Flood posted a message on Patron still considered high skill cap?Posted in: General DiscussionThe other day, I left my computer unattended and my 8 year old sister tried playing Hearthstone on my account and got me to rank 3 from rank 5 just playing patron when I came back
Man for a second I though this post would spark some good discussion

Asylum_Rhapsody posted a message on Silencing Weapons?Posted in: General DiscussionIt's an idea that's come up before a few times on the Fan Creation forum, and it does have some merit! The only problem is that, right now at least, there are just too few weapons you'd rather silence instead of just destroy. You have Death's Bite, Powermace, Ogre Warmaul, and that's pretty much it. That last one raises some interesting possibilities, what with the possibility of more powerful weapons with Silence-able drawbacks, but there's just little point in introducing that sort of care at this point in the game. Maybe in the future though when we get more crazy weapons. =)

teknician posted a message on Does Varian Wrynn... really suck?Posted in: Card DiscussionWell, this is exactly the kind of card that encourages new decks. So I wouldn't expect it to fit in an existing archetype. Yep.

Flood posted a message on New Warrior Legendary - Varian WrynnPosted in: Card DiscussionOkay.
So only reasonable deck to run this in at this point is Control warrior.
By default it draws 3 cards so comparing this to AoL it have +2/+2 and draws another for 3 more mana. So a 3 mana 2/2 that draws are card is pretty balanced.
But in the case that you play this and draw some big guys its clearly good. But It is not like control warrior needs mana to play cards, especially if you can play a 10 mana card that doesn't impact the board with taunt(obviously you could get belcher).
In control warrior you also run a lot of cards that would be bad to put on the board like taskmaster acolyte armorsmith ghoul in some lists. So the downside is there but its pretty small.
The good part of this card is the card draw itself. A AoL is something control warrior would love.
So the card is pretty good. You cant play it when you are far behind and it costs so much. But it draws 3 cards, and can play cards like belcher rag ysera boom to make it good.

I like the change to tiers makes a lot of sense. Thanks for the update! Will definitely come in handy.
A suggestion, perhaps the final tier should be split in 2. Like uncompetitive and trash tiers. For example Millhouse Manastorm no matter what meta will be crappy but cards like Cairne Bloodhoof or Sneed's Old Shredder can be useful in other metas and so the distinction could help people by saying basically that some cards are just absolute crap and unplayable period so just collect the dust while some others like the ones I mentioned are potentially useful in another meta and so if you want to keep all good legendaries just in case of a future meta where they're good then keep them.
Just a suggestion.

Icehowl I would argue is actually not a bad minion. The only thing I have to say is he is one mana more than he should be and that is his only problem.
Having him charge to remove a card is very good then you could on your next turn silence him for 10 damage to the face.
I can understand why OP titled this thread what he did. Everyone on this site said he can't hit face to which people responded he can be silenced, to which the response was well that removes charge. Here is a mind blowing concept, he can be used to remove a minion and then be silenced the next turn. With the way people acted on this site toward the card of course some of the newer players would be shocked that he can hit face when silenced. Just because he was meant as a removal piece does not equal him being a bad card. I will readily pay 8-9 for certain removal of a big minion compared to spending 8 mana on Ragnaros the Firelord for a coin flip on whether I live or die because I am at low health and they have lethal if a certain minion survives.

Without a doubt Sapling from Living Roots. So glad I got a golden of the card. Now all I need is one more golden version of it.

I don't mind constructed only having 30 cards. Maybe a new mode with more than 30 cards? I could dig that.

I don't know about any of you but I trust the overall opinion of streamers over the thoughts of one streamer. The fact that Strifecro came up with a different opinion then Lifecoach and so did Reynad gives me hope for the expansion. I think this might just be the best one we've had so far.

If you want to play decks that require Malygos then craft him. Pretty straight forward I think.

Rogue unfortunately.

For the decks I need more removal in, only one [deck]Big Game Hunter[/deck] is required. In Control Warrior I don't use him as I find Shield Slam and Execute cover all my needs in most situations. After the cards come out I may put Big Game Hunter back in my Control Warrior deck if the meta slows down significantly(which I sadly doubt).
I tend to think we will go from the current Aggro meta to a more midrange oriented meta which I like better. Wish it was going to be a Control Meta(as those are my favorite matches) and so I really doubt that a lot of the big cards will even see play, I am sad to say.

Didn't OP say he is a Face Hunter who farms low ranks in another post because he is F2P and wants easy quick wins? No wonder he is salty. Face Hunter is going to cry when Varian Wrynn brings out a Sludge Belcher Ragnaros and Alexstrassa

Should have been a Battlecry
