But they might be a little too complicated for a simple game engine used by Hearthstone.
Yes, I thought about it too, but I don't think alternate Hero Poses or outfits are hard to make. As for animations - yes, Unity might not be suited for this kind of stuff, but still - if they want to evolve this game someday - it would be cool to finally have animated heroes.
I always liked the idea of decks with some kind of theme behind them be it Stormwind Paladin, Pirate Rogue etc. But there is a problem which prevents me to fully enjoy that experience (besides making a theme deck that actually works) - my hero is always the same. Why can't I get a Pirate Valeera, Valeera the Burgle or Dalaran Mage? These could be either like alternate Hero Portraits or just modifications to existing portraits (changing outfits). This helps to make each game unique in some way besides actually playing. And it could be an important immersion element, something I feel Blizzard lost with Wotog.
Also, I'm not sure if this is possible but hero attack animations would actually be cool if Jaina actually attacked with her staff and Garrosh threatened with with his fist to crush you. We all love Hearthstone for it's visuals, but there is lot of potential waiting to be opened.
I made this post because Blizzard cares too much about printing new cards and not so much about what's going on around these cards, which actually can make game more fun.
After 2 days of trying to get rank 5 with various Rogue decks I got tired of having my face wrecked in 4-5 turns by Pirate Warriors. Heals tech don't help. So I had to try this deck as I don't have many legendaries for heavy control. Got rank 5 the next day. I replaced Frostwolf and Reckless with Leeroy and Nesting Roc. Only had 1 Living Mana and no pirates. No Patches (won't craft that ugly card), but this card is insane in powerlevel, so if you have it - it's even easier.
I'm stuck at rank 7-8, can't win with this deck at all. Too simple. No draw to win against control. Lost even to midrange Hunter because of that. I have only 1 Shadow Visions, replaced second with PW: Shield.
Seems balanced. I won 1 with Nefarian and 2 with Rag. It really depends if you can get good cards from Nefarian hero power. And with Rag just get 8/8 online and try to find board clear.
I'm not sure who you're playing against. I went on 1-7 lose streak on rank 13-14. And I'm golden Hunter player, got that playing various Midranges. Hunter is pure shit now.
With time I'm as non-donating player (stopped doing it because of Blizzard greed) discovered that with every new expansion my ability to netdeck was reduced greatly.. Too many missing cards. Better to build my own deck. Also lately I'm not able to use other people's decks to their full potential, I win more often with my own (worse) decks.

N'zoth First Mate + Patches -> Coin + Bloodsail Corsair -> Bloodsail Corsair -> 4 mana 6/8. Get rekt Bog Creeper!
But I actually like Fiery Axe option more, cause it let's you have 4 mana 7/6 without overload! Yay! PW definitely needed this to be in better shape

So they finally decided that Control Hunter can exist. And Rogue can have a heal (lifesteal weapon). Guess Blizz can admit their mistakes sometimes.

Draft silence. And please close this thread.

Why are they making diving shields theme for undead Paladin? Makes no sense.

So, when is the next free arena run? I have unfinished arena and wonder if it will nullify the new one.
