Why does this card seem more powerful than at first glance. A 2 drop beast with an offensive stat line, that you wont mind drawing mid-late game.. Buff Savannah Highmane with windfury or divine shield oh god...
how the hell is this card remotely OP? you have to first, have at least 7 1 drops in your deck, which is already too many. (unless you play Fire fly... but cmon) what happens if u draw a card from your deck thats not a raptor? then you are stuck
You can put like 20 1-Drops in a deck and also, if you don't draw a Raptor, who cares? You still have tons of them in your deck for next turn.
20 1 drops in your deck? do you know how bad that is? if you are going first you cant play carnassa until turn 6 at best. Who cares? Assuming you are alive come turn 6, when you play a 1 drop and ping face on turn 7, you when you realize you have no steam in your deck.
Filling your board with 3/2 every turn sounds nice, until they play a taunt, or a board clear (warrior, rogue, mage, warlock, priest, paladin and shaman all can easily dispose of small numerous minions.) and you can only fill up your board twice since 15 raptors, then you are top decking 1 drops again on turn 8+.
Hunters problem was a lack of recovery mechanics, strong taunts/board clears, lack of a good 5 drop and always running out of steam around turn 7. this card only puts a bandaid on it until turn 9
People say you can play this card is ok because you can play it on turn 6 or 7 with your 1 drops.
Because hunter doesnt have ANY better options to play on 6 or 7.
**cough....savannah highmane...cough**
Savannah Highmane doesn't get me closer to cantrips attached to Raptor bodies, or a 5 mana 8/8 beast. This card does. So in that sense it's absolutely better than Savannah Highmane on 6 or 7.
And like I pointed out earlier, you can't play Savannah Highmane on 5. Whether Highmane is a better play on 6 is debatable, but without pulling some shenanigans you're always going to be able to play this guy sooner and put it into a slot that Hunter really doesn't have very good options in.
You cannot play carnassa on 5 unless you are going second, or unless hunter gets some 1 drops that draw cards, which is unlikely. Going first turn 4 you have only drawn a total of 6 cards, and assuming all are 1 drops, the bst case is to play this on turn 6. What is better, playing a 1 drop, a 2 drop, a 3 drop etc. all on curve then dropping a highmane, or playing nothing but 1 drops turns 1-4 and skipping ur 5th turn to play carnassa on 6.

Hunter likes to play around 6 1 drops, and at least 1 of them are tracking, this card is garbage.
Lets pretend your entire deck is 1 drops. Great, but once you run out of steam, the all you are doing is top decking 1 drops, and if you dont draw a raptor (because the rest of your deck is 1 drop) then you are fucked.
