I've come up with a truly stupid Warrior deck with Steam Guardian and Blackrock 'n' Roll. You play only one spell in your deck, so you can super-reliably play Blackrock on turn 4 (Guardian reduces the cost to 4), at which point you just spend the rest of the game dropping nukes. It's Prince Keleseth levels of stupid.

The op has acknowledged this though by specifically saying control/combo. They are aware its countered by aggro but aggro is a style I assume they, like I and many others just simply don't enjoy.
I try not to moan about it because I get it. There are counters, there are times they don't draw it, it isn't a meta dominating deck etc etc. I just do really hate playing against, mainly because I like to play off meta decks and for the most part, they generally do OK against most things but a large amount of them aren't aggro, so they go to turn 10 and beyond and are just instantly punished by this. I'm not calling for a nerf for reasons above but for a large number of decks adn styles, it makes for an extremely unfun situation.
I've absolutely no issue with Tickatus burning 5 cards, I think that's a great tech is a worthwhile effect. The issue is the free Tickatus you also get from Y'Shaarj. Having 10 cards burned by turn 12 is just a rubbish feeling. It's basically the definition of a polarising deck. You're either aggressive enough to blast it down before it gets going or you're slow enough to lose a third of your deck.
It's not even about it punishing overly greedy decks. I've consistently hit fatigue against Tickatus when my opponent still has double figures left in their deck. I suppose the closest answer will be to tech in archivist and just accept a dead card in most matches.
If it typically punished decks that reached fatigue consistently, cool but it doesn't. It wrecks anything that wants to dare to try and draw around a half of their deck and that'd too much IMO.
Feels like it should be an 8 cost card. It still serves it purpose perfectly well but is a little slower and a little harder to currupt. It's just too easy to corrupt and regain for free.

And don't tell me I need more early game pressure, I had plenty. He had 30 OTK turn 7 with ZERO board and I had big taunts up.... SMH

You also don't HAVE to run all of the legendary cards to win, You can sub some more early game 2-4 mana minions in for Gromash, Remornia Lorthemar Sir Finley, and focus it as a more aggro deck. But if you do that Control decks will def outlast you if you don't snowball early.

The OG game was great because one rule was followed religiously.
#1 Don't print cards that make other cards obsolete.
This prevented power creep, and let noob players create f2p decks that were competitive. Somewhere along the line this was thrown aside in the interest of making more money selling card packs and the game has gone downhill since then with each new expansion pushing out older weaker cards.
They had a formula where if card did extra things, it was supposed to cost more or have reduced stats. It mostly worked. They changed all that, for the unholy eternal greedy dollar sign. :/
Can they fix it? YES! Buff all the basic classic cards that don't for instance, both dredge and reduce mana cost or whatever OP crazy stuff they add... It would be time consuming and need several iterations but the game needs it. And for god sakes stop printing cards that make games last 30 mins. Vast majority of players are casual and don't want to spend 30 mins a match while a priest uses all 40 cards stalling till you fatigue or they destroy your hero.

What about Spiritsinger Umbra? Four deathrattle cards would synergize, and you could sub Amani Berserkers for Plated Beetles.
