I find Aggro vs Aggro dull, with the first player to put a minion on the board holding an overwhelming advantage, because from that point on they dictate trades. The other player needs to have at least two 2-for-1 cards within the next few turns or they are swarmed.
I find the opposite. Last month, for example, I finished D7, having started with 8 bonus stars, implying I gained 7 ranks (22 stars) without the aid of bonus stars. The result? Eight bonus stars!
So know not only do I have have to play 30 or so games against people of my own mmr just to get back to P5 (when my bonus disappears), but then I have a 22 star hole relative to last month. In the old system I only fell back 20 stars, consistently every month.
PS: My win rate in Diamond last month was 65%. I am time capped, not skill capped, at that rank.
Agreed. I’ve been playing mostly Embiggen this month, and almost all my losses are Rez Priest and Face Hunter. Priest outlasts me, and Face Hunter usually can sneak in enough damage over the top of my mid-game board dominance to finish me off.
i could care less what gets nerfed. When you have every card in the game you play any deck you want. After the nerfs I'll play the next deck everyone will be whining about to nerf 2 days later.....the kids are never happy. Free rank 5 for me and who gives a shit....
imagine owning every card in the game... and only reach rank 5
poor soul
Easy. If you only play three or so ranked games a day, you will equilibrate at a rank range where you have about a 60% win rate. Even if you have all the cards you need it’s hard to sustain that kind of win rate below rank ten.
Some of have lives and can’t play a dozen ranked games per day, plus all the ancillary play.

I almost throw my phone at the TV as my opponents high rolled me again and again. I hate this brawl.

I’ve open 12 golden packs without an epic. The normal pity timer is 10.

They have no pity timer at all.

There’s probably some abusive combo that would make it suck, like the recent pogo-fest.

As a frequent Druid player, the only thing that matters to me now is “Does this give me a chance vs Rez Priest?”.
Answer, no.

Anti-Rez tech: Chicken Farmer
2 mana 3/2. Battlecry: Fill your opponent’s board with Angry Chickens. Destroy them all.
