I always found Mukla underrated and think this card has a lot of potential. Quest Mage, Quest Paladin, Lyra Priest and of course Miracle Rogue come to mind. Two one mana spells can be really good and there are not many cards with similar effects in standard right now.

This is the first 1 mana minion hunter gets since ungoro and the release of the hunter quest. It was about time, and it seems like a pretty good 1 drop. I like it quite a lot :)

Remember Felsoul Inquisitor ? Yeah, me neither.

Felsoul Inquisitor is actually underrated i think. i played it in control paladin with Val'anyr and Blessing of Kings and it didn't feel bad at all.
so this guy, with some magnetic mech synergy, could see play i think. lifesteal is pretty strong, especially with taunt.

nice card. maybe Cruel Dinomancer can become useful now. you play the dinomancers and this in a zoo deck, play the cheap minions you draw from this, only discard bigger stuff like giants or Doomguard and the dinomancer gets good value.

Val'kyr Soulclaimer sees no play, this won't for sure.

Val'kyr Soulclaimer was absolutely amazing before the nerfs, when odd paladin was really popular. it's not a bad card at all.

this new mech might be too expensive though. but, i still like it...

it's like Blood of The Ancient One . a crazy combo, hard to set up, but fun if it works out.

in competitive play this will probably have no place though, unless there are new synergies yet to be revealed.

    edit:
if it really only needs two 7 health minions, i guess some shenanigans with giants and whirlwind may be possible. maybe in some kind of dead mans hand warrior?

not sure if the nerf is enough, but i kinda like how soft blizzard went with the nerfs this time. and for spiteful summoner i think the nerf should at least be good enough to bridge the time till the next set. if it still seems too strong then, they might just add a low-roll to the 10-drop pool.

good changes. i think this might be the first time i am really happy with how they nerf cards. they all seem still playable (well, i don't know about the naga sea witch, cause i haven't played wild in a long time... seems like they killed it off).
i'm really excited to see how this will change things.

posted a message on Two Cards To Fix The Witchwood Meta

    hey, thanks for the answers!

i admit the thread title was more or less clickbait and i don't think the first card would have a significant impact on cubelocks dominance. i initially had a legendary in mind that fills both players boards with imps, but i thought this light version would be more fun. for control decks, which target to counter cubelock anyway these days, the imp wouldn't do much, as you keep a board clear ready for gul'dan. but i do think it could open up an alternative way to beat cubelock for decks that run it with other synergies. for rogue decks that run shadowstep anyway or a hunter deck with unleash and mc-tech.
and i mean, apart from the gul'dan "counter", wouldn't it be a nice card?

    Quote from GameTheory345 >>

As for your second card, it serves no purpose than to nerf Spiteful decks. Blizzard would not draft a card simply to nerf a class, that is bad game development and unfair. You did point out some synergy points, but they are incredibly obscure, and you might as well play a different card.

how is it bad game development and unfair? i think it's rather unfair to not take a card with such a strong effect into consideration whenever the cardpool changes. i absolutely think they should have made some weak-statted 10-drop in order to keep spiteful under control. there are several ways to do that without it being too obvious. i can't see anything unfair about it. the card should of course be playable on it's own and i thought it would be. i mean, i'm not talking highly competitive play. but it seems to me much more playable than duskfallen aviana ;)

posted a message on Two Cards To Fix The Witchwood Meta

    Hey,

I thought about the current meta and the Cubelock situation quite a bit lately. And while i strongly believe Blizzard will anounce a nerf patch soon (?), i would have preferred if they just gave us some ways to counter the most popular, kinda broken decks. Anyway, i made two cards that could have helped balance the current meta:

This card could be a soft counter to Bloodreaver Gul'dan , as it gives you the possibility of filling your opponents demon/resurrect pool with small 1/1 imps, reducing the power of the insane boardfill battlecry. I think it does this in a fun and unique way with some RNG fitting the Hearthstone design style.
The battlecry has three outcomes, ranging from summoning three 1/1s for yourself (which would be insanely good for aggro with Knife Juggler and the likes) to summoning two 1/1s for your opponent (which would be the desired outcome to counter Cubelock, but otherwise really dangerous). So you pretty much don't know what you get from this card and therefore it seems balanced to me. To get more consistency from it, you could try to bounce it or double the battlecry. I'm not even sure it would be good enough to really help against the Warlocks, but it could be fun to try out and it would give hope.

Cards to consider for combos/synergy/interaction: Mind Control Tech , Sea Giant , Murmuring Elemental , Unleash the Hounds , Frost Lich Jaina

So this card is not a direct counter to anything and doesn't need to be played to fix the meta. My intention was mainly to weaken the 10-drop pool, because i think Spiteful Summoner is way too strong at the moment. So yeah, in regards to Spiteful Summoner this card is really simple and aside from the Pirate tag it is just a 4/4 low-roll (still 8/8 worth of stats for 6 mana).
But i do actually think the card could be playable despite the low stats. Neutral weapons are a rare thing and only found in wild at the moment ( Blingtron 3000 , Medivh, the Guardian ) and even though all classes have at least one weapon now, only the old weapon classes really have access to significant amounts of damage by using weapons. Classes with strong defensive tools like Priest can deal 16 damage from this one card, as long as they manage to survive three more turns and find the right spot to pay the 10 mana. As a Mage you could use this to destroy your Aluneth to save yourself from fatigue damage and then finish off your opponent with some weapon swings in addition to your burn spells. And a druid could destroy his Twig of the World Tree , then play Greenskin on the same turn.
I doubt this card would be too strong and if it was, it would balance itself out with weapon removal.

Cards to consider for combos/synergy/interaction: Captain Greenskin , Upgrade! , Leeching Poison , Dread Corsair

Yeah, that's it. I hope you like the cards. Feedback appreciated :)
