I vote no. if you introduce politics in a game sooner or later whoever will take it too serious. For example in europe, a game of a Russian against an Ucranian, a person of greece against a german banner bearer. Or a independentist person of an independentist region ( Catalonia in Spain, North ireland) i think it can create a lot fo rage.

In other games they introduce a new "faction" in spetial editions . i remember the Black Freither in 7th sea. in fact i propose in apost that a whole adventure will be a good introduction to make a new char appear. Currently there are 35 cards for class. of those 10 are leveling cards. They could make the other 25 archievable inthe adventure and give space for class challenge for the rest of classes :)

To afford the gold you just play your ranked games day by day. And most importantly just have fun.

Depends a lot the class she likes and the type of deck. Generaly i recoment basic set. The spine of every decks is there. If she want mech deck buy some packs of g&g to get the commons. Naxx for a newcommer is expensive ( i play since late november and left play some day in chrismas and only buy ( with gold) 2 lvl of Naxx yet.

I think this card andFlamewaker are designed for a fire spell heavy deck. An this card will shine more withArcane Explosion than with Flamestrike. i think is designed for anew mage deck type. is not a great card, but not a bad one.

Also is a good card if we asume there will be more token decks ( Violet Teacher, imps various and paladin recruits)

I mean I found classic CW rather boring: Hit HP+Remove a minion into Hit HP+Remove a minion into ... into Gromm into win

@topic: I don't think classic CW will return and there is a reason for this: It is one of the most uninteractive decks ever, it has high similarity to Freeze Mage, only otk decks are less interactive. I don't say that this is bad, but blizz does not want that.

I know that HS is trying to make each class feel unique and special. and what I'm about to suggest goes against that, but hear me out.

I play a game called Force Of will, Its very common for decks to have some kind of card-fuckery be it bouncing, mind controlling, screwing with decks or even destroying enemy 'mana crystals' (will stones, but W/e). I even have whole decks based around it, Some of the cards are pretty cruel, I get to see the top card of their deck, and if I discard the top card of mine they must discard the top card of theirs. Others are pretty weak, I get to look at the top 3 cards of their deck and rearrange them as I please. HOWEVER, every 'class' (This game uses the MTG colour system, albiet with odd names, Light, dark, wind, water, fire,) Has ways of recovering. EG My 'water' deck allows me to swap cards in my hand for cards in  my grave, but only 1 card a turn, however the cards removed from my hand are removed from play totally. My black deck lets me re-summon creatures from the grave but I must pay health to do so. The key thing here is, yes while having cards discarded from my hand or deck is very annoying, I know that I have ways of bringing them back. It means that sure, you can put my win-condition in the grave, but all that means is that I now need to draw my specific resurrection card. effectively it buys them extra turns. And I think that's how these card-fuckery abilites should work, They should buy the player who uses them extra time, EG, if gnomeferatu discards antonidas it shouldn't be a insta concede for our exodia mage. it should just mean that our warlock knows that now he has some warning, EG, when the mage plays...lets call it "icy Clone" to let them put antonius back in their hand. he HAS to finish the mage this turn, or have some kind of backup that would prevent the mage from doing something with it. The key, is the capacity to recover, and respond to enemy actions. There should be some kind of counter-play to every option, it doesn't necessarily need to be GOOD, but it needs to be possible, Even a 5 mana 4/4 with the text 'battle cries don't go off" would be a option. It would mean that if the mage had 2 cards left and the warlock hadn't played his gnomeferatu's yet, the mage could play this card and know that at least he had done all he could do to stop the warlock just getting lucky. 

There's a very common misconception around here that if you have a bigger board you should win. You know what outvalues boards? Spells. You know who has a lot of spells? Mages. Mage is the spell class and it's weaknesses are very defined. Healing and armour will beat a mages limited burn and exodia only punishes greedy decks like most priest and druid deck any good value deck should be able to pop an ice block or two by turn 9.

at least the way I see it: nerfing ice block is a really a nerf to the whole class itself, mages REALLY need ice block for all of their archetypes. exodia mafe obviously needs a nerf but I think that that can be done in regards to other cards rather than a staple in every mage deck there is.

Kind of surprised by the results I have to say. The DK is fine. Not the strongest, but also not the weakest in my opinion. Warrior has so many viable archetypes that making an "auto include in every warrior deck" DK would be a bad idea. And giving lifesteal to the hero power would make the DK way too insane, in my opinion.

Exodia(Quest) Mage is a combo deck whose strategy is to get 4 sorcerer's apprentices and archmage antonidas onto the board and throw an infinite amount of fireballs at the enemy. This combo is possible because of Time Warp, which gives you an extra turn, and Molten Reflection/Simulacrum which allows you to copy Sorcerer's apprentices.


This deck is insanely difficult to play properly and requires a lot of intelligence and game knowledge to master completely. Be warned; new players to this deck will often lose many games before finally learning how to pilot it properly. The most important skills needed to pilot this deck well is proper management of hand size in order to not burn any cards by overdrawing, fast thinking, quick calculations of all the different possibilities of spells you can get from random spell generators and lastly, meticulousness.

This deck is extremely strong against greedy control decks due to its ability to kill the enemy with infinite fireballs and disregard their health and armor. It is notorious for being an uninteractive deck. It however, has its weaknesses, such as aggro decks, dirty rat, coldlight oracle, naturalize, eater of secrets, and ice block. A really good player of the deck however, will be able to still beat decks that it is supposedly weak to.

Overall, I feel Exodia Mage is a really fun and challenging deck to play. I recommend anyone looking for a deck that truly stimulates the mind to try it. It's like solving puzzles every game. Here's a video of me playing Exodia Mage, in case anybody wants to learn how to play it.

The decks are kinda made to be obnoxious.  I agree the suck to play against.  Still not as annoying as fatigue warrior or murloc paladin in my opinion though

I totally agree with this I mean, as a former MTG player I can understand people comparing HS to other card games and claiming they're all expensive. But at least in those games you can actually trade the cards.

When I played during the double gold festival, I felt the gold gain was at a good level. I even saved a couple of thousand for the upcoming expansion. Although I only got about 20 packs total (2 legendaries) I felt good. But then I started checking all the cards I wanted and got really disappointed.

IMO this game would be much better if dusting cards yielded 2x times the actual dust amount. So you'd only need to dust 2x leggos in order to get 1x you wanted. It'd also be better if the gold earned from quests/wins was doubled, like in the recent festival.
