I replied in another thread, but for me, the game is just broken and/or unfun now. I tend to enjoy more control sort of gameplay, but it just doesn't work anymore.
The decks I face on ladder...
Sif Mage (Discover bonanza then OTK), Tendril Reno Warrrior (shitshow, but arguably one of the fairer decks), Odin Warrior (basically OTK), Wheel Lock (super fun /s), DH - Window shopper - dead by turn 5/6, Token Hunter - dead by turn 5/6, Giant Rogue - dead by turn 5/6, Spell druid (OTK), Plague DK - inevitable unavoidable death as control, Shaman (OTK - not as popular since the nerf), Paladin - don't see much paladin these days, Priest - dragon OTK.
Everything in this game now is about excessive mana cheating or killing your opponent in one turn with no interaction. There are so many broken cards and combos that I just dont see how you can fix it at this point. For me it's not about it a particular deck being overpowered. There will always be a best deck. For me it's about the only types of deck that are viable.
I don't want to play a game where I know I've lost the second I see what class my opponent is, but that's the state we're in now. I can flip coins if I wanted to play that sort of game...
This is pretty much exactly how I feel. Even if they "nerf" the top tier decks, there's just too many fundamental design problems that the next deck up will be just as oppressive. I saw someone post a pretty good point and compare it to rock paper scissors. Certain decks have no chance against particular ones due to the recent card design; ie control vs wheel.
It seems like everyday most of the community is getting more fed up as well. The weekly games on HS replay has gone from about 10 million to about 8 million in the past week and a half.
Ultimately it's up to Blizzard though. I'm sure they have their numbers and plenty of feedback. As I mentioned originally, I think we'll need a mass reworking of many cards. Unfortunately, I don't think Blizzard will do something like this.
In my opinion, HS has been going downhill at light speed for a while now.
I think Blizzard has finally created a state where the game is basically unfixable. There are way too many fundamental problems with the game at this point. We would need straight up card changes on a scale which has never been seen to get remotely back to older Hearthstone.
Personally I've quit altogether. (I was on my last leg when the mini set came out)
With that said, I still like to keep up with the news and see what the community is up to.
I'm just curious where others are at. Has this been the final nail in the coffin for many of you like it has been me? Do you think Hearthstone has hit an irrepairable state? Are you playing significantly less? Maybe you still enjoy it?
I'm all about trying to find new cool decks, but man this deck seems all over the place lol. The amount of garbage your running for "chances" at super niche combos is incredibly high.
On top of that you are running purely big minions, reno, and renathal. I have no idea how you survive against anything remotely aggressive. I know this deck isn't beating warrior either since it's a priest deck, and the small chances priest have at beating warrior through Dirty Rats or Theotar don't exist here.
Idk what this beats tbh. High roll an on curve Elise/Thunderbringer or bust?
Who is the genius that made that 3 mana bullshit that you can get from RNG and put it in the same game as this 7 mana card with a big requirement? Fire his ass, ty.
To infuse quickly. Swarm of Lightbugs makes tons of bodies, and you can hold on to the bottle to quickly infuse later when you draw a Devourer or Famished Fool later in the game.
This guy played about 10 anachronos and 10 muscle-o-trons.... how is this possible? It was a reno deck. Is mirage bugged or something?
*I watched the rep again, i guess he just got super lucky and only had a few minions in his deck left. I initially thought mirage turned into spells too.
So far I'm 3-10 with this deck, and 2 of those wins were against afk opponents. Not sure how you're so successful, but I never find consistent answers to anything my opponent does.
That's really surprising to me. I took at look at your post history, maybe you struggle with control decks? I'm 29-8 currently, with druid giving me the most trouble (still slightly above 50%).
IDK man, 1-10 is pretty wild though. Thanks for giving it a shot. I hope you find something that works for you.

What a waste of everyone's time.

I mean, any REAL control deck is doomed unless they nerf Brann, regardless of the class.
*and by nerf I mean change completely

Brann should have never been made.

High roll on that Dirty Rat or bust.
I'm curious what other peoples thoughts are so far with this expansion. There's a LOT of gg cards you can't interact with and it feels miserable.
