I feel like your changes would only make sense after reaching the conclusion that infinite value is detrimental to the game no matter what. Therefore i'd like you to explain why you think that since I, for example, don't think it's always a problem.

RavenSunHP posted a message on Aggro Shaman is ruining the gamePosted in: General Discussionthe fact that shaman is everywhere does NOT prove it's OP: it proves only it is cheap and (very) effective for an average skill level.
New critical entries are Flamewreathed Faceless and Thing from Below. Faceless guys are OP, especially in an aggressive playstyle. I do agree with that. They are on the same rank of OP-ness as old Dr. Boom: you can deal with them, but they are regarded as an anomaly during the game, which they are, indeed. Since they are not neutral and not legendary, they can be felt, somehow reasonably, as an abuse by shamans.
BUT
Shaman is not nearly as broken as all the whining tries to show. Why? Because too many of you are whining also for cards that existed BEFORE WOG and were never considered OP.
And finally, my point: excessive whining makes the argument ineffective.

RavenSunHP posted a message on We Should Break Hearthstone for the BetterPosted in: General Discussion- Like Pirate Warrior? Play it.
- You don't? Play something else.
> But it's mindless? NOBODY CARES.
The world is built upon mindlessness, starting with the fact we're all playing a card game online. - You feel Pirate Warrior is ruining the meta? Counter it - and don't even try to tell me it's impossible.
- If game grows boring still, devs wil take care. It's been stated, and you know it.
> Otherwise, it means the problem is just in your mind.
Keep calm and play the game. Or don't. But there's really nothing to stress about so much.

RavenSunHP posted a message on I'll never understand the control moral high-ground.Posted in: General DiscussionThe higher ground is based on the bias for which a longer strategy involves more intellect.
Hence a biased Control player (not all of them are!) thinks he is more clever than you. And if you beat him, it is unfair.

Agithore posted a message on Priest Will Always Be Bad / Warrior Will Always Be GoodPosted in: Card DiscussionWe as Hearthstone players should just come to the acceptance that Priest will always be a bad class on ladder at least when it comes to Standard. Similarly, Warrior will always have multiple archetypes to choose from. And this is mainly because of how each classes' Basic and Classic sets are made.
Since these sets ultimately remain in the Standard set forever, they get to decide the overall viability of a class in the long run. Sure, in the next few adventures and expansions they'll give Priest the Shaman treatment of 4 Mana 7/7s, but that'll pass too. The sets will rotate out and Priest will come back to being the underdog. Due to the awful construction of both the Classic and Basic sets of Priest, the class will always struggle on ladder, even when it has an average set of cards to choose from, from the expansions. Largely, these two sets are terrible for Priest. Many cards are pure gimmicks and don't work in an actual deck. They don't have stuff like Brawl embedded in the class, which means that if they don't have a strong removal given to them in each rotation, they'll suck as a Control class, and it's not like there's much else this class knows how to do well. There's absolutely useless cards like Divine Spirit, Inner Fire, Mindgames, Lightwell, Lightspawn, Mass Dispel, Shadowform (give up guys, there's been no real support for this card since ever. What little Inspire deck that saw rise will be gone once the sets shift), Holy Fire, Mind Vision and Prophet Velen and many others that take up slots for useful Priest cards. And the thing is Priest is stuck with these forever.
Now, let's look at Warrior, quite possibly the best class in the game right now. Not only does it have a multitude of archetypes, they're all insanely good and viable. This class lacked Aggro and was pretty much the "Control" class along with Priest a couple of sets ago, but not only has it beaten Priest at handling Aggro, it has also beaten Priest at being Aggro! With decks like Pirate/Tempo and Dragon Warrior, there's Mid-range and Aggro oriented decks other than Patron. Warriors are good, and they'll remain to be good. They have one of the best Basic and Classic sets, with the only bad cards being Warsong Commander (Classic Blizz Nerf), Cleave and Upgrade!. Yeah, that's it, every other card in some way contributes to its plethora of archetypes. Regardless of how good or bad the sets are for Warrior, it will stay afloat. As long as this class doesn't get ten 10 Mana 0/0 cards, this class will remain good.
My question is, how is Priest supposed to survive in a biased rotation system like this? Not just Priest, how are classes like Shaman and Hunter supposed to be good. Unless they get 4 Mana 7/7s each time, or 8 Mana cards that give them 12 Mana worth of value each time, they'll be low-tier classes. They should have re-done the entire Basic and Classic sets for all the classes when Standard started, and if not all, at least for Priest, Hunter and Shaman, to make it so there's not a need to give these classes overpowered cards just to have a place in the meta for them. All in all, enjoy your treat this time round Priests, but know that it won't last long. And before you know it, you'll be back to the Tier 3 Meta you've known so well.

Xeze posted a message on Balance Change PredictionsPosted in: General DiscussionMy predictions:
The Caverns Below: the reward turns all minions currently in your hand, field and deck into 4/4s. This means that, if bounced back or silenced/Polymorphed/Hex'd they won't retain the buff. This also means that minions summoned by effects (example: the Annoy-o-Trons of Giggling Inventor) won't have the buff either.
Baku the Mooneater: The Warrior Hero power now gives 3 Armor, instead of 4.
Wild Growth: now costs 3 mana, instead of 2.Branching Paths: either give less armor or the same option cannot be picked twice.
Juicy Psychmelon: now tutors less cards (either 2 or 3 minions).

ronintje posted a message on Hey Blizzard, about Casual Mode...Posted in: General DiscussionQuote from CypherBenkes >>Why not convert Casual into a Dual-Class mode with no ranks? Casual is meant for people to play freely,
Why not create a special dual-class mode and leave the casual to people who want to play freely?
Not like your idea is gonna change anything about the people playing strong decks to win games, it would just remove the casual for something else that isn't ranked.
It's pretty funny how people want to force others to play low winrate decks to make themselves feel better while playing their low winrate decks.
It's unranked, if you run into some high winrate deck you can't beat and don't want to waste your time on, just push the concede button, you aren't losing anything anyway.
Just stop whining about it being unfair people are playing high winrate decks or use decks that hard counter those high winrate decks and annoy them by beating them.TLDR: Leave the casual to people who don't want to play ranked without turning it into a whole different mode.

Each player wich we know decks brings Druid. is a 100% or "must have" class for ALL PLAYERS. seeing the rest of decks, at least all the players that bring Freeze mage, who cannot win agaisnt that cuantity of armor, will ban druid. Most of the others may ban druid also. If druid is 100% banned maybe Blizzard do something. My bet is a least 95% players will ban druid

Skill is the capacity to adapt to different situations. If you consider you an skilled player and can deal with the "luck" factor maybe you are no as skilled as you think.
Also "luck" is, as skill, a important factor in evolution. as Napoleon said:
“I know he's a good general, but is he lucky?”

NO native english, sorry for the inacurate speech
Curious. i see Hyldnir Frostrider more as a enabler of Moorabi and not to be that good neither. Is a winmore combo more than anything.
The cards i see more overloked, above the ones refered here, are:
1-Animated Berserker is a 1/3 for 1 and enables a lot of efects, as enrage. the draw of a card with Acolyte of Pain as you play it and some more. Also is a nail in the wounded warrior archetype ( still in theorycraft but , as some deckstypes Team5 design for Warrior, morethan needed tools will be given) Also works well with Rotface another underradar car imo.
2-Tainted Zealot the poor sister of Thalnos may see more play than anticipated.
3-Drakkari Enchanter maybe no so broken in standar but in Wild with Thaurisian is nuts.
4-Treachery i was playing MTG when they crete a similar card years ago. At first time no one know what to do with it, but most people keep them as thay know it was a unique mechanic and sooner or later will find his place. For know i dont see a definitive place yet more than fun combos with Howlfiend and Spreading Madness to discard enemys hand.
5-Strongshell Scavenger the sergeant of taunt warrior. Could build a taunt deck with him and Fatespinner as buffers
6-Lilian Voss i know stealth deck is still not a thing but in future. When auctioner goes to HOF can see play.

Only to counter the horde of The Lich King makes this card worthy

This card will have a natural predator in turn 8 Shadowreaper Anduin

ill wait till the dust settles. In ungoro i have more "must" craft objetives ( the mage quest and lyra, work both or not) Now i dont have a must craft objetive, even the mage or priest , that are the classes i most play. Said so i have my top 5 "to watch" list of legendaries, not the best but themost posibilities that ill like to have:
1-Frost Lich Jaina Maybe not playable. But as mage is my main class she has big numbers. The problem is that i dint craft Pyros yet, and it seems to fit in the same deck...
2- Shadowreaper Anduin This one i like more and think will have more play.
3-Sindragosa Uffffff, the other mage legendary. Time will tell if he is op or flop
4-Professor PutricideNot a big Hunter fan but see potentialin this card.
5-Lilian Voss As the hunter leg something in the back of my head says this card could have potential...
Also the crad with most potential seeing all the ampliation as a whole is Rotface but damned me if i craft him for a Fatigue( brainless) control warrior. as it will surely be one of the tops decks in the new meta...
1
When i see the little vamp of warlock i smelled it...with this one Blizzard has cross the red line 8 that they say will never cross) of dont implement discard in this game. In other games, like MTG, discard is no so brutal as you can interact with your cementery and can have 4 copies of each card ( yeah there are restricted cards but you can rescue them from cementery) In HS a discard is 99 time you can no play that card in that game...
2
im no oposite to "tech" cards than are great agaisnt his "prey" and bad in another matches. What i dont like is that, at the begining of the game "tech" cards were common (Acidic Swamp Ooze) or even rare ( Kezan Mystic ) And since a couple of ampliations they are mostly epics...
1
so....... jaina cost 9 and this one 5 . Also shaman has received better frozen and overall cards than any other class so far ( except maybe warrior) This made me question : How many time i have to wait to open a nerf post?
