decks based on my opponent's class.

Of course, this is all speculation. My opponent could very well be playing a deck that counters what I am considering switching to, or I could still be making the correct choice.

By having the freedom to switch like this, doesn't it encourage people to make multiple decks for each class and experiment with options that they may not normally think of? People might come up with new types of decks for a class we have never seen before in the attempt to have a better chance at an otherwise unfavorable class match up. This would add another layer to the player's choices, similar to how we can mulligan for cards in the beginning.

Obviously, this does not make it easier for F2P players who have a smaller collection, but other than that, this seems neat.

     Thanks for your support bro!

So whoever chooses second gets a massive advantage over the opponent?
    How is that fair?

I assume both players get presented with the other's class and get to choose their deck with that information. It would be level playing field in that regard.

I'd still dislike the idea though.

MOst classes only have 1 truly good ladder deck at a time, so it would become far easier to counter pick based on class. That would give quite an extensive benefit to players with bigger collections and more decks they can build and keep ready.

So, I wouldn;t like it, unless it was a specific separate game mode, where people could opt to play this way.

No I think it wouldn't, MMR is always running in the background. This means you will get a more skill based battle instead of what is now, with 4 mana it can be game over because of wrong deck. Surely a 4 mana game isn't what we want.

What you don't seem to understand is that some decks will always counter each other.  This is how people make decks sometimes; they lose against some druid deck and make a deck that will punish it. Your idea is like saying: lets make all classes equal. Not going to happen.

How on earth is that me saying let's make everything equal? I am saying that what is now is not so good either, sometimes a game is over within 4 mana or I get opponents who immediatly concede, this is something what I do too. I am just suggesting something that might make the game better or maybe not. Since when is suggesting something new forbidden? No need to flame someone for suggesting something.

Is there any chance they can have 3 cages in the ring, have one where they got to climb all the way to the top of the second cage, and the 3rd cage to get the WWE Championship Belt. Have another Buried alive match, that would be awesome, where the opponent has to bury his victim in the ground.

Omg you are so funneh, you should be on stage!

bruv the deck is more powerful then ever. blizz need to nerf murlocs srs cuz bruv peace out.

I think you understood me wrong, he had no chance of winning, meaning he lost terribly. At 6 mana or so, I am a control, big spell mage, that says something about how bad the deck is.

posted a message on RNG strangeness

First of all people please this is no salt thread, just asking around, just looking for opinions of other players.
There is this feeling(feelings are not based on facts I know) Like if sometimes the RNG gods just don't like you? You're the scissors but you get rock for some amount of time.

I am not sure but after a good 3 maybe 4 game winning row it feels like a switch is turned on and you are bound with a 10 game loosing spree. The devolving missiles start hitting the same target 3x out of 4 targets. Or you swap all 4 cards and get exactly the same 4 cards back. (This card swapping I wanted to investigate deeper, this post is about this actually)

I understand the math behind missiles, yes it can happen, sometimes 1/6, sometimes 1/16, still those odds are still low. (If you are unlucky yeah then you are unlucky, no harm done here)

But never mind that, I went way out of my head so I checked my last 200 games at HS replay. 15 of them I have chosen to replace all my cards, of these 15 games for 3 of them I got exactly the same cards back. So that makes it 1/5 for my personal experience.
Let's say I have every card 2 times (I don't but for the sake of it) so the chance of drawing the first same card is 1/15, the second card is 1/14,5, third card 1/14 and the last 1/13,5.

The odds of it happening should be lower then what I have experienced last 200 games which is 1/5. I wanted to hear from other peeps what their experience is. Please share.

    Build your own decks...

Really? There are 0.01% who do build their own decks and the rest netdeck, and those 0.01% don't complain, we tech our decks better.

    And besides, this

Yeah, it's one of the benefits of playing a computer TCG.

In mtg you couldn't do it, which is why I love HS shenanigans, with all its faults.

     No.

I only play my decks and test of lot of stuff. Even though I abhor braindead combo decks like anything druid does, crap like mindrender is stupid and cards like mind vision/Madam Lazul piss me off. Not just before they get a card, they get to know whats in my hand..wtf?!

But I havent felt this game had any decent kind of balance since Old Gods lol and definitely all gone to shit since boomsday.

I totally agree, I don't want my opponent to see my hand.....

That is not what I said, I underlined when I said this is my opinion. Some feel the same and some don't, fine. I still don't think that a different player should see my hand. I simply don't like this mechanic, the priest should have his own class deck. Some agree and some don't.....

I don't believe those mechanics are suitable for a card game. My hand and my deck is for me and me only, it shouldn't be that someone can play a card and play my hand?

    Build your own deck....

Again this is my opinion, maybe a lot will not agree.

As an addition, I am also against that someone can look at your 3 cards and choose one, especially when I have only 3 cards in my hand. I am sure everyone has around 50% winrate due to these mechanics, and all is tit for that but I sincerely think looking at someone elses cards or changing deck's can easily be replaced by something more effective and a better game experience for all.
