posted a message on HobGoblin Priest viable?

I like Hobgoblin too and it feels great when you can pull off the combo with minions like Annoy-O-Tron and Ooze.

The modifications I would make to that deck are:

    -1 Holy Nova, -1 Bloodmage, -1 Holy Smite and +1 Velens chosen, +2 annoy-o-tron.

The annoy-o-trons are good value with Hobgoblin and even if they don't get buffed by Hobgoblin, you have a second Velen's Chosen to draw. The Holy Smite I've taken out because it's just normally a spell i don't run unless I have Voljin in the deck. Velen's chosen also acts as your spell damage +1 like Bloodmage does. If holy smite is for early board clear, then removing that for an annoy-o-tron has a similar effect with the added bonus of it being a lifesaving taunt in late game.

If card draw is an issue you could put an acolyte in place of an annoy-o-tron. The acolyte also get's buffed by hobgoblin. I would definately run 2 velen's though since in case hobgoblin isn't available, you have a total of 4 spells to buff your oozes with.

Good luck and let us know how it went!

posted a message on farming rank 20... wrong?

A wild pokemon that clearly only read a few posts barges in the discussion and goes full retard. :v

Are you still responding to every message? Don't you have some farming to do? You're wasting time...

I don't have time to wade through 6 pages of posts that are mainly from you so I will express my opinions on rank 20 farming since that's what the topic is about.

But, I am touched that a rank 20 farmer has taken the time out of their busy golden portrait schedule to personally respond to my post :)

When grinding golden portraits, it's done with aggressive aggro decks because games are faster and not as taxing on the brain (usually). So after 500 games, you become pretty good at playing the same fast aggro deck over and over.

Once you've gotten your golden portrait, what have you actually accomplished? What will you do now once you've got the golden portrait? Begin to play seriously with serious decks?

The problem is there is an expectation that you're pretty good after "winning" 500 games when in fact, you haven't progressed past rank 20. Isn't that a bit embarrassing that you can't beat a person from rank 15 who didn't farm and has an ordinary portrait? The reason you will struggle against a person from rank 15 is because they have learnt more concepts than you have since at higher ranks, you will only understand certain fundamentals. Hearthstone has deep concepts that can't be learnt after 500 games at rank 20.

What these farmers fail to understand is that it is quite obvious when you play against someone who has earned a golden portrait as oppose to those who have farmed it. I have lost to golden portrait players in some pretty tough and challenging matches and I have respect for those players since they have clearly earned it.

Hands up those who have beaten a golden portrait player through skill and knowledge? I grin every time and think to myself, "Oh, they were once just another rank 20 farmer." It's like faking a resume; yes you'll look good but embarrassing when you can't deliver. Respect is earned and achieved in how and the way you play; not by how much bling there is on you.

Best of luck when you play your first serious deck with a golden portrait but don't have the knowledge to use it since all you've done for a month or two is farm rank 20 players.

Exactly. I see more advantage in understanding the abuse because I find it amusing also.

I'm from Australia and I don't see why this is an advantage... and unfortunately, nor do I understand what the word unforethubayely means...

Happy to join this league. Sounds like my playing style. I play mostly control and grinder style decks.

I can create any meta deck so if anybody wants to test their deck against a particular deck, I can assist there.

While going through some of these incidences of rage that people encounter, I wonder, where are they from? I haven't come across anyone who's added me for the purpose of flaming.

What rank does this occur at? Ranked play or Casual play? Arena? Region? Or all of the above?
