That only happens with HoF rotations. You can't earn dust by crafting with nerfs.
You did not lose anything, though. Just DE it while you can.

So you people just choose to willingly ignore every post about warlock and Rez priest being tier 1 control decks?
No response? Nothing?
I guess they have even less IQ than average Hunter players from 2016 LOL ;)
They talk about 'thinking about plays' all the time but can't comprehend simple things like what actually makes a control archetype.
And notice how still no response. Nothing. Someone will post in about 5 minutes saying "yup control is dead" and not even acknowledge it because we are not part of their echo chamber.
Oh I know right? Somehow longer games=more brain power, even though control decks arguably take less skill than aggro.
Playing arcane intellect and freezing a board to avoid dying or stacking armor and casting brawl to avoid dying is not a skill based thing at all lol. Control decks take more skill when played against other control decks, like resource management for the long game. But against aggro, the control deck is easier to play than the aggro deck because they don't have to worry about managing resources like in fatigue matchups.
Facts! Agree with this completely. Yet still takes the control player till rope to figure out I should sweep the board. I enjoy decks on both archetypes but both require more skill against different matchups. Being the control player does not mean your just the more skilled player.
People just seem to have this weird idea that just because there is a difference in objective (kill them going face vs. outlast their resources) that there is this huge skill gap tilted towards the control player, but here's the thing...
Managing resources is far more difficult than not having too, which makes the matchup harder for the aggro player than the control player. People WAY over exaggerate the "duh all go face" mentality. No deck, outside of an absolute aggro hunter, does this. In most situations, the aggro player must decide whether or not they can afford to skip an ideal trade in exchange for dealing face damage.
With this, there are both payoffs and drawbacks. If you ignore board to go face, and they have a good response, they can blow you out and you'll never get the board back. However, if you trade too much, you will lose in the late game as you won't be able to close it out and they will have far more value than yourself.
All the control player must do in this matchup is stay alive. They don't have to manage any resources because they will not run out of them before the aggro player. Now, this doesn't mean recklessly throwing your aoe away on boards that don't warrant it, but a warrior shield slamming a flame imp is often the right play. The goal for the control player of staying alive is more linear than the aggro players goal of killing the enemy player before they gas out.
But you will never be able to convince most of the people that hate aggro, because they play greedy, heavy decks with fun flashy cards, and aggro decks hinder those cards and often result in them not being played.
On a final note, control decks certainly take skill too. Control vs. control matchups are actually some of the highest skill based matchups in the game, because every single move you make matters. And value is king in these matchups. However, in aggro vs. control, aggro has a harder job and has to be more mindful of their plays than the control player. But again, aggro ain't flashy, it just fights for board and pushes damage.

Roadie posted a message on Am I bad or just inexperienced?Posted in: General DiscussionYou can't get good at this game though.
You are either lucky or not. there is nothing else to it.Luck has certainly taken over as the primary(if the only) indicator of how it goes. The game has added WAY too many cards and mechanics that by their very nature strip away any "skill" or strategy that you may want to deploy. With seemingly unlimited discovery cards that spawn more discovery cards, classes having tons of access to cards outside of their own class, Bail-me-out crap like Zephyrs, Lackeys, etc, etc, you'd have to be a fool to think you can "play around" impossible to "know" situations. Only a sucker would buy into that.
Back when the game wasnt all luck & gimmicks it DID require some thought and you could actually make plays that seemed to effect the game, good or bad. You could calculate that your opponent only could hold 1-2 of a certain card or just ONE of a legendary card. You could strategically try to play around board clears. You had to use removal wisely. You didnt have to worry about awful crap like Hunter pulling a Tirion or Rogue conveniently having access to flamestrike. Its never ending and stupid. No skill. No nothing. Roll dice and hope it pans out.
Those reaching legend are simply abusing these broken decks/mechanics and sure, maybe 1% of your decisions *matter* but Id even question that. You used to be able to play many different decks and still feel like you had a chance to compete. Now? Nah - you choose between a few obnoxious decks and join the casino. Fun and interactive. At least Ive been free to play for over 2 years now and will stay that way until they back to more normal games and less Vegas garbage.

Horrorwolf posted a message on Does everyone like that this game has gone "full casino mode"?Posted in: General DiscussionPlease. OP is 100% right and these clowns defending this RNG Casino BS are either your typical blind forum fanboys, complete retards, or Blizard employees. One idiot in here even tried to defend this by comparing OP's idea of a having a bit less RNG to Chess. What a moron. No one wants curve stone or no RNG...but the point is its currently beyond reasonable standards.
I've played this game since Beta and anyone with more than two brain cells can discern that the RNG swings have never been close to this bad where the game is typically decided by round 3....and it fiercely snowballs from there. Disagree? Try playing classic test matches vs the innkeeper. The back and forth swings are nowhere near what happens in standard...and this is why this game is no fun.
The game has become infested by auto win decks like Murlocs where you are encouraged not to build anything original...or class expansion meta decks that play out 100% the exact same match after match. If it wasn't so pre planned then the Meta would not be so stale weeks after expansion launch. Then there's the netdecking streaming assholes who make a living looking for only the most degenerative things in the game which actively destroys any original concepts well before players can test or play around to discover these things.
This game is far from what it was years ago. A bit of RNG is ok...where it stands now in terms of card generation, mana cheating, and RNG manipulation is simply beyond retarded.
Don't even get me started on how they have completely ruined several class identities...

Oad posted a message on Mage Packs - Don't BuyPosted in: General DiscussionHi,
I have been playing hearthstone in and out for a while now (around 3 years more or less) and i absolutely adore the game, mostly a wild player myself I am no stranger to spending money on this game; So far I've enjoyed buying bundles and expansion pre-order but I have to step in here and say please don't support this pack.I don't recall ever shit talking in hearthpwn or anywhere else abt hearthstone and I know i cannot assert my opinions onto others, but this kind of behavior from blizzard has to stop, this is by far the most shameful money grab I have ever seen. I do understand that they are trying something new here but this "something new" could potentially create problems for players in the future for the following reasons:
1) Identifying a market for whales - If overpriced packs start selling well, a divided market would potentially grow where price difference between bundles would be huge; inevitably blizzard would start catering whales and games that get selective this way don't do too well. I believe in a level playing field for everyone.
2) Encourage blizzard to release more overpriced packs - This is pretty obvious, If this pack does well blizzard will start advertising these packs more often --> hence more monetization
3) This is coming at the cost of superior deals - Blizzard putting effort here means its coming at the cost of other amazing deals. So far both the dragonmaster bundle and the pedotree deals were really rewarding and relatively cheap, compare this to that and you can see you are getting scammed.
4) More Monetization - Hearthstone is old, lets face it, in it's prime it had no competition and thus no reason to push itself or make the game cheaper, it was quite literally the only option u had, but things have changed now. The last thing we need is this game getting more expensive and less accessible to aspiring players. This bundle is 2$ a pack compared to normal 1.47$ with quite honestly little to no advantage, the restriction of buying only 5 makes it even worse so that some unfortunate soul who didn't score a legendary is stuck having wasted $10 for nothing. bundles often come at 0.8-1$ a pack which is honestly why they sell well, they are significantly cheaper.I would like to say that the idea here is actually quite agreeable, however the way its being executed is quite insulting.
Obviously every1 is free to do as they wish and you could argue that chances of legendary are rather high, but I would like to take this chance and encourage everyone to stand as a community and not condone such behavior. All this talk about the summit and this is the first thing we get, honestly quite disappointing. -

Techwood posted a message on Dusting useless LegendarysPosted in: General Discussiondust Fandral, Putricide, Oblivitron, Flark, Wickerflame, Sindragosa, Emeriss, Lynessa, Shaku, Sherazin, Corpse Flower, Xaril, Hallezeal, Malkorok, King Mosh, Nat, Arfus, Goya, Maexxna, Han'Cho, Blackhand, Skycap'n, Chromaggus, Nefarian. They will never be used to win or for fun because they are super useless. I'm a player since beta and haven't seen these cards in ages. But I'm also very conservative and keep cards cuz they are cool but at the same time i think the cards I mentioned aren't even that cool. So.. it took me a while to read all those but I had some time to waste anyway. Hope it helped :)

Honestly Gwent is fun and a good game but I have invested far too much time into this game to let go even though I hate the RNGfest

worse than ress priest?

Illidari Felblade this card should be nerfed. At 4 mana this card is disgusting with rush AND divine shield? c'mon man. Either raise it to 5-6 mana or lower its stats to like a 4/2
Outcast is such a silly mechanic, you can't play around that as the opponent

maybe u would've gotten mass dispel if your board had lethal. I don't think zephrys takes in account the cards in your hand. Anyway that's a tough one to swallow

well at least it's just demon hunter exclusive, I rather that than a neutral Kayn
