After many months, I finally took the time to reach legend again, using this deck (sadly didn't have a decktracker on most of the time). Just a few impressions of mine:
- The meta at the moment I went for legend consisted of mostly Shaman, and most of them were MidRange-ish. Zoo was somewhat prevalent as well. Later on, around rank 3, Midrange Hunter suddenly started appearing a lot more as well. Least seen classes were Mage and Druid (Mage a lot less than Mruid though).
- In terms of Matchups (I don't have exact stats to back up these conclusions though), I think most decks are at least a 50/50. A few that felt a lot better than this were Zoo (double brawl is typically too much), any C'thun deck (mostly Warrior and Priest, just make sure you keep your Sylvanas to steal the C'Thun, and you almost always win) and Priests without double Entomb. Shaman is quite beatable as well, although they will occasionally just have the perfect unbeatable draw. Miracle Rogue and Tempo Warrior are good Matchups as well, though if they're starting to get board control, you're gonna need a brawl.
- When talking about bad matchups, my nr.1 spot has to go to N'Zoth Paly. The only way to win this, if you ask me, is drawing your Sylvanas, and stealing their Tyrion. If you actually encounter the greedy version (with twilight summoner and harvest golem), just pray that the last card in their deck is N'Zoth. Midrange Hunter seems to have a slightly favourable Matchup as well, although this one is a lot easier than against the Paladin. Finally, N'Zoth Priest with double Entomb, just like N'Zoth Paly, simply out-controls you.
- In terms of most important cards, my top three would be (in no particular order): Justicar, Harrisson and Gorehowl. Justicar is a MUST in the meta, there are too many shamans, and once you have stabilized the board, you need to get out of burst range, and fast. Also, you will lose against other CW's and Priests. Harrisson is obvious, I think, but almost irreplacable. The carddraw you get, especially when you hit a doomhammer, often outright wins you the game. Finally, Gorehowl. This card is just insane, able to deal with basically anything. Thanks to Justicar, it can also be used against Shaman and Hunter.
- Finally, on the topic of switching cards. Double revenge is a lot better than double ravaging ghoul, I feel. The way I see it, Ghoul is a ping, Revenge is a boardclear. Currently, with all the shamans, boardclears are a lot better than pings (also note that it manages to kill wolves). Ragnaros, too, I would never want to replace. While it's typically dead against real aggro, it's fine against MidRange, which is a lot more prevalent right now. Against control, it is straight up a broken card, able to go 2 for 1 easily, often more than that.
Just my two cents, this turned out a bit longer than I was planning on, but I hope it's of some help. If anyone has any further questions, please ask.
