posted a message on What to do with Golden Boom?
    Quote from Ogobum jump

Boom was voted card most likely to be nerfed in high school.  Only a fool would risk 1600 dust, especially if they don't need a legend to fill out a deck.

I'm too lazy to find it, but there was a direct quote from one of the HS developers (Ben Brode himself, I believe), saying that Blizzard does not plan to nerf Boom. Given how little they actually nerf cards, I wouldn't be surpirsed if they at least wait for another expansion to see if they can "nerf" him by adding new cards that can use the 7 slot. Remember how Loatheb was spammed everywhere and people wanted nerfs? Now he's just another good card that gets run in some decks. The same will probably happen to Boom, so waiting for him to be nerfed in most likely a waste of time.

I'd recommend Ragnaros normally, but if you really want to play Handlock (Which I'm guessing you do judging by your sig), I'd say make Jaraxxus. That card alone will win you some matchups.

posted a message on So, what do you guys think of Acolyte of Pain in Priest?

I've tested Velen's Chosen, which is why I mentioned it, but I'm not entirely sold on it either. I admit, it has become an issue that I draw a million cards, but then have no actual win condition...I've been considering crafting Mountain Giants, because with Acolyte and Cleric you can get ludicrous hand sizes. Or maybe actually getting a Velen and trying to draw into a kill combo.

posted a message on Group therapy! Need to blow off steam? Mega salty? Here is the place!

This argument again? Here's why there are so many aggro decks on ladder:

    1. They're cheaper to build, so more people have them

    2. They're easier to play than other decks (but all of them, even Face Hunter, do require skill. Otherwise there'd be a hell of a lot more Legend players).

    3. Because of the simple ladder system, playing aggro decks that have fast games lets you rank up faster, because you can't gain more rank for winning longer games.

    4. As a side note, if all you're facing is aggro, you should tech more anti-aggro stuff in the deck you're using and get free wins instead of coming here to complain.

    Any questions?

'Cause I'm pretty sure it's awesome. The amount of draw you can get with Acolyte+Cleric is insane, especially with PW: Shield and Velen's Chosen to buff the Acolyte up. It's got synergy with Pyro too, which is nice.

I'd personally DE it, because it's a giant waste of an epic slot. It's brothers are good, but I just can't sea any real use for this one. If I had a copy, I'd just ship it off. It's never gonna be anchoring your deck or anything. There was only one time when a guy told me it was good, and that just seemed fishy.

...OK, I'm done now. I'll stop barraging this thread with waves of puns.

posted a message on What's your motivation on keeping playing this game?
    Quote from Althris »

    1. It's a fun game, I genuinely enjoy playing other people in it.

    2. Building decks is an interesting challenge.  It's always great finding unusual combinations that work well.  There are many cards I do not have as well, so I have to create decks with what I have.

    3. Collecting cards.  Not having all of the cards makes opening a new deck exciting every time.

    4. Arena.  Sometimes RNG is rough and sometimes it's great, but it's always fun to see how well I can do.

I totally agree with 1, 3, and 4. Not so much 2, because I don't really experiment with decks much. But I do love just playing the game (and winning it), and I also love opening packs and seeing what cool stuff I get. Even watching other people open packs and seeing what cool stuff THEY get.

posted a message on Least favorite class?

    Hunter.

I played the game for 3-4 months before I even bothered getting Hunter to level 10, and that was only because I found out I'd get 100 gold for leveling all classes to 10. He just doesn't have any class cards I find to be actually cool, except for Animal Companion. I've never particularly enjoyed playing it even when I did.

posted a message on King Krush and Gladiator's Longbow?

Is King Krush even usable? Leeroy+Hero power is the same amount of face damage for 3 less mana, and Hunters have Mark and other removal to deal with big minions. I can't really see any point to Krush, except that he's a friggin' T-Rex and his entrance sound is awesome.

    - Less whinning from everyone that doesn't want to change their playstyle and want half of the cards nerfed for all the stupid reasons of this world.

Get people on the internet to stop whining? That ain't happening, mate.

    - A tournament mode would be actually pretty fine, where you could get some rewards like more gold or some decks, a bit like arena. Any player puts 100g to enter, 8 players enter, winner takes 800g, something like that.

    Maybe some stuff for the top 3 or 4...something like 400g 1st place, 200g 2nd, 100g each 3rd/4th?

    - Auto squelch yes

    - More card releases, on a shorter time basis

    - decks with 40 cards!

That would be a massive change...I don't know about that. You'd have to be allowed to run 3 of a card, at least.

posted a message on Can someone explain to me why taunt versions of Druid of the Claw and Ancient of War behave differently when silenced?

^ It's not that big of a deal, the issue is just that it makes no sense that they're different at all. Obviously once you learn how it works it's ok, it just seems irrational that they act differently despite being worded the same. IMO, Druid should read:

Choose one: Become a 4/4 panther with Charge or a 4/6 bear with Taunt.

    ...Or something like that.

The thing I really want spectator-wise would be to be able to watch friends play, as well as top players. I'd like to able to see what my friends are up to, and of course laugh at them when they lose :3
