This is a good deck in its own right. Be warned its fairly difficult to pilot. The card draw is pretty consistent. Though it can be sluggish if you don't draw into Gadget or you haven't played Tomb Pillagers for the Coin. I have been able to reliably win with Gadgetzan under conceal. Another strong card is the tried and true Edwin VanCleef. He can win you games on his own because people aren't running a lot of silence and they burned their removal on your other minions.

Xaril is really good in this deck. The toxins are stellar for drawing through your deck especially the one that gives +3 attack. The shadowstep toxin is also good since you can use it for a heal or draw or another SI:7 ability. I dropped shadowcaster for the black knight since I've only run into druids of late.

Yogg should only be dropped if you're losing or about to lose. He can either win you the game, place you in a better position, or destroy you. Either option is fine since you were going to lose anyway. Might as well let Yogg decide.

It's a miracle deck. You place Gadgetzan under conceal. You then draw lots of cards and place cold blood on gadget. This is how you will win 9 times out of ten. The other 1 out of ten belongs to Yogg. He's your comeback mechanic if you're on the ropes.

Super expensive deck. I happened to have all the legendaries and luckily got Xaril as well and I must say, this deck really does perform. It's the best iteration of Deathrattle Rogue by a long shot. This deck has two major weaknesses. Aggro, obviously, and it's inability to recover from behind. Dark Iron Skulker and spellpower'd Fan of Knives can help, but once tempo is lost it's difficult to recover.

Overall, this deck is incredibly fun to play and I have a high win-rate with it. Undercity Huckster is really solid in this deck. It's simply a better Nerubian Egg because Rogue lacked activators and Huckster gives you card draw. The cards from Huckster can be hit or miss, but even if you get something like Totemic Might, you can use it as a combo activator at the very least.

I rarely have bad draws with this deck. My hand is usually 5-6 cards deep, maybe more if I get lucky with Xaril, and N'Zoth is what completes the deck. Without him you'd have no win-condition if all your value plays get stuffed. N'Zoth is your comeback card and he's a decent counter versus C'thun provided you played N'Zoth first.

Shadowcaster is either you'll love it or hate it. On one hand it synergizes with this entire deck. People are reluctant to kill stuff like Sylvanas if they lack an answer. You'll hate Shadowcaster when it's basically a dead card much like the raptor can be at times. Twilight Summoner is pretty good since silence isn't prevalent now, but it's sucky versus aggro since they'll just ignore it.

All in all, great deck if you can afford it. You can probably sub out Edwin and Xaril with Tomb Pillagers. These guys are pretty weak since the coin isn't as powerful like it is in Miracle, but getting your Cairne or Sylvanas out a turn earlier is always nice. For Bloodmage, another Loot Horder for the synergies. Not sure about replacements for Cairne, Sylvanas, and N'Zoth. N'Zoth feels mandatory for me, but I suppose you could run it like LoE version of deathrattle Rogue.

posted a message on why do you like randomness?

Randomness is entertainment in Hearthstone. Blizzard knows this, which is why they're always going to make absurd amounts of RNG cards. RNG is why Trolden is so popular. Same goes for streamers who stick to arena. There's just something appealing about the uncertainty of it all.

    Quote from Bousi >>

I'm just wondering why every Rogue card always has such bad stats when compared to other classes...

Rogues get 3/2 Xaril, Poisoned Mind

    Druids get 3/5 Fandral Staghelm

And for one extra mana, Hunters get a 6/5 body Princess Huhuran

I mean... the combo effects are good, OK, but Rogue minion bodies are so WEAK all the time... Xaril can be killed by any 1-drop !

You can play Xaril on turn 4. You rarely play Fandral or Princess on turn 4 and 5 respectively. I mean it's possible in the lower ranks I suppose, but those legendaries can be rather clunky. Xaril you just play and forget. Since he's versatile, he takes a stats hit. Pretty sensible.

Wouldn't spare parts do the same job?

Let me answer your question with another question. How would Rogues get spare parts in Standard?

Right, I should have been more precise with my question. Spare parts are a thing right now, but Malygod rogue is still not viable in the meta.

How would that change in Standard?

This comes from the fact that Malygos Rogue is the best Rogue deck for laddering right now. It doesn't change much at all come standard. The decks better than it are going to be much weaker. So people are speculating that Malygos Rogue will be a strong deck in standard. Until something is done with Face Hunter or Aggro Shaman, I don't think it'll be a top contender.

Is Fan of Knives still going to be viable come standard? It's use in the current meta was to remove tokens and such. But since a lot of the token things are leaving standard is there a reason to run Fan of Knives?

Everyone is talking about malyrogue, or combo rogue, but neither of those decks are not played on ladder right now. It is possible that those decks might be played in standard but is is by no means a grantee. The thing about maly rogue is you loss tempo by playing this card, and then you lose it again when you play a gadgetzan auctioneer. You also most remember that you do have to pay extra mana for the cards you get, the cards are random with some have much better effects than others, and the second card comes a bit latter with a death rattle. So while the mana costs are split up making it less of an issue, you have to pay 6 mana to use both the cards and the body.

Maly Rogue and Oil Rogue are the only viable decks right now. So yeah, they're played on ladder. Rogue in general is not that popular right now. The interesting part is that a lot of decks are going to be gone with the shift to standard, but Maly Rogue won't take a hit. It will when Blizz nerfs Rogue basic cards, but we don't know what cards they're going to nerf.
In total, yeah the card is a six mana play. But it's not like you have to use the cards right away. It's on you to pick the right moment to use them. That's why I think this legendary is interesting. You will need to plan ahead and consider how you're going to take tempo back once you've lost it. Rogue has a lot of cards that can do that.

posted a message on Rogue Legendary Card Reveal - Xaril, Poisoned Mind

I think this card could be good. If a Rogue goes first, turns 1-5 are pretty rough without Backstab or Deadly Poison to enable combos. This card does come a bit late in that regard. It also causes you to lose tempo sorta if it's played on turn 4, it can enable a lot of combos once it dies though. Firebloom seems like it will be the strongest Toxin to recoup any loss of tempo. That plus SI:7 and you've potentially flipped the game back in your favor.

So to me this card is pretty good. It seems to be fairly strong in Miracle thanks to having Tomb Pillager to play along side it. It will be interesting to see how Miracle chances once the expansion hits.

There is a point actually. . The purpose of the votes is to determine the order in which they're revealed. But yeah, it would have been nice if they provided more info on the card other than the art. I guess that adds to the surprise factor.

What's the point? Why not do the exact same thing, but without the name of the "famous" dude? The only thing this is doing is validating people people with low self esteem. And where's the surprise factor, anyone ever on this site think that Kripparian will not win this? So pointless, just go into twitch and check which streamers that got most viewers and there you got the order. So no, there's no point actually. None at all, under any circumstances whatsoever.
By surprise factor I'm referring to the fact that the cards don't specify minion, spell, class, or neutral card. We don't know what it is aside from the art. Thus surprise factor. It doesn't matter if Kripp or whoever wins. The cards will be revealed within the week. We're just picking the order. The point of this whole thing is to get the community involved in a different way than they did last time. We're still just picking cards Blizzard was going to reveal anyway.
