Rogue also lost its identity as Mil rogue along its way...

Yea I noticed. I'm trying to figure out why even play Rogue if every other class seems to do its job better. Besides fun there is,

I think it’s because unlike other classes, rogue lost their key combo cards such as preparation (nerfed) and vanish (HOF)

With all the cheating out big minions and even cheating out wide boards without any form of clear for either. They don't have any natural defense. No taunts, heals or stealths. Rogues seems to have all the cons and no pros.

I rather steal cards from opponent the be boring ass temp rogue.

True but that isn't a class identity. Being good at stealing cards can be tempo based. It more of a theme.

Rogue didn't seem to build on past good deck it seemed to completely abandon them and start something new.

I've been playing for a couple of years but for the last couple of expansion, I've noticed that rogue as a class seems lost. The things that it use to be good at it no longer is. Being able the best at removing single minions has shifted to other classes (priest, warrior) and in terms of tempo specialist, it no longer can do that either.

What direction do you think Rogue is going and what place does it have in comparison to other classes?

For some reason, players kling on to Kingsbane and Valeera the Hollow, even though the numbers show terrible winrates. Maybe the cards don't have to be better to be played, so why bother making them better?

Or are the cards so well design that people remember wins and forget losses, or simply just don't care if they are not climbing just to play the decks? Many are fooling themselves into believing the cards are strong for sure!

The cards themselves can be strong while the decks they fit into currently are not.
But that's proving the card is bad. If a card is strong but never has a deck to play it in then it means it isn't strong. In addition, facts are facts, using her causes you to lose more than win. It's a fact supported by data not a opinion. In theory yes it's good but it isn't in practice and will moat likely never see a successful win rate.

Or u know R&G is bad on this deck. I can play this deck well but 70% of the time i never draw life steal or a coldlight. Don't know why but it happens a lot.

Come out with a good control Rogue then complain. You're complaining about something that some classes don't have access too. I would love for all those useless cards they give rogue to work but they don't

It does when the main expansion card is just bad. Valeera isnt good this isnt good. I know they got other but it really sucks to have a lack of win condition. It the same deck every expansion and it just run at your face.

The top tier deck you mention doesn't use a single one of those cards. And the armour, healing cards you mentioned aren't available in any rogue deck. And one weapon considered weapon support or useful?

Let me know when rogues use these cards or have support for them. use a 3 mana card to add healing to your weapon when there is a card for 4 mana that just heals you for 12. I'am not saying make rogue all powerful with all answers but geesh.

I don't like this card. It doesn't really help with any rogue problems. Rogues as a class has almost 6 weaknesses.

    1. No Heals
    2. No Armour
    3. No wide board removals (not send back to your hand that isn't really helpful)
    4. No valuable weapons
    5. Not a lot of drawing power outside of Aunctioneer
    6. No late game

I wish they would at least cut this down by half before adding secret with no supporting cards.  It stupid that Druids and Priest got answers for their weaknesses while other classes don't have a answer for it.

What do you think the class was designed to do? From my experience with rogue it seemed that tempo was also a major theme in the class with cards like backstab, counterfit coin, edwin, SI7, and all of the other high tempo cards. That would mean that any rogue deck based on tempo also conforms to rogue's core themes.
Well Tempo Rogue isn't really unique to Rogue. I mean if it didn't have Kal and Bonemare could u use it? I mean in Miracle you can no use it without Edwin, coin etc. I think you can make a tempo rogue deck without any rogue cards and it would work.
If tempo rogue would work so well without rogue cards then why don't all of the other classes have top tier tempo decks using the same cards? Over half the tempo rogue deck is rogue only cards, or cards that work better with rogue because of their hero power.
Rogue's hero power isnt good anymore. It actually is probably the cause of them losing more than winning. Every class has a 1/3 minion now and they can benefit from that hero power with the many weapon destroy cards. If the opponent can draw cards or gain armour from you hero power it probably isnt as great as it could be. I mean you can't even hit your own minion with it.  Plus you cant heal... and we dont have any real good weapon buffs anymore.

Some of them do. Hunter is pretty good now and Warlock Tempo isn't bad either.

I read somewhere that Blizzards design idea is that rogue should be good at single target removal. Which makes sense when you look at the basic cards.

Right now i Don 't know if there is a rogue archtype that supports this Idea and i kinda feel like rogue needs a soft reset of sorts so you can play things other than miracle and still feel like you are playing a rogue deck. The tempo pirate/element rogue does not feel like a rogue deck to me at all.

Maybe rogue needs a bit more class identity besides miracle

Thank you for getting it. This is a good explanation.
