If you can get every card for free why would you pay for them ? I don't understand your dilemma. If I had this amount of dust and a good chunk of gold I would never spend money anymore on the game
I have 0 gold and 0 dust and i'm still not going to buy the expension
Why do people evaluate and compare these to past cards that aren't even remotely identical. Sylvanas didn't draw cards. Sylvanas couldn't double kill/deal 5 to face (your hero gains +5 attack). Sylvanas didnt gain armor.
It's like in the thread for the Paladin one people comparing the pally titan to Cariel.
They are not even remotely the same thing..........
He is just comparing the overall power level of these cards that share some similarities in design, a body that can remove an opponent's body for 6 mana.
And he is right, Sylvanas has similar power level, which is mostly decent, sometimes mediocre, occasionally good and rarely incredible. But she is a neutral, not an expansion defining class card.
Why would you compare 2 identical cards anyway, what insight would you even gain from it, that's not the point of a comparison.
Meh, I was hoping one of the abilities would involve hand buffing since the cards (and warrior design philosophy at the moment) seems clearly fit for it, this is such a low impact card without this, and you're pretty much forced to go with the armor ability first if you wan it to survive multiple turns
It not having 2 attack feels really weird especially for the pacified ability..
But as a combo piece with the reinforced ability I really like it.
Empowered is really bad for the cost imo, 7 mana +2/+2 to all other minions while wasting a slot on the board, there are cards from 2015 era that do the same or better. But it can sometimes give you lethal so not useless I guess.
Big paladin for sure (edit : actually no I'm stupid because reducing your high cost minions to 2 mana 2/2 is a bad idea because they are not battlecry minions they need their stats), pure paladin maybe, this can even have its own combo archetype given the right tools but definitely not all paladin decks will want to use this.
I don't feel like it affects me since I play since beta and keep most cards except the unplayable or overcrept ones. I'm not sure "predatory" is the right word you're not forced to play the mode, if you're new to the game then you have to collect cards anyway and if you're a veteran player who doesn't keep rotated cards then it was your choice, and Twist is still less expensive than full on Wild mode for people who wanna get into it from scratch.
I don't really see why rotated cards should cost less to craft than standard cards, they're actually more valuable since they're playable in more game modes. Just because we all conventionally agree that "standard is the main game mode" doesn't mean standard cards are worth more.
By the way, you should boycott Twist because it's boring and the second worst game mode after Mercenaries, don't need more reason. (With current rule set at least, maybe this will get interesting in a month or two, but if this follows the tavern brawl algorithm of fun then most Twist months will suck)
But yeah maybe you're right. I'm skeptical, we'll see soon. The random 6 mana taunt lifesteal is honestly not as bad as I previously thought considering the 3/10 body that can do more things in later turns. it's decent against aggro.
So each ability is essentially 3 damage + a minor effect like draw a card, summon a 3/3 or deal 2 more damage, assuming the opponent has no weapon removal. For 6 mana and a low impact body on board.
Seems... weirdly bad to be honest.
I know it's not the same class and very different in many ways but, Outrider's Axe exists...
I guess for hunter the +2 damage isn't that bad, that's potentially 15 face damage in 3 turns
so druid get a 5/5 taunt and priest gets discover a legendary , seems quite unfair unless im missing something ? Then again its hearthstone , not once has a mechanic that goes into all class been fair (colossal , quests , heroes)
Can you read and understand basic game mechanics ?
The 5/5 taunt goes on the board. The random legendary goes in your hand. The 5/5 is so much better. Then again it's hearthpwn, why would I expect anyone here to have an enlightened opinion
You are also missing that the druid titan's abilities are so much stronger and game winning than aman'thul, 2 out of 3 of its abilities are heavily conditional and overall very weak for the 7 mana cost, the third is purely random and overall garbage as well. Edit : ok the third one isn't GARBAGE because it gains taunt and lifesteal, that's ok tempo for 7 mana.
If this sees play in control priest is because any value card is playable in control priest, but even then it's a very low impact and slow value generator, with extremely unreliable tempo components.
2 Stars would not play in any deck. Downvote away, democracy. I could be wrong of course, only time will tell. And bronze hearthpwn players.
Did you at least get the cards in your collection permanently ? If yes it's an ok deal considering you get 4 playable legendaries including the strongest card in the game imo and the other 26 cards are all very good in their respective archetype (in the context of HS economy of course, i'm not saying it's a good deal in life in general, $20 is worth more than the entire game.)
If not.... what a joke. I seriously think everyone who paid for this deck should be refunded. It's literal scam to make people pay money for anti-synergistic decks.
When the F does Twist release ? Been almost a week now, there's already a meta, already broken decks running rampant, what am I supposed to do with this ?
Sounded fun at first but now... I'm already bored and I haven't played it yet. Seems like they took the worst of standard and the worst of wild, and made it a game mode.
Yeah sure nobody played classic. But nobody will play this either. Standard/Wild are just better experiences, doesn't matter what "fun" rule they introduce like no neutral, it will just make more apparent how unbalanced the classes are. And if you're looking for something different Duels and Tavern brawls are just better designed. There is 0 effort put into Twist. "hey let's take Wild, remove half the sets and all the neutrals hiding the huge inbalances between classes, and call it a game mode"
Yes I know the "fun" rule will change every month. And it will suck every month.

By securing a win before turn 9 like they always did

I'm not even sure the abilities work without the battlecry

There's like 7 people on all of Hearthpwn i'm not sure it's the right place to gather a large group lol

Yeah well... Unless they unnerf Renathal..

Yeah and there's a difference between three 0 mana random legendaries from any class and one realistically) full price legendary from priest/neutral
Legendaries don't have too much of an impact. 0 mana does.

Reason number 1 it's a bad card, do you want another one ?
