Yeah, Pyro is a solid substitute (much better than Geo IMO). Not only does it activate the Acolytes and Amanis, it also helps deal with any pesky divine shield minions.
Played only a handful of games with this deck, but so far so good (playing at rank 6-5). I can tell some of my opponents are very confused by it, it's not the typical Control or Rush/Aggro Warrior everyone is used to, which definitely gives this deck an advantage.
Looks like Patchwerk's AI is programmed to go all face with that weapon. Frostwolf Grunt and Goldshire Footman could actually prove valuable in that case, just to buy some time. I also notice the weapon has a deathrattle (likely it replaces itself, possibly with an even stronger weapon), so Acidic Swamp Ooze is probably worthless, but Harrison Jones will at least get a lot of draw value.
In any case it looks like a pretty easy and straightforward fight if all you have to do is stop Patchwerk from hitting your face, but I'm hoping it'll be more complex than that. It'll come down his hero ability. Maybe it gives his weapon attack splash damage. Or allows him to ignore taunt minions. Or gives him immunity (like Gladiator's Longbow). Lots of possibilities.

Not much of a "guardian" if doesn't have taunt, just gonna throw that out there.
