it's not even a Charger, when will the lies end? Also pretty understatted for the cost.

FrostyBlue posted a message on Weekly Card Design Competition 7.14 - Submission TopicPosted in: Fan CreationsIn the right deck, this quest lets you summon a bastion of minions like Wickerflame Burnbristle , Tirion Fordring and Bolvar, Fireblood to fend you off another turn or two.. before you die off of fatigue, that is.
Since you don't get to use the minions you summoned on the same turn, the 8 Health would give you enough leeway to try and go for a swing.

Crawsushi posted a message on Weekly Card Design Competition 7.14 - Submission TopicPosted in: Fan CreationsHaving Resurrection Sickness in hand basically "locks" your deck, activating the fatigue mechanic. Then, if you feel lucky enough, you can choose to pay the 10 mana to play the card, removing it from your hand and making the deck accessable again.

Profetorum posted a message on New Neutral Legendary - Dollmaster DorianPosted in: Card DiscussionI really can't get why is this card so overrated. Not even close to Barnes: when Barnes is played (on t4), you have a direct impact on the game without anything else. With this card you put on board (on t5) a 2/6 that can be removed. And more, it's reaaally unreliable: you can't drive the effect on the minion you want to be summoned. Even if you combo it on t10 with a Nourish or something, it's a 10 mana combo.
Can someone explain? I think it's a bad card. -

Vision136 posted a message on New Druid Legendary Card Reveal - Duskfallen AvianaPosted in: NewsIf this was accidentally leaked by Blizzard, will the site that was supposed to reveal it get a new card to reveal? I think something similar happened last reveal season and whoever got their card leaked got a new one. I hope so, because that would suck if you were told you would get to reveal a card and someone then took it away from you, even if it was just an accident.

Alialun posted a message on New Druid Legendary Card Reveal - Duskfallen AvianaPosted in: NewsIt's not like Temporus, any deck can kill the opponent in 2 turns but just 1 free minion? that's only very specific decks. And this card clearly goes in an OTK deck!
Wrong. Wrong. Wrong... -

I thoughtstole this as priest, and sure enough, my hero power would freeze whatever it healed. Pretty neat.

I couldn't get this deck to work at all. Even on the attempts where I successfully baited out both his Obliterates, he had Blizzard + Shatter. Relying on one single large threat in the lategame seems doomed to failure, unless you can manage to make it untargetable... gonna try a Galvadon deck next...

Judging it one way, it is a 6 mana 2/8 taunt, and is outclassed by Ancient of Blossoms which never saw play.
If you're playing this, it can only be for tempo. So is this good tempo? If you drop this turn 3, you're also skipping turn 4. Will this beat out your opponent's 3 drop + 4 drop? I think not. Heck, this might not even have enough power to kill some two-drops. Heck, there are vanilla 3 drops that can trade with this card solo with a couple attacks... if you're a 6 mana card that loses to a Hired Gun, you're not a tempo play.
Good overload creatures are ones that gives you an effect that is still worth it's total mana cost *and* is a good tempo play. Totem Golem was a 3 mana 3/4. Flamewreathed Faceless is a 6 mana 7/7. Jinyu Waterspeaker is 5 mana for a tougher and more versatile Antique Healbot. All of these are solid prices for their effects, and then overload makes them better for tempo.
This card is not good.

This reminds me of Eater of Secrets, both of who seem printed to screw over exactly one deck. Less thorough a counter though. (Though amusingly, this card also destroys Secret Paladin if you can cast it before their Mysterious Challenger)
So yeah, this negates the worst of Jade Druid's ultra-lategame, but you still need to survive till the lategame, they can still summon a decent number of huge Jade Golems without Jade Idols. Taking out their Earthen Scales is a nice bonus, admittedly.
For this to see play, it will also have to see some use against other decks. What other decks have significant 1-cost spells?
Evolve Shaman? They now have a Hero card as plan B, so it doesn't hurt them as much, plus they might pull off their evolve turn the turn before you have enough mana to cast this. Still, not useless.
Inner Fire Priest maybe, but they can refill with Lyra the Sunshard... though missing their Power Word: Shields and Potion of Madnesses might make that harder. The real problem is that they can go off before turn 6. Not useless, but meh nonetheless.
Conceal is gone nowadays as is Power Overwhelming, which would have been good decks to use this against to shut down Auctioneer and Leeroy combos respectively. A while back control warrior would have been vulnerable as it used to run Shield Slam and Execute, but Shield Slam isn't used much anymore and Execute is now 2 mana, so the best you could hope for nowadays is hitting your opponent's Whirlwinds. And plenty of 1 mana spells are only relevant earlygame... Lost in the Jungle, Mark of the Lotus, etc. Quests are always cast before turn 6...
It doesn't necessarily win you the game against Jade Druid, and I don't think it is useful enough against other decks, but it has potential.
(Some last thoughts... would Nerubian Unraveler protect against this card? What if you had an Emperor Thaurissan-discounted Jade Idol in your hand?)

Like others have said, this is not an anti-aggro card.
If they go face, it is just a 4/3 for 3, making it an inferior Hired Gun
Furthermore, against aggro, you generally want high toughness, and the attack value can be low, as aggro tends to have lots of low-health minions.
I don't see this seeing play, the effect only matters against aggro, but the card is not good against aggro.

Yup. I'd prefer the version:
5 mana
5/4
Taunt, Poisonous, At the end of your turn, deal 1 damage to all other minions.
Stealth really is pointless on it.

Oh jeez, this is strictly better than Arcane Explosion... is what I would say if the game didn't already have Maelstrom Portal.
This card is no Maelstrom Portal, but a cheap AoE is definitely something priest can use. The real question will be how many 1-health minions we'll need to deal with in the new meta. Priest doesn't have spellpower totem like shaman, and it doesn't really have a good way to ping off a 2-health minion that survives this spell, so it might not get played at all... or it could be one of the most important cards in a priest deck. It entirely depends on the meta.
EDIT: Wait, it hits your own stuff? Okay, this card is worse than I thought... bleh.

Uzzukis doesn't prevent fatigue, when you draw the card that was shuffled in, it activates and then draws another card (like the other cards that get shuffled in and activate when drawn; see Ambush or the Mine from iron juggernaunt)

They're really trying to get Purify to be played huh, they're like "well, if you won't put it into your decks, we're going to put it in your hands, just play the card!"

Tomb Spider was a 4 mana 3/3, meaning that it valued discovering a card at 1.5 mana (since a 3 mana 3/3 is below average stats) This values discovering a card at 1 mana (since a 4 mana 4/5 is fair stats)
Tomb spider discovered from a tribe that has many terrible cards that you don't want in any modern constructed deck. (River Crocolisk, Captain's Parrot, Weasel Tunneler, Oasis Snapjaw, Silverback Patriarch, etc) This discovers elementals, which has much fewer bad cards (The Rager Duo mostly, and some situational cards like Arcane Anomaly or Unbound Elemental)
Beasts also lacked many truly amazing cards to discover (Savannah Highmane, mostly) Elementals have a ton of extremely high value targets. (Ragnaros the Firelord, Baron Geddon, Al'Akir the Windlord, Fire Elemental,Neptulon, in addition to the new legendary elementals coming out in this set) What's more, these elementals tend to have an immediate effect on the board, as opposed to the best beasts, which tended to be good because they were costed well for their stats.
