Great deck. I've been out of the game for awhile but started back up and had most of the cards for this build.
So far so good, I'm enjoying the deck a lot and love the choices involved with playing it.
Keep up the good work!

I did remove Malygos the Spellweaver. It did help me sometimes, but most of the time it just sat there.

Tried 2 versions of this deck and I am happily climbing the ladder. Yogg-Saron, Master of Fate saved the day few times. Replaced Shadow Hunter Vol'jin , because it was only pulling good for my opponent minions. May be will put it back when (if) reach diamond.

It went pretty alright, but I ended up going more of a Dragon spec and I just soared to Diamond 10!

Hi evreryone
Not made a comment in years but felt obliged to say something about these building blocks you building. Can totally understand why you are saying this a work in progress because there seems a lot of scope for improvement not because you done anything wrong the exact opposite just feels that good yet feels unfinished. Having a lot of fun and winning using your current list but have swapped out Xyrella and 1 Venomous Scorpid for Serena and Kazakus. Serena just seems like a nice tool and the sheer value i have had from raise dead and Kazakus is insane i commend you on your work so far and will definitely be checking in frequently on your thoughts going forward thx bud good job.

I will try this one!

As I said in another comment, when I say "f2p" in my videos it is just a deck that is cheap. I don't make decks worse for them to be f2p. This is the list I would play, it happens to be cheap, so I call it f2p :)

With the packs that I got, I ended up with a golden N’Zoth and Nameless One, so I crafted my Soul Mirror and Murazond, because I missed playing Priest. Where I’m at in Gold ranks, this deck has been a blast to play - and pretty successful for now. Aggro lists are tricky, but definitely doable. The flexibility you have and the value that you can generate with this deck makes a huge difference, and as long as you aren’t flooding on 8+ cost draws on the front end it goes fine.
The really fun one last night was against a control warlock list. The opponent burned two of the C’thun pieces, so that big line was out. I kept dumping big minions, and so did the opponent, and we kept beating each other down until we were both out of deck to draw. Once I got the lock to blow both Twisting Nether’s, I dropped N’Zoth and gave an instant board. I was skeptical that I would be able to keep up with the value and resources of a list like that... but I did!
Thanks for the groovy list, homie!

Ah man that sucks. :/
That's a really weird bug, but some complicated interactions work tend to go crazy like that, it never happened to me hopefully !
I'm taking the opportunity to talk about the "synergy" between Educated Elekk and Mindrender Illucia because I already did some really bad plays with them, and it might prevent other people from throwing the game.
It might seem obvious, but depending on the matchup, especially against control/slow ones, you should be wary when playing Illucia if you have the Elekk in your hand, think about how bad things might go if he plays the elekk afterwards and can get good value out of him.
ANNND reversely, if you have an Elekk alive on your board, and decide to switch hands, don't forget that if your opponent finds a way to kill the Elekk during his turn, every card will go in his deck.
When playing priest mirrors, I also recommend being very careful when playing the Elekk in lategame, always keep in mind that your opponent might have a soul mirror, and things can get messy if he has a silence for your own Elekk afterwards etc... ! :p
Against mage, always suppose that your opponent will have the Devolving Missiles in hand, and that you shouldn't "hard commit" on your Elekk in early game.

Hello Phantom131, your list looks very fun to play, cheers for building a thief priest list ! :)
There might be a few cards too greedy in my opinion, but this seems good enough to climb in ladder ! :p

Hello CookieWizard,
Well concerning C'thun, the reason I didn't include him is rather simple, I personally don't find this card, this archetype fun to play.
But that's purely subjective, and if I had to think about this card in a more objective way, here are my thoughts :
- On the one hand, as you've mentionned, the C'thun spells fit with this archetype, they can be useful/great answers against a few boards, and having the opportunity to play C'thun's battlecry effect in very lategame is always a good trick to have up one's sleeve, as it's threatening for your opponent.
- On the other hand ( and that's part of the reason why I don't like C'thun, regardless of the fun/boring aspect question ) I don't really see what matchups do you want to target with C'thun. I can think of two matchups that almost always reach fatigue, it's against Warlock Tickatus ( who counters hard C'thun if he discards a single spell ) and Priest mirrors. The list shown here has a good matchup against priest C'thun ( I think I'm like 6-1 overall against it ) and for every other matchups, like the tier 1 lists of the current meta that are Libram Paladin, Spell Mage or Pen Flinger Rogue, if you managed to keep the game up until fatigue/you are able to draw C'thun, it means that you are ahead anyways, and it's quite unlikely your opponent can beat you because it means they "failed" their own winning condition.
If we take a look at the spells only, they are decent/good, I only fear that they might be a bit too heavy for the low curve of this list, but I'm nitpicking, the 3 dmg aoe spell especially is really good.
I think that if you enjoy my list, you can add C'thun without too much trouble and he might help you, I'm not so sure about which card should go out, but you'd probably need to swap out Yogg if you add C'htun. ( But then again, list is playable even with those 2 old gods )

Hello Linc,
hum, regarding Blademaster Samuro I tried him for like less than 10 games the first day of the expansion, so I can'treally fathom everything he can do for the list, but he was doing decent in my games.
I think it's a really good card against Libram Paladins where you'll usually be able to make value out of him on curve. And he does have a good synergy with Apotheosis, but I don't know, I decided to cut it because it felt like this list didn't need this specific aoe answer/potential play.
And I might be wrong, but as a standalone ( without any spell buff ) he isn't that strong, and in the worst case scenario where you didn't reduce his cost and apotheosis' one, waiting for the turn 7 to play the combo just feels too situational ?
It's hard to tell really, I might change my mind later, at first I stopped playing him because I tried versions with Kazakus and had to cut my 4 drops, and I didn't feel the need to add him back afterwards. But maybe I'll give it a try, cause he might be the card needed to increase our winning chances against libram pal.

I never tried to include Desperate Prayer in the list, but I don't think it would be worth it. I definitely agree with you that it's a great combo with Xyrella, but the card alone is not doing much, and it's not really something you want to topdeck in lategame etc... The list can generate many new spells, therefore when I have Xyrella in hand, I usually try to keep one healing spell in my hand, or discover on purpose Desperate Prayer or Flashing heal. But other than that, I don't think they belong in the list.
Samuro would be a better idea, I did play him in my first games of this expansion, he was doing decent, he might be strong against libram paladins ! I decided to cut it because I don't want to play too much aoe cards since I'm mostly facing mage & warlock, but it's a card you can add and will be good/great most of the time I think.

Hello Perennial, I think your changes are coherent with the list ! All of them allow you some cool plays with the list depending on the situations.
There is one card I'm not so sure about though, it's Void Flayer . I'll be honest and admit I never tried this new card, so my opinion might be biased, but while his effect has a good synergy with the list, I don't think it's really needed.
Of course I can think of some boards, situations, where you'll get good value from it, but I don't know, I just feel like there might be better options than this card.
Another suggestion would be regarding the cards that you can swap in the future if you want to try new cards, from what I've been trying, you can play the list with only one copy of Condemn (Rank 1) and Nazmani Bloodweaver .

Ah ah that's funny, I haven't seen silence priests, but I can easily imagine how good Serena is against a Razorleaf ! Well a 2 mana minion that negates dmg on your face and gives you a chance to have a minion to trade next turn is definitely a good card for priest anyways. I think I need to play more games to really get a grasp of the meta, and every tool needed in the list. ( I've only faced one weapon rogue since the rotation, and not having an Ooze was a problem for instance etc... )
In my opinion, Serena is really good against aggro/midrange lists, but it loses a bit of its power against control lists, and since I'm facing those latter kind mostly, I'm not ready yet to bring her back.
Yes, Kel'Thuzad is surprisingly good, and it's always surprising for your opponent.
Well, concerning Illucia, you've pointed the main "issue" : since priest almost always have value plays in hand, when is it good to give it to your opponent ? I think Illucia is kind of like Yogg-Saron ( not entirely of course ), because usually, it's not a card you'll want to play when you are ahead. Therefore, I'd suggest playing her in 2, even 3 situations :
1 ) The "worst" one ( but can still be needed ) is when you draw her early and don't have much else to play. If your opponent has the coin, It's decent to play her before turn 5, for two reasons : you have a dead hand anyways and opponent won't develop much with it, and by doing so, you prevent him some plays, you can delay his curve. ( Anyways, if you have a slow start, might aswell play Illucia and hope for the best, than do nothing and end up losing )
2 ) The "decent" one : game is more or less balanced, usually in control matchups, and you can play her in mid/late turns if you don't have another better option to maintain the pressure, if you don't have any answer for a minion on your opponent's board and think you need to clear it this turn in order to not fall behind. Another case is when you have "many" good value plays in hand ( a few big drakes for instance ), and your opponent can only play one of those big minions if you switch hands, there it's decent to play Illucia.
3 ) The "best" one : A few scenarios, but generally, playing Illucia right after your opponent refilled his hand is a good play : most of the time, it's when he is searching for a good play/card in his deck, and playing Illucia as an answer allows you to "steal" this combo. You can also drop Illucia in some situations where you both have few cards in hands, and you have both board control and no AOE/answers in your hand, you play Illucia and give a dead turn to your opponent. ( And obviously, there isn't any OTK combos atm, but Illucia is good againt those archetypes )
To conclude the comparison with Yogg, when you play Illucia, like you mentionned, you need to be careful with your hand, but don't forget about what the opponent might topdeck from your own deck too. It's usually a bad idea to play Illucia when you have soul mirror in hand for instance ( but sometimes, like if you have 2 soul mirrors etc... Illucia can still be the best play, I try to think of her as a "last resort" tool like Yogg ! :) )

Ah ah hello ElusiveCat, I'm glad if you liked the stealing priest from a few months ago, it brings back good memories ! ( And nostalgia is kind of the reason I added the new 2 mana minion Soothsayer's Caravan x) )
Yeah I'm sorry, and that's a warning I should highlight in the guide, but this list is still a work in progress, hence the quick changes since yesterday, I'm trying to update it to what I think is the best version possible, but it also means that if you are low on dust, not sure about some cards, you should ask me in the comments for a sub, or simply find it on your own ! ^^
And yeah, I cut those two legendaries for better synergy overall, but I might add back Serena, I'll check how good/bad my list is. I'll grind ladder this evening/night, and I'll try to edit the list to a better version once again if my tests are not conclusive enough !

Hello newberpwner, well played for this list, it looks solid, and as priest otp, I'll probably give it a try !
Trying to synergyze with wandmaker seems like a good idea, and I agree that Nazmani feels like a better fit for priest in this new meta.
However, I think some cards in the list might be a bit too greedy/not really needed. For instance, I believe playing 2* Sethekk instead of the Void Flayers would be better in this archetype ( works really well with Nazmani, helps you generating value all game long etc... ) and I don't think the "aoe" effect of the void flayer is that important since you play many other good removal cards.
I haven't tried the new Ysera so far, but like you mentionned, you can get big drakes with the 1 mana spell, and I think Ysera should be an option to consider when you discover dragons, but not mandatory in the list, maybe Yogg Saron would bring you more ways to comeback/end games, even the new alexstraza would be better in my opinion with this archetype.

Hello GothPuppy,
I'm currently trying many lists, archetypes for Priest, including a kind of "thief/mana reducing" control priest that is kind of the evolution of the list shown above.
Once I'll have a list that feels good enough, what I'll do is probably create a different guide ( and I might edit this one with a link to the "new" DMF version ), because I don't want to delete this list that I'v shared two weeks ago. :p ( But it's true that this version is probably not as good in the new meta than before ! )
