I agree this is a slap in the face to people who originally got it for a limited time in 2016 thinking it was going to be rare and never return. To return it to the store for free is very upsetting. And not giving anything to people who owned it from 2016 is incredibly insulting on Blizzards part. Sylvanas should be free to people who owned Tyrande from 2016. I would still be upset even if Sylvanas was free. What's next they are going to offer monthly card backs that are thought to be unattainable again for a price? I spend a lot of money on this game to have everything and now they are giving it away free. Thanks Blizzard.
Piss off, you had her exclusive for three years. That was your reward. And they have always said that it was going to come back, so you're lying too.

You just said it, so it effectively does something. The nerf isnt meant to weaken the deck, only to shorten the games. You had to play elysiana twice just to realize who's gonna win in the mirror. And gave absolutely no chance to other decks to win in the very late game.
Thats all the point of this nerf, to save up game time that was wasted and unnecessary for every casual player and to improve the esports/competitive scene. "Warrior mirrors are a miserable affair at the moment and a massive turnoff due to the Elysiana/Brew/Banker degeneracy"

Indeed, and why I said rogue isn't done. The nerfs are not supposed to kill the deck, but to slow it down so its not oppressive anymore and gives other decks the opportunity to rise up and overall create a more balanced meta.

But no other deck plays the long control game other than shaman, and warrior already beats it. Meanwhile control warrior is unfavorable against paladin, mage and hunter. All those decks struggled against rogue, but now rogue gets nerfed. So the biggest food of warrior (rogue) will disappear, and that lets all the counters to warrior to see more play.

Rogue isn't done but will be less popular. As with this warrior won't see more play but all the opposite, warriors best matchup was rogue and with fewer rogues, theres gonna be room for more variety and tougher matchups for warrior as well. Warrior is still a very strong deck and will continue to be relevant, but the nerfs dont help him

Thi guide is excellent thank you, covers a lot. Clearly spent his time writing it. Apx is the real Mage expert!
I gotta recommend his stream (at least the vods), he basically thinks out loud and gives out so much insight on every play allowing to learn a lot.

Despite the rotation of Jade Idol and the current low relevance of Inner Fire priest, Geist is still a solid tech against most decks. Here're the main targets of the card in the current meta after rotation (credit WaldmannHS):

Shudderwock was my free legendary, although I'd like full refund (who would't want free dust tbh), its not gonna happen.
Because it wasn't "nerfed":
Neither the stats nor the effect are being changed, only some gameplay mechanics related to this card are being fixed since they weren't working as intended. In this case the animation speed and the amount of battlecries the card could cast.
Same goes for life drinker

This card is definitely worth crafting.
Not as insane as it seemed to be, but still its a very solid board removal that will definitely always see play both in standard and wild.
It's best suited for Control warlock rather than normal cubelock but still a great removal for both. A cheaper Twisting Nether that leaves a 4/4 on the board, and works better for chains of minions like with Hadronox, or enemy Voidlord/ Carnivorous Cube. (Still doesn't completely replace Nether since it relies on the board state and some minions could simply be out of reach)

A very solid anti-aggro/stall minion

2 new expansions in and this card stil blows. That shouldn't change for the upcoming two this year. Only competitive deck that uses discards is Zoo that this card is too slow for.
Only reason not to dust this is so it's not pulled again.
